The Arboretum at Flagstaff Opening Events
The Arboretum at Flagstaff is kicking off Spring tomorrow with its opening event. This is the 35th year that The Arboretum has opened its doors to the public to spread horticultural knowledge about the plants.
Lynne Nemeth, Executive Director, talks about the conservation work that The Arboretum provides for the environment and endangered species. Victoria Leone, Marketing and Events Manager, talks about all of the events and attractions that the opening will provide. Some events include music, disk golf and food. The event has a general admission for the public, a discounted rate for students and is free for children.

Flagstaff, AZ is located in Northern Arizona near the San Francisco Peaks and the Grand Canyon. Due to the high elevation of the city in Arizona it is much cooler as the desert situated in South Arizona. Flagstaff is a dry place but rain and snow falls in the area, which is enough for the ponderosa pine trees to flourish and grown all over the landscape. The city is also located on the historical Route 66.
