About Kum Quat
Kumquats or cumquats are a group of small fruit-bearing trees in the flowering plant family Rutaceae, either forming the genus Fortunella, or placed within Citrus sensu lato. The edible fruit closely resembles that of the orange (Citrus sinensis), but it is much smaller and ovular, being approximately the size and shape of an olive.
They are slow-growing evergreen shrubs or short trees, from 2.5 to 4.5 metres (8 to 15 ft) tall, with dense branches, sometimes bearing small thorns. The leaves are dark glossy green, and the flowers white, similar to other citrus flowers, borne singly or clustered in the leaf-axils. Depending on size, the kumquat tree can produce hundreds or even thousands of fruits each year.
The kumquat originally comes from south Japan and China. The meaning of the word kumquat is Golden Fruit; it was brought in Corfu in 1860 by the English agronomist Merlyn. The kumquat plants grow mainly in the NW of part of the island and it is one of the main agricultural products of Corfu.
Kumquat is a source of vitamins A and C. Vitamin C helps in wound healing, the health of the connective tissue and absorption of free radicals. The high content of kumquat in fiber makes it beneficial for the control of appetite and constant saturation. Dietary fiber is known to reduce high cholesterol. Kumquat imparts beneficial properties to health due to the antioxidants.
Kumquat is a good source of Vitamin B, which acts as cofactor to metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Is a moderately source of metals such as calcium, copper, potassium, manganese, iron, selenium and zinc. Calcium is the most important element that is required for the formation of bones and teeth. Copper is required for the production of red blood cells. Iron is necessary for the formation of red blood cells and to cell oxidation.

Villa Andreas Corfu
Villa Andreas is a charming house of great character, modern, but with many of the features so admired in traditional Corfiot houses; beamed ceilings, attractive stonework, corner fireplace. Set on a green hillside overlooking the village and harbour of Kassiopi, it has a lovely, quiet setting, but is no more than a few minutes drive away from all the amenities of Kassiopi and Corfu itself.

Sitti: A Social Enterprise
Sitti (si’-TEE meaning “my grandma,” an Arabic term of equal parts endearment and respect in Palestinian culture) produces 100% all-natural olive oil soap, lovingly handmade by the skilled women artisans of Jerash Refugee Camp (aka “Gaza Camp”) in Jordan.
Sitti soap is sustainable, ethically sourced and produced. No additives. No nonsense. Just beautiful, naturally fragrant and pure olive oil soap!
Established in 2015, Sitti is a social enterprise that is working with women refugees of Palestinian (Gazan) origin in Jerash Refugee Camp in Jordan to lift them and their community out of poverty through skill development and employment opportunities. We partner with non-profit and for-profit institutions to establish a competitive foothold as a beauty and lifestyle brand. Our products find their origin in Palestinian traditions, and are designed for to compete in the modern marketplace.
Sitti is now working to meet rapidly growing demand around the world! We need to expand beyond our small workshop inside the refugee camp into a new space, with more women artisans, more supplies and more room for inventory.

Local market - bazaar in Greece
One of the many air- open local market in Greece. Abundance of local products (vegetables, fruits), fish, flowers, but also clothes, shoes, bags, house items (from cooking bowl to sheets: what ever you need for the daily life). A adventure for the senses: see the beautiful colors, smell the lands (or sea) products, touch the clothes, hear the people shouting their price, and taste the fresh local food.

???? Travel designer, I organise for you - and with you - the kind of holiday that will suit you best. Together we can co-create a unique travel experience in line with your interests, needs and dreams as well as with the amount of time and the budget that you have at your disposal
How does it work?
You give me your travel idea (if you don't have any, I'll be happy to suggest something inspiring), and I then use it as the basis for a made-to-measure programme that would take into account your specific needs and desires, as well as whether you are travelling solo or as a couple, with your family or a group of friends
You can get a free cost estimate for your dream trip project
Aims and goals :
- Authentic travel experiences in total autonomy and at your own pace
- High-quality services
- Direct contact with locals
- Fair-trade tourism
Values:
- tailor -made holidays built around the principles of sustainable tourism and with respect for the natural, cultural and social environment of places being visited;
- commitment to partner exclusively with small family businesses, the motive behind being to maintain the quality of the services provided, as well as to support economic activities that could benefit the population (which is particularly important for rural communities), to ensure preservation of an area's natural, cultural and social resources and to create conditions for travellers' contact with local inhabitants in an authentic, non-touristy way
Arranging theme trips :
The Nouvelle Odyssée organises theme trips intended for groups of no more than 14 travellers. The size limit helps to make sure each member's personal needs and interests are reckoned with and that the friendly vibes within a group are maintained all along. One other reason is to avoid disturbing local wildlife (for trips that involve nature outings)
Nouvelle Odyssée's hallmark:
- non-standard, made-to-measure trips, to suit your budget, lifestyle, needs and aspirations;
- arrival and departure dates to be chosen at your convenience;
- a detailed programme of your stay, complete with relevant travel tips so that you can have an enjoyable and smooth-running trip;
- affordable prices due to the use of local partners' services;
- local tour guides that you can trust and that will help you get an authentic travel experience
Nouvelle Odyssee's travel philosophy:
- openness (experiencing one's own Odyssey journey with the eyes, mind and heart wide open);
- slow tourism (taking one's time to explore little by little (siga-siga in Greek)).
Indeed, when you have no group to catch up with and there is no rush for you to get to your next destination, why not let yourself forget time for a while and indulge in sunset watching, enjoy a laid-back chat with locals, or just get some rest?
Walking at Vlychada beach, in Santorini Greece - Ultra HD [4K 60] Nature Sounds (better quality)
Walking at Vlychada beach, located on the south coast of Santorini, 13 kilometers from Fira (center os the island). It stands out for the overwhelming carved cliffs that resemble a sculptor’s work but is, in fact, a natural process owed to the volcano, the wind and the sea. It is a lengthy beach with relatively shallow waters and dark volcanic sand and pebbles, like most beaches in Santorini. Not that crowded, you can spend many relaxing hours here and cherish the spectacular sight all around. Enjoy nature sounds by the beach, wave sounds walking in the beach.
Location: Vlychada beach, Santorini island, Greece

Rio-Antirrio bridge to Thermo (Highway and mountain road driving, Greece) - onboard camera
Driving from Rio--Antirrio (Charilaos Trikoupis) bridge towards Thermo (town). The video starts from Rio-Antirrio bridge (Greece's longest bridge), continues on a small part of Greek National Road 48 and then follows a mountainous journey towards Thermo.
The journey has many beautiful parts: narrow segments, consecutive hairpins, an extremely narrow bridge, parts with destroyed asphalt etc. In a few words it has all the elements to keep a driver challenged and interested in it!
The video continues a few kilometers after Thermo. It passes through it and then through the villages Megas Dendros and Taxiarchis and finishes on part of the road that leads to Prousos village (and Orthodox Monastery) which is above and has a nice view of Lke Trichonida (Trichonis), Greece's largest lake.
