Hill Street Blues.pilot.intro
Hill Street Blues is an American serial police drama that aired on NBC in primetime from 1981 to 1987 for 146 episodes.
The show chronicled the lives of the staff of a single police station located on the fictional Hill Street, in an unnamed large city, with blues being a slang term for police officers for their blue uniforms.
The show received critical acclaim, and its production innovations influenced many subsequent dramatic television series produced in the United States and Canada. Its debut season was awarded eight Emmy Awards, a debut season record surpassed only by The West Wing. The show received 98 Emmy nominations during its run.
US Stamps Slideshow from 1850s to 1930s
US Stamps from the 1850s to 1930s in a close-up slideshow. About 30 individual mint and used stamps from the first 75 years of US Postal Service as set to Johnny Dodd's Blue Piano Stomp.
Included are beautiful used stamps including a gorgeous $1 Trans-Mississippi Cattle in the Storm stamp issued in 1898, and a neatly cancelled pair of the 15 cent Large Banknotes printed by the Continental Bank Note Company in 1873.
There are some beautiful mint stamps as well including some Graf Zeppelins (the $1.30 Brown and $2.60 Blue) which were issued shortly after the onset of the Great Depression.
My favorite picture is the #K8 Plate Block 'Shanghai' overprints. It is an extraordinarily scarce item and this one is beautifully centered.

More good stuff:
About Me:
I am a New Orleans native and veteran bass player. I’ve worked with Funk Music Legend Zigaboo Modeliste (The Meters), 80’s pop music and fashion icon, Jody Watley, Jon B., Prince Damons, LeviSeacer Jr. (Prince and the NPG), Ron E. Beck (Tower of Power), NyaJade, and many more. But, more importantly, I have worked with countless regional artists, theatre productions, and churches.
I have played more weddings than I can count. I have hundreds of nondescript, casual gigs under my belt that have paid me $100 (or $25 after you factor in learning the material, rehearsing, and gas) and given me only three hours of sleep on a Saturday so I can wake up and still make the 8:00 am church call.
I’ve shared stages with Maroon 5, Evanescence, the Dave Matthews Band, Outkast, the Black Eyed Peas, and some other acts you've no doubt heard of (and that I’ve never met). I have created online
courses, a wealth of YouTube video tutorials, and taught countless private lessons. I have been a contributor to NoTreble.com, and I have been featured in Bass Player Magazine. I earned my B.A. in Music Performance from California State University, East Bay with a focus on Double Bass.
I have what some might call white-collar credentials. I am also a blue-collar bassist.
