Fairview Riverside State Park in Louisiana by RV Adventures
This RV Adventures video takes you to southeastern Louisiana for a tour of Fairview Riverside State Park. The park is in Madisonville on the bank of the Tchefuncte River. When you enter the park, you will notice a large home facing the water. This is Otis House, originally built in the 1880s as the family home for sawmill owner William Theodore Jay. It was later purchased and renovated in the 1930s by Frank Otis, serving as his summer home until his death in 1962. Mr. Otis left the property to the State of Louisiana to be developed into a recreational site for visitors. The house was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Sent the drone straight up to the max altitude for a view around Tioga County. Got up to 1640 feet above the ground. Sun was low for good shadowing of the terrain. Christmas Day 2016. Temp was about 34 degrees F. From this height you can see Eddie's Restaurant, Lowes and the surrounding area, route 660 and Mack Rd, Cherry Flats Rd, the route 15 freeway, the town of Covington, among other things. About half of the Phantom 3 battery was used during this flight.
