But wait a minute.. isn’t Vegas the city that never sleeps?
When I say we have to get out, I mean... let’s start exploring our hotel! Because one afternoon is not enough for more places. The Venetian Hotel is huge and what you are seeing here is only one level. Yes, it has indoor canals and yes, the gondolas take people around the hotel. Isn’t this just insane?
But if you're going to Vegas you should be going to at least one show. We’ve been to Cirque Du Soleil and it was so overwhelming!
First night: Mystère at The Treasure Island Hotel and Casino! Mystere is classic Cirque du Soleil, combining the powerful athleticism, high-energy acrobatics and inspiring imagery that has become the company's hallmark. Mystère is one of seven resident Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show was first performed on 25 December 1993 making it the company's longest running show.
New day, new destination! Because when the night comes, the Fabulous Vegas has many more activities to offer, we’ve decided to spend the day marveling at this engineering miracle called Hoover Dam. The Hoover Dam is only a short 30-minute drive from Vegas, which makes it the perfect half-day getaway from the bustle of the Strip. Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona.
Do you know what else Vegas is? Is the city of lights and the land of temptation. All this advertising on the Strip makes you wanna enter everywhere! That’s how we ended up at another Cirque du Soleil Show!
Second night: KA at MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. KA by Cirque du Soleil is the greatest theater production the world has ever seen. The scenography and the live music were just outstanding! We are already planning to go to their annual shows in London as well! KÀ: The glory of battle, the rush of victory!
For more hotels and Vegas adventures, keep watching the next part!
And we are curious, can you guess where will we be going next?

Mirage Vulcano Show, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, North America
The Mirage is a 3,044 room Polynesian-themed hotel and casino resort located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, United States. The resort was built by developer Steve Wynn and is currently owned and operated by MGM Resorts International. The original marquee sign in front of the Mirage is the largest free standing marquee in the world. The resort is connected by a free tram to the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino neighboring the hotel's property to the north. The Mirage was built by developer Steve Wynn and designed by Joel Bergman. It opened on November 22, 1989 and was the first resort that was built with the money of Wall Street through the use of junk bonds. It was built on the site formerly occupied by the Castaways and prior to that, the Red Rooster Nite Club. In 1980, Steve Wynn, a family friend, asked Roger Thomas to join a team designing the first major ground-up resort in Las Vegas in 25 years, a hotel and casino more sophisticated than others in the city. This would become The Mirage resort and hotel, which opened in 1989. The Mirage was the most expensive hotel-casino in history, with a construction cost of US $630 million. The hotel's distinctive gold windows get their color from actual gold dust used in the tinting process. Its construction is also considered noteworthy in that Wynn had set a new standard for Vegas resorts, and is widely considered to be the father of today's Las Vegas. Prior to The Mirage's opening, the city was experiencing a decline in tourism that began in the 1970s, especially around the time that the state of New Jersey legalized gambling and tourists (in particular those on the East Coast) began to frequent the casinos of Atlantic City. Also, this was a time when Las Vegas was no longer considered a fashionable destination, so a new, high-profile, project was necessary to jump-start the ailing industry. When it opened, The Mirage was the first casino to use security cameras full-time on all table games. From 1990 through 2003, The Mirage was the venue for the Siegfried & Roy show. The two headliners combined magic and the use of wild animals. The show closed in 2003 after performer Roy Horn was bitten and injured by one of the white tigers used in the show. In 1993, The Mirage hosted an extended run of the Cirque du Soleil show Nouvelle Expérience in a tent in The Mirage parking lot. It was during this time that Steve Wynn decided to invite Cirque to create Mystère for the soon-to-be-built Treasure Island resort next door. Finally returning to where they began in Las Vegas, Cirque du Soleil has a permanent production at The Mirage, LOVE. In 2004, Danny Gans took over the marquee becoming the resort's main entertainment attraction. In December 2006, the Beatles-themed REVOLUTION ultra-lounge opened. It was the first time Cirque du Soleil was involved in the development of a nightlife venue, operated by The Light Group. Gans left The Mirage in February 2009 to star in a show at the Encore Las Vegas. In 2009, ventriloquist and 2007 America's Got Talent winner Terry Fator began a 5-year run at the hotel. Also in 2009, The Mirage was featured on The Amazing Race 15, where one team member had to bungee the other into the air to grab a bouquet of flowers presented in the Love theater. In November 2012 The Mirage casino became the first Las Vegas casino to offer Geoff Hall's Blackjack variant Free Bet Blackjack. In 2014, The Mirage was featured in The Amazing Race 24, where teams had to replace the lightbulbs in the letter 'I' in 'Mirage'.
VENETIAN LAS VEGAS - VENICE ERSATZ
Las Vegas has many spectacular hotel casino resorts and it is difficulty to pick and chose. If I had to and I threw caution to the wind I would have to pick THE VENETIAN HOTEL CASINO as my personal favorite. There I have said it I have gotten it off my chest now let's back it up. That brings me to Venice, Italy regarded by many as the most unique destination in Europe and I would be among those. There is only one Venice with its incredible history that left its traces all over the present day city in a most unique manner. THE VENETIAN in Las Vegas in an ERSATZ manner tries to capture many of the aspects of this historic city on the Adriatic. In many aspects it has been a success to make a visit to THE VENETIAN an awesome experience.

Halo - Water Vortices in The Shops at Crystals - CityCenter in Las Vegas
Mark Fuller, chief excellence officer of Southern California-based WET, designed the fountains of Bellagio, which debuted in 1998, and renovated the Mirage volcano. In 2009, Fuller and his team of Water Entertainment Technology designers have brought five water features to CityCenter, MGM Mirage’s $8.5 billion development.
Halo is a WET-designed attraction that invites pedestrians to walk among 50 columns of swirling water encapsulated in clear cylinders. It is located in The Shops at Crystals, CityCenter's retail complex.
High-power motors spin the water into vortices, producing a mesmerizing tornado effect. Colored lighting beneath the feature turns the water various shades of blue, green, red and gold.
The cylinders are of various heights and some are sloped. Because the water vortices naturally move to achieve verticality, the sloped enclosures produce unusual twisting patterns.
Twenty of the cylinders are above ground, but 30 are below floor level, giving pedestrians the opportunity to peer down into each vortex. Because the feature is programmed with changing water levels and the motors switch directions, the patterns are constantly in motion.
