Traditionally, banks and other financial institutions sell their own products. However, competitive mortgage have made the role of the mortgage broker more popular. In well developed mortgage markets, mortgage brokers are the largest sellers of mortgage financial products for lenders. A mortgage broker acts as an conduit who brokers or helps clients qualify for mortgage loan products on behalf of individuals or businesses.
The role of the Mortgage functions to find a bank or a direct lender that an individual seeks with a specific loan product that the individual is seeking.
Mortgage Brokers in the United States are regulated to ensure compliance with banking and or finance laws in the jurisdiction of the consumer through the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
The major difference between a mortgage broker and a loan officer is that a mortgage broker works as an intermediary between the buyer and the lender, whereas the loan officer typically works directly for the lender.

U.S. Army Regimental System
The United States Army Regimental System was established in 1981 to replace the Combat Arms Regimental System, to provide each Soldier with continuous identification with a single regiment, and to support that concept with a personnel system that would increase a soldier’s probability of serving recurring assignments with his or her regiment. The USARS was developed with the intention that it would enhance combat effectiveness by providing the opportunity for a regimental affiliation, thus obtaining some of the benefits of the traditional regimental system.

Opening—Anna Deavere Smith—How We Show Up—2016 TCG—Washington, DC—June 23, 2016
Theatre Communications Group presents the 2016 TCG National Conference: Theatre Nation (ASL-interpreted) livestreaming on the global, commons-based peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv Thursday, June 23 to Saturday, June 25. Share your thoughts and media with hashtags #TCG16 and #howlround in all social media platforms. Follow @TCG and @HowlRoundTV in Twitter for updates.
What does it mean to be a citizen of Theatre Nation?
From June 23-25, the 2016 TCG National Conference: Theatre Nation will bring together over 1,000 theatre practitioners from across the globe for performances, knowledge sharing, and thought-provoking speakers. We’ll build on the success of the 2015 Cleveland Conference—our highest-rated in history—by further innovating programming like our Skills-Building Workshops and At the Intersections arcs, empowering deeper professional development and peer connection.
We’ll also seize the unique opportunity of assembling at our nation’s capitol during an election year to imagine a more central role for our art form in civic life. In a time of political polarization and civil strife, can we imagine a Theatre Nation whose borders are not bound by walls, but opened through affinities of passion and creative practice? Can we create a Theatre Nation that welcomes everyone who shares those affinities, and equitably represents them? What is our bill of rights (and responsibilities) for citizens of Theatre Nation? How might we declare our interdependence? How can our Theatre Nation model a more perfect union for our country and world? The answers to these questions can only be found through an inclusive and participatory process that engages the full diversity of our field—which means we need you.
At the heart of this work lies TCG’s vision of “A better world for theatre. A better world because of theatre.” We’ll bring that activist spirit to visit legislators on Capitol Hill. We’ll invite practitioners from across the world, because we know members of our Theatre Nation are global citizens. We’ll continue our conversations on equity, diversity, and inclusion, and we’ll spotlight the artistry that is the center of all our work.

The Nightmare World of Gang Stalking
More than 10,000 people worldwide claim they're the victims of a vast organized surveillance effort designed to ruin their lives, a phenomenon known as gang stalking. Mental health experts see gang stalking as a symptom of paranoia, but the self-identified victims who insist what they're experiencing is real have come together online and in support groups to share their stories.
VICE met up with a handful of Americans who claim their lives have been derailed by gang stalking to understand what serious consequences the phenomenon presents. Then we hear from Dr. Josh Bazell, one of many physicians who believes the victims of gang stalking are experiencing dangerous delusions that could be treated by mental health professionals.

SUMMARY
=======
Henry Dearborn (February 23, 1751 – June 6, 1829) was an American soldier and statesman. In the Revolutionary War, he served under Benedict Arnold in the expedition to Quebec, of which his journal provides an important record. After being captured and exchanged, he served in George Washington's Continental Army, and was present at the British surrender at Yorktown. Dearborn served on General Washington's staff in Virginia. He was US Secretary of War, serving under President Thomas Jefferson from 1801 to 1809, and served as a commanding general in the War of 1812. In later life his criticism of General Israel Putnam's performance at the Battle of Bunker Hill caused a major controversy. Fort Dearborn in Illinois and the city of Dearborn, Michigan, were named in his honor.

