Lompoc, California is dubbed The City of Arts and Flowers and is also becoming known for its local wines after the movie Sideways was filmed in Lompoc (bowling alley scene) and east of Lompoc in the Santa Ynez Valley Solvang and Buellton. In 2010 Playboy magazine named Jasper's a local Lompoc bar as one of the top 10 dive bars in the country. Lompoc is also known as The Mural City for its painted buildings.

Visitors from all over the world come to Lompoc, California to tour the beautiful and unique outdoor mural collection. With nearly 40 murals painted on street corners, alleyways and buildings, the murals have transformed downtown Lompoc, CA into an outdoor art gallery.
Mural in a Weekend was a community painting event held October 8-9, 2016 in Lompoc, California, presented by the Lompoc Mural Society in partnership with Explore Lompoc. Lompoc Champion Center: An Autopsy
The Lompoc Valley Medical Center Board of Directors failed to provide proper oversight for the Champion Center. They lost $12 million in start-up and operating costs & owe $27 million for a construction loan. They are left with a buildng they haven't been able to lease or sell.

My first attempt to capture the beauty of the city of Lompoc. Since I'm pretty new at this I didn't have any special equipment like gimbals. Growing up in Lompoc Ca.
Our father left our family for another woman when I was 4 years old. Mom with no more than a seventh grade education worked three jobs, tending bar and clerking in a toy store to raise us.
We wanted nothing and were given everything. She survived cancer when I was 16 years old.
Mom was loved by all and died before my children could meet and enjoy her.

This video I had captured the location of the transfer station in the Town Center mall where all transit buses of Santa Maria Area Transit (SMAT) stop every 30 minutes for most bus routes. At the beginning of the video, I had captured on video a blimp flying over the city. Just in case it cannot be seen on video, the blimp says #1 in life from Met Life insurance. In the video, I had captured on video a transit bus named The Breeze Bus. The Breeze Bus provides public transit connection for Santa Maria, Vandenberg Air Force Base and Lompoc, both located roughly 20 to 30 minutes driving time away from Santa Maria with transfers to SMAT in Santa Maria and City of Lompoc Transit (COLT) in Lompoc.

I had this old song lying around, made a cheesy little video slideshow along with it for a friend a few years back. Have lots of family in Lompoc, so it's nice to know their small town has it's own theme song.
