Puerto Rico is an Amazing Vacation destination we can't want to go back. If you are trying to decide where to stay When traveling to San Juan, I recommend Isla Verde because it has a better beach than the Condado hotel resort area. However there are some really nice resorts in the Condado area and if you are staying at one of those it could be worth checking that area out in the evening for dinner and drinks because it looks like it has a better night scene. After walking around old San Juan and Fortleza street we got in the car and went for a drive to the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar for the first night which was great because they provided a crib free of charge, a really laid back chill beach, Jimmy Buffet's 5 o Clock somewhere bar, lots of pools, hot tubs, fire pit, swim up bar and much more. After winning at the casino we opted for the breakfast buffet which was exceptional. The next day we Drove into el Yunque National Forest and hiked to waterfalls and pools to swim in. Later we drove to Seven Seas Beach and Caroline tried to snorkel but couldn't see much apparently it was not the best time of year for snorkeling, but the water was much calmer there compared to other parts of the island more exposed to the wind. The second Night we stayed at the Fajardo Inn Resort which is a great place for kids because it has two Giant pools a waterslide miniature golf, basketball courts, gym, grills, 2 restaurants and a thrifty car rental on site. We wanted to take the ferry to Culebra but it was very windy so we opted to drive south to Yabucoa to Playa El Cocal where we enjoyed another roadside meal. A delicious red beans and rice covered in chopped pork, and shrimp ceviche. The last night we stayed at the Hyatt Place near the convention center San Juan; which features a pretty nice breakfast spread with scrambled eggs, sausage , assortment of cheeses bagels, muffins, ham, turkey, milk, cereal, and fresh squeezed juices. The next morning after check out we drove to Condado to check out the resort area and have lunch where Caroline had her favorite Puerto Rican meal Mofongo which is smashed up plantains and garlic with the meat of your choosing. From there we drove back to Old San Juan to Explore the old fort and Cemetery.

The Paso Fino name means 'fine step'. The Paso Fino is a blend of the Barb, Spanish Jennet, and Andalusian horse and was bred by Spanish land owners in Puerto Rico and Colombia to be used in the plantations because of their endurance and comfortable ride. All Pasos share their heritage with the Peruvian Paso, the American Mustangs, and other descendants of Colonial Spanish Horses. Puerto Rican and Colombian horses, as well as Paso Finos from Cuba and other tropical countries, have been interbred frequently in the United States to produce the modern American Paso Fino show horse.
On the second voyage of Christopher Columbus from Spain to the Americas in 1493, he disembarked with his soldiers, 20 horses and 5 mares on the island of Borinquen at the bay of Aguada (today Añasco), and gave the region the name San Juan Bautista.[2][3] Soon after, in May 1509, the first governor of the island, Juan Ponce de León, brought horses to Puerto Rico from his hacienda, El Higuey, located on the neighboring island of La Española (now Hispaniola).

the concept
Dream in Porto Rican is straight up old school hardcore in the best tradition of the Bad Brains and Black Flag. The lyrics talk about surviving the modern day genocide of people of color in the ghettos of this country called amerikkka. Inspiration is drawn from the early hip-hop pioneers like Afrikabambatta, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, KRSONE and Public Enemy. An odl school ghetto hip-hop video done with a hardcore punk band is essentially what it comes down to.
the story
The video was shot on an abandoned lot on 117th street in El Barrio, NY. In a true anarcho-punk stylee we built a small stage the afternoon before, without asking permission from whoever owned the lot. This whole concept of buying and selling and owning and renting and leasing rubs us wrong, so asking permission was out of the question. Crazy Horse said it best One does not sell the earth upon which the people walk and Chief Seattle asked the white man How can you buy and sell the sky? and 500 years later these questions still remain unanswered while rents go up like eviction notices. The lyrics make plenty of reference to this and in keeping true to our beliefs we did as we pleased. The people next door in the community garden looked out for the stage until we shot the next day. An open invitation went out to our co-horts and community to come down and participate and we wound up having a conscious party. At the end of the day we took apart the stage and gave it to the community garden next door. They used the wood to fortify their Casita. - vagabond
NO MONEY DOWN
the concept
No Money Down is a direct assault on capitalist corporate commercialization. It was shot to look like a surveillance video you would find in a bodega. The bar code in the upper left-hand corner has a special significance. The numbers under the bar code mark the date (12.10.1898) that spain sold Puerto Rico to the u.s. for $20 million dollars at the end of the spanish-Cuban- american war. The dollar amount at the bottom of the screen starts out cheap (because selling-out at any price is cheap) and runs backwards as a symbol that the time for being bought and sold is running out.
the story
Originally the concepts for these anti-videos came up separately and were developed separately because there was no telling if we were ever going to find the money to make them happen. No Money Down was shot in the summer of '97 a few months after we had all gotten back from the Salsa Con Sabotage Tour in El Salvador. We invited a few friends to come down to do what they do whenever RICANSTRUCTION plays. We did 12 takes and it exhausted everyone but it was a lot of fun and that comes through in the end. And the fun didn't distract from the message we wanted to send. - vagabond

Cliff diving is a popular activity among tourists but the thrill can come at a price. In 2015 in the U.S. alone, more than two dozen leaps ended in death. We traveled to Jamaica, a popular spot for the stunt, one American suffered a bloody cut to her nose. IE producer Charlie McLravy was recording in the water when a tourist cut their nose. It hit close to home for McLravy. He nearly lost his life in 2009 after leaping off a bridge near Yosemite, California while on vacation with his family.