SUMMARY
=======
The United States Merchant Marine refers to either United States civilian mariners, or to U.S. civilian and federally owned merchant vessels. Both the civilian mariners and the merchant vessels are managed by a combination of the government and private sectors, and engage in commerce or transportation of goods and services in and out of the navigable waters of the United States. The Merchant Marine primarily transports cargo and passengers during peacetime; in times of war, the Merchant Marine can be an auxiliary to the United States Navy, and can be called upon to deliver military personnel and materiel for the military. Merchant Marine officers may also be commissioned as military officers by the Department of Defense. This is commonly achieved by commissioning unlimited tonnage Merchant Marine officers as Strategic Sealift Officers in the Naval Reserves.Merchant mariners move cargo and passengers between nations and within the United States, and operate and maintain deep-sea merchant ships, tugboats, towboats, ferries, dredges, excursion vessels, charter boats and other waterborne craft on the oceans, the Great Lakes, rivers, canals, harbors, and other waterways.As of October 1, 2018, the United States merchant fleet had 181 privately owned, oceangoing, self-propelled vessels of 1,000 gross register tons and above that carry cargo from port to port. Nearly 800 American-owned ships are flagged in other nations.The federal government maintains fleets of merchant ships via organizations such as Military Sealift Command (part of the US Navy) and the National Defense Reserve Fleet, which is managed by the United States Maritime Administration. In 2004, the federal government employed approximately 5% of all American water transportation workers.In the 19th and 20th centuries, various laws fundamentally changed the course of American merchant shipping. These laws put an end to common practices such as flogging and shanghaiing, and increased shipboard safety and living standards. The United States Merchant Marine is also governed by more than 25 (as of February 17, 2017) international conventions to promote safety and prevent pollution.P.L. 95–202, approved November 23, 1977, granted veteran status to Women Airforce Service Pilots and any person in any other similarly situated group with jurisdiction for determination given to the Secretary of Defense who delegated that determination to the Secretary of the Air Force. Although the Merchant Marine suffered a per capita casualty rate greater than those of the US Armed Forces, merchant mariners who served in World W ...

SUMMARY
=======
Puerto Ricans and people of Puerto Rican descent have participated as members of the United States Armed Forces in every conflict in which the United States has been involved since World War I. In World War II, more than 65,000 Puerto Ricans service members served in the war effort, including the guarding of U.S. military installations in the Caribbean and combat operations in the European and Pacific theatres.Puerto Rico was annexed by the United States in accordance to the terms of the Treaty of Paris of 1898, ratified on December 10, 1898, as consequence of the Spanish–American War. U.S. Citizenship was imposed upon Puerto Ricans as a result of the 1917 Jones-Shafroth Act (the Puerto Rican House of Delegates rejected US citizenship) and were expected to serve in the military. When an Imperial Japanese Navy carrier fleet launched an unexpected attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, Puerto Ricans were required to bear arms in defense of the United States. During World War II, it is estimated by the Department of Defense that 65,034 Puerto Ricans served in the U.S. military. Most of the soldiers from the island served in either the 65th Infantry Regiment or the Puerto Rico National Guard. As the induction of Puerto Ricans into the armed forces increased many were assigned to units in the Panama Canal Zone and the British West Indies to replace the continental troops serving in regular Army units. Those who resided in the mainland of the United States were assigned to regular units of the military. They were often subject to the racial discrimination that was widespread in the United States at the time.Puerto Rican women who served had their options restricted to nursing or administrative positions. In World War II some of the island's men played active roles as commanders in the military. The military did not keep statistics with regard to the total number of Hispanics who served in the regular units of the Armed Forces, only of those who served in Puerto Rican units; therefore, it is impossible to determine the exact number of Puerto Ricans who served in World War II.
