Grand Central Market Los Angeles Walking Tour | 4k No music
Hey Guys, I started this walk from the Bradbury building then headed over to Grand Central Market. Comment Below if you enjoyed the walk!
Here is some info on Grand Central Market:
The Grand Central Market in Los Angeles is the oldest open-air market on the west coast. It has an early 1900's feel. Grand Central Market is one of the best places to visit if you want to experience the international diversity of Los Angeles. Grand Central Market has over 40 vendors selling fruit, vegetables, meat, spices and other items. There are also many informal restaurants thate offer many cuisines—including Thai, Chinese, Peruvian and Mexican—in the midst of sawdust floors.
Grand Central Market, a downtown landmark since 1917, brings together the cuisines and cultures of LA.
Grand Central Market opened in 1917 and has been in continuous operation since. A hundred years ago, Broadway was the principal commercal and entertainment corridor of downtown Los Angeles. Bunker Hill, to the west, was covered with stately Victorian mansions, and the area's stylish residents rode down on Angels Flight to shop for groceries in the Market's open air arcade.
The Market has always reflected the changing population of downtown, and in the 1920s our ninety-plus vendors included multiple green grocers, fishmongers, Jewish delis, and butchers, as well as stalls for dry goods, baked goods, flowers, coffee, cheese, notions—and even one vendor who sold nothing but eggs. DTLA has been evolving ever since, and the Market has continued to evolve with it.
In 1984, downtown visionary Ira Yellin, a successful developer with an academic interest in urban planning and historical preservation, bought Grand Central Market and adjacent properties including the Million Dollar Theater, as well as the landmark Bradbury Building across the street. Ira passed away in 2002, but today Adele Yellin continues to champion his vision that a dynamic city needs a vibrant downtown.
Hope You Enjoyed It!

Then & Now Farmers Market Los Angeles
Experience the fun at the Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles. In 2009, The Farmers Market celebrates 75 years at 3rd and Fairfax.
Los Angeles Farmers Market and The Grove, Fairfax District, Los Angeles, California, USA
Los Angeles Farmers Market and The Grove are located next to each other in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles.
Famous for it's high quality food produce, the Farmers Market attracts thousands of people every day and is a great place to hang out with a cup of coffee.
Magee's Deli is my favourite place to eat. Here, they make superb salt beef, Roast Beef and Turkey sandwiches, which are relatively inexpensive and are full of flavour.
Next to the Farmers Market, you can find The Grove. The Grove is anchored by both Nordstrom and Crate & Barrel, as well as flagship locations for Abercrombie and Fitch, Barnes and Noble, and Apple.
Other stores in the centre include Banana Republic, Michael Kors, two level GAP and J.Crew locations, Nike, Bath and Body Works, MAC Cosmetics, COACH, Victoria's Secret, Anthropologie, Barneys New York CO-OP, ZARA, Kiehl's, and American Girl Place.
The Grove's many restaurants include chains like Maggiano's Little Italy and The Cheesecake Factory as well as smaller, local restaurants like Wood Ranch BBQ and Grill, Morels French Steakhouse, The Whisper Lounge, The Farm of Beverly Hills, and La Piazza.
The main entertainment venue is a 14-screen movie theater complex owned by Pacific Theatres.
During the wintertime, fake snow falls periodically during the night. In mid-November, the Grove Christmas Tree goes up. At 110 feet, it is the tallest Christmas tree in the city of Los Angeles.
