Tecopa Hot Springs is located on a paved road approximately two miles off State Highway 127, fifty miles north of Baker, California and lies just east of the southern end of Death Valley National Park at an elevation of 1,325 feet. Las Vegas, Nevada is approximately eighty miles east.

China Ranch Date Farm - Tecopa, California - Slot Canyon
This video finds us on a visit to the China Ranch date farm in Tecopa, California the way it was on 4-4-2018. We hiked from the visitor center along Willow Creek to the confluence of it and the Amargosa River, and found a slot canyon to explore. The hike was easy and the slot canyon decent but the real attraction is the history.
The area is rich in history being that it is a very old oasis and part of the Old Spanish Trail, a trade route that took early travelers in this area from Santa Fe, New Mexico to southern California. It is definitely worth doing a bit of research into the history of this area as it has trade of goods, gold, borax and gypsum mining, railroad and ranching in it's past.
The date palms were planted from seed in the 1920's. The current owners are active in preserving the history here. Willow Creek and the Amargosa River are very important to all life in this area as well.
Aside from the large palm farm there is also a small museum, and many interesting old artifacts located here.

...If you like hot springs that are tucked away in nature you can join me in this (super dorky experimental video I took of myself with a $20 camera off ebay). In this short 3 min. video I take a walk through the San Bernadino National forest to some hidden and remote Hot Spring pools. The river is ice cold but the floor of the river bed is hot! Did a short reconnaissance flight over the springs to see how it looks from the air
Warm Springs, Nevada
Warm Springs, Nevada is now a ghost town. I found a little information on the internet about it that I will share below. The GPS coordinates are N38° 11.447' W116° 22.218'
Warm Springs is located at the intersection of US-6 between Tonopah and Ely and Hwy 375. This is the northern end of the Extraterrestrial Highway, about 59 miles northwest of Rachel. A natural hot spring provides abundant water, supporting an oasis of green in the otherwise very dry desert. There is a handful of abandoned buildings near the intersection.
The hot spring on the hillside, about 1000 feet from the highway, is worth exploring. The water is very hot, almost boiling. It flows down in a manmade channel to a small pool with a bathhouse. By the time it reaches the pool it has a very comfortable temperature. Unfortunately the pool is fenced off, with a clear Keep Out sign.
Next to the pool is the Warm Springs Bar and Cafe, an abandoned roadside restaurant from the 1970's. Both the pool and the restaurant belong to the Fallini family, who operates a ranch nearby at Twin Springs.
There are also a few larger stone cabins and a stone corral nearby. Reminders of the days when Warm Springs was a major stagecoach stop on the road to Tonopah, which was a mining boomtown in the early 1900's.
A second mining boom in Tonopah in 1979 brought new business to the new Warm Springs Bar and Cafe. The pool and bathhouse were built next door, and in the early 1980's travelers and miners could buy a bath in the naturally heated pool for a dollar. Later, when the mining boom was over and after disagreements with the operator, the Fallinis decided to close it down for good.
Warm Springs is a great spot for a rest stop, or even for an overnight camp. That is, as long as you don't expect any facilities. There is a public phone outside the bar, which is still working. But just like in Rachel you need a calling card. The phone does not accept coins.
