Norwegian Epic Cruise Day 6: Cannes, Nice, Monaco, tender boat, dinner at Cagney's VLOG
Travel VLOG, Shore Excursions in Monaco, Nice, Cannes
Day 6 of Norwegian Epic Cruise Trip where the cruise stop at port of Cannes.
This port is a little bit difference as we had to use tender boat in order to get to port since the water level was not deep enough.
Once reached the port, there were lots of destinations to choose as all the cities in French Rivera are very beautiful. We chose to go to Cannes, Nice, and Monaco by private van with driver.
We started by driving along the Boulevard de la Croisette and stopped by the famous Palais Des Festivals. We also walked along the Vieux Port and stopped by Hotel De Ville.
Then we moved on to Nice where we drove along the Promenade Des Anglais and stopped by Fontaine Du Soleil at Place Massena. Stood tall at the Fountain are Statue of Apollo and 5 bronze sculptures. From there we walked to the famous pebble beach of Nice.
From Nice, our driver drove us on the Scenic drive of the Boulevard Napoleon and stopped by at the fantastic photo spot of Villefranche-sur-Mer.
After that we moved to Monte Carlo , Monaco wherewe walked along the coast. Highlights were Casino, Yachts, Opera House, Fairmont Hotel. We had super yummy Pierre Marcolini Ice Cream. Nobby had good time jumping and running above the Fairmon Hotel as well as around the Statue of composer Jules Massenet.
It was time to say good bye to Monaco and hit back to Cannes for late lunch at La Pizza Cresci, afamous 60-year-old pizza restaurant in Cannes.
We walked around a bit in Cannes and then got back to the Cruise.
We had dinner at Cagney's, the steak house on Deck 7.
It was a fantastic day where we manage to visit 4 cities in 2 countries !!!
Please stay tuned for day 7 Video in Marseille

Beach Box Camps, Palma de Mallorca, 2016
This was our 8th Beach Box Camp in total. We have been to Egypt, Turkey, UAE, Latvia and Spain, but never at the same beach twice before till now, when we returned to lovely Palmanova beach in Palma de Mallorca. (Spain) We just had our camp at the beginning of October and we are sure to be back next year because this place is an absolute paradise!!
OK, the amazing destination is only one part of the feeling you get. There must be good weather, nice company, awesome coaching, advised entertainment and a lot of positive vibes to catch the best of the camp... BUT there is something more...something more essential than the above mentioned and it is YOU! We mean all of you!!
The camp participants are the ones who are the real soul of each camp and we couldn’t be more happier to have such wonderful people around us. So THANK YOU all for generating the best possible atmosphere, a lot of smiles and so much fun!!!
Palma 2016 brought us a lots of new things... Currently the biggest number of participants – 112 people from 20 different countries, the best coaching team ever – Aleksandrs Samoilovs [LAT], Adrian Carambula [ITA], Youssef Krou [FRA], Toms Smedins [LAT], Rivo Vesik [EST], Genadijs Samoilovs [LAT], Carlos Cartaya [USA], Alise Lece [LAT] and assistant coach Mihails Samoilovs [LAT], those are the names that speak for themselves, but for people who didn’t come to Palma, we can reveal a little secret... I think every camp participant will agree that not only the title of the worlds best players is what makes them special, but they have very unique personalities, they are outstanding coaches and super friendly and social guys and girls that won’t skip any activities. That also includes outside the beach volleyball courts together with campers. Whether it is a quiet dinner or a massive foam party at the largest club of Palma de Mallorca. :)
So what exactly were we doing in Palma for those 9 days? We had 6 complete training days with 2 training sessions each + 2 cross fit series on the beach led by Aleksandrs Samoilovs and Youssef Krou, 1 tournament day and 2 days off. We split training groups by no more than 8 people in each. Furthermore all trainings were based on a special program where each group got to train with every coach. Besides physical training, camp participants had a chance to attend a lecture about beach volleyball and video analysis both led by Aleksandrs Samoilovs. In the last day of the camp we had a final tournament where the best players were awarded with medals and other special prizes. So besides training and playing on the beach, we also had some entertainment, like “Let’s get to know each other” party in the first evening of the camp in the lovely seaside bar Il Chiringo. In the first free day 110 people were having a great time on 24 meter long party catamaran (boat) – where we were sailing, swimming, relaxing and dancing, this was really awesome!
