British tourists were left stunned when waterspouts appeared outside their Gran Canaria hotel.
Louise Holman and her partner were gutted when a sudden downpour interrupted their sunbathing on their balcony.
Noticing what looked to be a tornado in the corner of pictures, they immediately started filming a huge waterspout that had formed over the sea ahead of them.
Louise said: “It was quite exciting although a little scary that it was so close to the land.

SUMMARY
=======
The Canary Islands (; Spanish: Islas Canarias, pronounced [ˈizlas kaˈnaɾjas]) is a Spanish archipelago and the southernmost autonomous community of Spain located in the Atlantic Ocean, 100 kilometres (62 miles) west of Morocco at the closest point. The Canaries are among the outermost regions (OMR) of the European Union proper. It is also one of the eight regions with special consideration of historical nationality recognized as such by the Spanish Government. The Canary Islands belong to the African Plate like the Spanish cities of Ceuta and Melilla, the two on the African mainland. The seven main islands are (from largest to smallest in area) Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. The archipelago includes much smaller islands and islets: La Graciosa, Alegranza, Isla de Lobos, Montaña Clara, Roque del Oeste and Roque del Este. It also includes a series of adjacent roques (those of Salmor, Fasnia, Bonanza, Garachico and Anaga). In ancient times, the island chain was often referred to as the Fortunate Isles. The Canary Islands are the most southerly region of Spain and the largest and most populated archipelago of the Macaronesia region. Historically, the Canary Islands has been considered a bridge between four continents: Africa, North America, South America and Europe. The archipelago's beaches, climate and important natural attractions, especially Maspalomas in Gran Canaria and Teide National Park and Mount Teide (a World Heritage Site) in Tenerife (the third tallest volcano in the world measured from its base on the ocean floor), make it a major tourist destination with over 12 million visitors per year, especially Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. The islands have a subtropical climate, with long hot summers and moderately warm winters. The precipitation levels and the level of maritime moderation vary depending on location and elevation. Green areas as well as desert exist on the archipelago. Due to their location above the temperature inversion layer, the high mountains of these islands are ideal for astronomical observation. For this reason, two professional observatories, Teide Observatory on the island of Tenerife and Roque de los Muchachos Observatory on the island of La Palma, have been built on the islands.
The capital of the Autonomous Community is shared by the cities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which in turn are the capitals of the provinces of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Province of Las Palmas. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has been the largest city in the Canaries since 1768, except for a brief period in the 1910s. Between the 1833 territorial division of Spain and 1927 Santa Cruz de Tenerife was the sole capital of the Canary Islands. In 1927 a decree ordered that the capital of the Canary Islands be shared, as it remains at present. The third largest city of the Canary Islands is San Cristóbal de La Laguna (a World Heritage Site) on Tenerife. This city is also home to the Consejo Consultivo de Canarias, which is the supreme consultative body of the Canary Islands.During the time of the Spanish Empire, the Canaries were the main stopover for Spanish galleons on their way to the Americas, which came south to catch the prevailing northeasterly trade winds.

After leaving the land of Joshua Trees, the FGF crew climbed aboard a ship bound for an island off the coast of California. Along the way the crossed paths with dolphins, whales, and seals. Upon arriving on the island of Santa Cruz they trekked across its vast plains until they came to rest at a tiny isolated harbor.

Song of the Canary DBCP story 1979
This is the first half of the 1979 documentary film Song of the Canary by Josh Hanig. The film is a powerful story of the hidden dangers in the American workplace - a story of men working in a pesticide company in California. During the making of this film, the furor set off by the filmmaker's discoveries about certain practices in the Ag Chem Department of Occidental Chemical Company, at a plant in California, resulted in a nationwide ban on the production of the pesticide DBCP. The filmmakers discovered that every one of the plant's employees involved in the production of that chemical had become sterile. Other abuses are also brought to light. In 1977, 60 workers at a chemical production plant in California making the pesticide DBCP (1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane), were found to be sterile. The EPA prohibited DBCP use in the United States in September 1977. DBCP is a potent carcinogen and perhaps the most powerful testicular toxin ever made. For more information about DBCP, go to the EPA website Canaries' deaths once warned coal miners when shafts were unsafe. This documentary is an alarming update about safety hazards in U.S. industry.

In late 2017, the fully refurbished Coral Reef indoor water park was reopened. The signature attraction is the waterslide tower with five new rides made by Dutch company Van Egdom. From a starting height of 12.5 metres, the colorful slides make their way down. Except for the Cannon speed slide, all slides are equipped with interactive iSlide effect programs that can be selected at the start.
00:18 Maelstrom:
A one- or two-person raft ride that is equipped with two funnels (Crazy Cones). The slide also features LED effects as well as a glass section straight through the slide tower.
01:04 Stormchaser:
A raft ride that is fitted with colorful LED effects as well as a steep drop in the end.
01:40 Aqua Splash:
A body slide that features colorful LED effects. The slide also comes with a long glass section crossing the staircase of the slide tower.
02:07 Poseidon's Peril:
This bowl slide (Super Crater) starts with a long and steep straight section with impressive running lights, followed by a huge bowl with projection effects.
02:44 The Cannon:
A very intense and fast high-speed body slide that runs in a steep helix. Especially in the end, speeds can really get extreme. The speed is underlined by gunbarrel effects which look really cool.

Oxycodone: What You Need To Know
Oxycodone is a popular member of the opioid class. It is widely used in medical settings for acute and chronic pain. Outside of those settings, it has long been used recreationally, with its effects compared to morphine and heroin.
The drug is sold either on its own or in combination with acetaminophen (primarily). When acetaminophen is present, the dose must be limited. The general recommendation is to avoid using over 1,000 mg of acetaminophen at once or 3,000 mg per day.
An oxycodone overdose can be very dangerous and even deadly, with a notably problematic effect being respiratory depression. It is more risky when combined with other CNS depressants (e.g. benzodiazepines and alcohol.)
