United Airlines Flight 232 Reflection Ceremony
A Reflection Ceremony is held in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the United Airlines flight 232 crash in Sioux City, at the Mid America Museum of Aviation and Transportation on Saturday, July 19, 2014.
Boeing 727-200F Walk-Around
On a very windy day in the heartland of America, I found a donated FedEx Boeing 727 on display. This particular 727 (N246FE), was built in 1980 for Ansett Airlines, until FedEx (then Federal Express), got the airplane in 1988. After years of service, the aircraft was donated around 2009 to the Mid America Museum of Aviation and Transportation in Sioux City, Iowa. Since then, the aircraft has been on display for all to see, and is currently being renovated into a learning center from what I heard. So though this airplane may never fly again (though its rudder sure wants to), it will continue its service as a education tool to help educate both the young and old on Aviation. Also in this video (as the camera goes to shots of the landscape), is where United Airlines flight 232 crash-landed on July 19, 1989. As a result, the museum has a large exhibit about the crash, how it all unfolded, and the lives lost on that day. On a lighter note, I would like to thank you for watching and to consider subscribing, as it can help my channel grow. Thanks.

It's All Earth & Sky
Its All Earth and Sky!, was the reaction of one German-Russian immigrant when she arrived on the plains of the Midwest. Like many others who came to the region seeking a land of promise and opportunity, she and her family enduredand prevailedon this rich, expansive landscape.
Immigration implies departure as well as arrival. Transport from one country to another may mean deportation; it inescapably includes exile whether voluntary or forced, and brings disruption to families in the old country and in the new. Immigrants require courage and fortitude, even when they are weak and poor. Like many others who have come here seeking a land of promise and opportunity, Germans from Russia have suffered and they have prevailed. Since their background and history is as rich in texture as it is in diversity, they serve here as a model of assimilation of other ethnic groups into American society. Five representative Germans from Russia who have attained success and stability share their insights on the process of becoming American.

10 Incredible Ways Pilots SAVED Their PLANES
On December 17, 1903 the Wright Brothers made history with the first powered, controlled, and sustained heavier than air flight. Since then flying has gotten safer, but following Murphy’s Law, if something can go wrong, it will go wrong. Thousands of feet above the ground, when that something takes a turn for the worse it’s up to the pilots to prevent their planes (and themselves) from slamming into the Earth.