Another super interesting activity was a world class exhibition game between Aleksandrs Samoilovs / Toms Smedins [LAT] and Adrian Carambula [ITA] / Youssef Krou [FRA] - a combination that had never been seen before! This was a great show. After the game we attended the biggest nightclub in Palma de Mallorca – BCM Planet Dance, where they had a foam party. Honestly we couldn’t imagine that towards the later part of the evening most of us would find ourselves completely wet in the foam having the best time ever…dancing, sliding, jumping and smiling. :) Even Aleksandrs Samoilovs, Youssef Krou and Toms Smedins couldn’t resist the fun and got into the biggest washing machine in Palma. :)
After such a night, the next day was the official rest day where campers spent their time relaxing, traveling around the island, exploring beautiful Palma and so on… Actually every evening of the camp was spent together with coaches, hanging out, playing games and chatting about different matters.
We still have a smile on our faces remembering every day of the camp and we hope you feel the same! THANK YOU once again for being with us and let’s see each other again in the next camp…
See you soon,
Beach Box Camps Team

Places to see in ( Sardinia - Italy ) Costa Paradiso
Places to see in ( Sardinia - Italy ) Costa Paradiso
They call Costa Paradiso heaven on earth and its coastline and scenery is worth a journey to experience. In this part of the Sardinian coastline you’ll find sandy beaches, a sea that glistens in the sun, and some wonderfully secluded places to relax. Sardinia is a beautiful island but head to the Costa Paradiso and you’ll be in heaven. The Costa Paradiso is located on the North Coast of Sardinia and is perfect for a chilled out break in the sun. This area stretches from Santa Teresa di Gallura to the small town of Castelsardo. The sea is a big attraction with beautiful beaches and spectacular granite rocks shaped by the sands. Off shore the deep waters are a big draw for scuba divers with many interesting and scenic dives from Santa Teresa di Gallura. There is sailing too, and windsurfing. For most people the distinctive inlets along the coast are one of the features of Costa Paradiso and why it is a popular destination. They run for 8 kilometers along the coastline from Monte Tinnari to Punta Cruzitta and are a delight to discover. These inlets have small secluded beaches that are scenic, romantic and ideal for those wanting to escape the crowds.
In Costa Paradiso it really is possible to have a beach all to yourself. The inlets are often considered the hidden treasures of Costa Paradiso with all of them different from the other. Some have natural swimming pools whilst others are characterised by the dramatic granite rocks. The pink cliffs of granite make this a spectacular coastline to explore, especially viewing the sunset. Of course Costa Paradiso has larger beaches to enjoy such as Cala Li Cossi which is just 10 minutes from the port. You’ll find many more to explore that are within a 40 minute drive of the main resort. Try Cala Spinosa or Rene Bianco for a lovely day by the sea. And the main airport at Alghero is just 100 kilometers away. For visitors to Costa Paradiso the ferry and airport at Olbia are a lot closer and more practical.
Costa Paradiso is a privately run resort where the owners maintain the area including the roads. It means that as a visitor you’ll have a level of exclusivity when using some of the beaches and the area around the resort. Even though Sardinia is a busy and popular holiday destination you’ll find peace and solitude in Costa Paradiso. Guests can choose from beautiful villas to rent when coming to Costa Paradiso and many are just a few minutes from the sea. The resort has some good restaurants, shops and even a disco and sports centre.
You can literally stay in the resort for your entire vacation with everything you need to hand. Or, you can head to the neighbouring towns and countryside to see even more of Sardinia. The 18th century town of Santa Teresa di Gallura was further developed in the 1960s and has some great bars and restaurants. You’ll find coastal boat trips here too and you can even see the tip of Corsica from the town. Close by the Bronze Age settlement of Complesso nuragico di Lu Brandali is an interesting place to visit.
Costa Paradiso is famed for its Mediterranean vegetation as well as the pink granite coastline. There are lots of beautiful walks in the area and you can also rent bicycles to explore the countryside. Photographers will delight at the sunsets and the distinctive rock formations that define the coastline. For many people coming to Sardinia, the food is a big attraction and costa Paradiso is no exception.
Whilst the villas have self-catering facilities you’ll find fabulous seafood in the restaurants and local markets for regional specialties. Santa Teresa di Gallura has one of the best markets around where you can stock up on local cheeses and fruits. For a relaxing holiday in a welcoming and magnificent setting head to Costa Paradiso where you will very quickly discover why it is simply called heaven.
