New Zealand - 5th day of our 14 days journey around the pristine South Island
Our journey started in Christchurch. We travelled across the Alps to Greymouth, and then south to Te Anau via Fox Glacier and Queenstown. From there we forged our way to the east coast to Dunedin. Before returning to Christchurch, we ducked inland to Mt Cook and Lake Tekapo. This is the 5th day of our adventure. We travelled from Fox Glacier to Queenstown. We stopped at Bruce Bay, Lake Paringa, Lake Moeraki, Knights Point, Ship Creek and we did a lovely rainforest walk to Monro Beach. Monro Beach is known as a penguin paradise. Unfortunately we didn't see any as we were there early afternoon. Before we arrived in Queenstown we drove along Lake Wakatipu which gave us lots of photo opportunities. We were amazed by its colours.
