Muzeul are parter și două etaje.
In 2005, only 10 years after the revival of the monastic life in Barsana, in one of the magnificent buildings of the monastery, a museum was set up to tell about the history and traditions of Maramures. It is a superb building, which through architecture and ornamentation perfectly fits in the traditional Maramures style in which the whole monastery was built. The museum has ground floor and two floors. Even at the entrance there is a stand from where church objects and souvenirs can be bought, but in the rest of the ground floor there are exposed old icons and old church books gathered in the area. On the first floor is a beautiful Maramures ethnographic exhibition, and on the top floor, the only one built only of wood, a sale exhibition where there are glass icons and other objects made by nuns. The central space of the museum is wide, emty, open to the high of the whole building and creates a strong impression. To the inner courtyard, but also to the outdoors (Barsana village), there are magnificent traditional-style balconyes.

Partea a VIII-a: Îndeletniciri agricole
Part 8: Agricultural Occupations
In the final video of the series, Mrs. Gramada, the wife of the museum's creator, presents us a part of Bucovina's traditions concerning the agriculture and food preparation: old utensils and appliances, the bee-keeping, the traditional sheepfold, flora and fauna.
The amazing ethnographic collection located in the eastern part of Câmpulung Moldovenesc celebrates now 40 years since it was initiated by its creator, Mr. Ioan Grămadă. The 10,740 exhibits are thematically grouped in 14 halls and 13 exhibition spaces, covering almost everything that tradition, history, craftsmanship, spirituality, traditional art, education, culture and day-to-day life of Bucovina people, but not only their own. The sensation is overwhelming when the exhibits come to life in the narrative of our guides, Mr. Gramada and his wife, leading us through history from the oldest times to the present day, carrying us through all Bucovina but also on other distant lands. Seeing the exhibits and listening to their words, we rebuild a whole world, now largely gone, with the most unexpected connections. An authentic, original culture lesson, expressing the intelligence and the love for beauty of the Bucovinians and of the two collectors who have capitalized on her inheritance. For a better understanding, I invite you to watch the subtitles carefully.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Transylvania is a historical region which today is located in central Romania. Bound on the east and south by its natural borders, the Carpathian mountain range, historical Transylvania extended westward to the Apuseni Mountains. The term sometimes encompasses not only Transylvania proper, but also parts of the historical regions of Crișana and Maramureș, and occasionally the Romanian part of Banat.
The region of Transylvania is known for the scenery of its Carpathian landscape and its rich history. It also contains major cities such as Cluj-Napoca, Brașov, Sibiu, Târgu Mureș and Bistrița.
The Western world commonly associates Transylvania with vampires, due to the influence of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula and its many film adaptations.
