Hoi An Street Food Tour, Vietnam
I love pretty much everything about Vietnam, and the food is certainly at the top of the list. We started the day off by touring a local wet market in Hoi An, before sampling foods at local street vendors and shops. We were given an explanation of each food which provided an in depth look at vietnamese history, culture, and cuisine.. and how they are all linked together. Banh Mi, Pho, Com Ga, and Spring Rolls are all staples that most westerners know, but we had the opportunity to try many vietnamese foods that most tourists don't taste, and they were all delicious! I highly reccomend Original Taste of Hoi An as a must do tour if you are visiting central Vietnam. Food Trip Friday will resume back in the Philippines next week
Morning Glory - Restaurant Hoi An
Morning Glory
Authentic Central Coast Cuisine
Established in 2006, Morning Glory Original was Ms Vy’s third Restaurant in Hoi An. Following the success of Mermaid and Cargo Club, Ms Vy wanted to create a venue where visitors could not only enjoy a gourmet Vietnamese dining experience, but could also see local Hoi An food specialities made first-hand in the open kitchen. The menu features many of her favourite Central Vietnamese dishes, and while some are regarded as street food, they have been elevated to suit a more refined dining experience. Added to this are many of the more popular dishes from the North and South, all authentically recreated using the freshest and most delicious produces from the local markets.
The concept at Morning Glory Restaurant is to offer our guests the opportunity to experience traditional Vietnamese dining culture. The atmosphere at Morning is typical of Vietnamese restaurants - the vibrant hustle and bustle adding to the whole dining experience. Even the name ‘Morning Glory’ comes from the most common and popular vegetable side dish served with almost every Vietnamese family meal - a dish enjoyed by city slickers and country bumpkins alike.
Morning Glory Restaurant has become the ‘not-to-be-missed’ dining experience for most visitors to Hoi An and to avoid disappointment, we recommend booking in advance.
Cruising the coast from Hue to Hoi An || WO2W cycling in Vietnam (Part One) (EP.16)
Hi! We're Holly & Conrad
We are currently on a bicycle tour around the world. Our trip started in April 2017 and we have been cycling east ever since. We crossed the to the Pamir Highway in August and are currently in SE Asia. After completing this section of the trip we fly to Australia & NZ and finally the Americas. In these videos, we hope to show you what our life is like on the road.
In this episode we enter country number 19... Vietnam! With the prospect of trading the hills for the beach we rode through the rain on day one and the wind on day two. We first reached the city of Dong Ha near the DMZ before hugging the coast and heading south to enjoy Hue and Hoi An.
Both Hue & Hoi An gave us a chance to dump the bikes and embrace our inner tourist. Hoi An especially was great place visit, there maybe crowds galore but it is still a truly beautiful place.
As ever, please don't hesitate to ask any questions and please leave comments below - we really love reading them!

Morning Glory Two - Restaurant Hoi An
Morning Glory Two
Authentic Central Coast Cuisine
As Morning Glory Original became ever more popular and was fully booked most nights, Ms Vy opened a second, smaller venue just opposite Morning Glory Original on Nguyen Thai Hoc St. In a single story building, backing onto the picturesque Thu Bon River, Morning Glory Two offers the same great menu as Morning Glory Original but in a more intimate environment.
VIETNAMESE STREET FOOD in Hoi An 2015.
Hoi An is known for many things. I like Hoi An because it offers some scrumptious Vietnamese food street eats for cheap. In this video I sample fried bananas and sweet potatoes, banh tieu with coconut, and grilled corn with pork fat and green onions, grilled beat up chicken eggs with seasoning, and of course my all time favorite, balut eggs.
Btw, you can find the lady sitting near the well on a nightly basis in the Old Town near the Hoi An Market. Just be on the look out.
Everything was also quite cheap at around 15,000 to 20,000 a piece.

Spring rolls hoi an - Vietnam tour & travel
Vietnam food - Vietnam tour & travel
A highlight of any trip to Vietnam, Hoi An is a town oozing charm and history, having largely escaped the destruction of successive wars. Once a sleepy riverside village, it's now quite definitely a tourist town -- with hotels, restaurants, bars, tailors and souvenir shops dominating the old centre. Despite this air of irreality, Hoi An's charisma pervades.
