⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ Walking NYC : Richmond Hill, Queens (Forest Park Gate, 111th St, Jamaica Ave) [VIDEO IMPERFECT]
Google Maps Route:
A walk in the neighborhood of Richmond Hill, Queens from the Forest Park Gate, down 111th Street, and along Jamaica Avenue to 96th Street. Apologies for the video quality after 15:48 or so. My camera had some technical difficulties and didn't even record the entire route I wanted (I walked all the way to Cypress Hills, Brooklyn).
From Wikipedia:
Richmond Hill is a commercial and residential neighborhood located in the southwestern section of the borough of Queens, in New York City, New York, United States. The neighborhood is split between Queens Community Board 9 and 10. The area borders Kew Gardens and Forest Park to the north, Jamaica and South Jamaica to the east, South Ozone Park to the south, and Woodhaven and Ozone Park to the west.
Richmond Hill is known as Little Guyana-Trinidad and Tobago, for its large Indo-Guyanese, Indo-Trinidadian and Tobagonian, and Indo-Caribbean immigrant population, as well as Little Punjab, for its large Punjabi immigrant population. Richmond Hill is home to a density of Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Christian, Sikh, Hindu, Jewish, and Muslim places of worship.
Main commercial streets in the neighborhood include Jamaica Avenue, Atlantic Avenue and Liberty Avenue. The portion of the neighborhood south of Atlantic Avenue is also known as South Richmond Hill. The Long Island Rail Road provides freight access via the Montauk Branch, which runs diagonally through the neighborhood from northwest to southeast. The ZIP codes are 11418 for the main portion of Richmond Hill and 11419 for South Richmond Hill. Many residents own homes, though some also rent within small apartment buildings.

City Walk: Episode 7 (Full Episode)
Episode 7 of City Walk travels from Boston to New York to Atlanta and Los Angeles on a very special journey to some of the great parks in America -- both old and new.
We meet legendary landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted whose visionary 19th century genius continues to reshape the city of Boston along with virtually every urban park in the country. We highlight the amazing walkability of Olmsted's first creation Central Park in New York -- then take a walking tour of Manhattan's neighborhood parks including a visit to a vibrant public space where we're surprised to find out that not every park is green.
We visit the still in development Los Angeles State Park, currently the home of fairs and gatherings: including FYF Fest, where more than 30,000 people take public transportation to hear 57 bands play on 4 stages in two days!
Once upon a time Atlanta was one of the least walkable cities in the United States, today it's ahead of the curve with construction of the BeltLine, a 22-mile pedestrian friendly corridor. We explore this unique combination of rails, trails and green space through the joyful eyes of the happiest freight train conductor in Georgia.
Our journey concludes with a stroll on The Highline, an elevated, linear park renovated from an abandoned train line and now one of the most popular attractions in New York for tourists and locals alike.

Fake History - Photoshopped California State Capitol Construction
Ever feel like the history you’ve been told is other than the truth?
That feeling is what I was following when I dove headfirst down the rabbit hole of the history of California’s state Capitol building.
Taking a few tours of the interior, I was awestruck by the architectural design of a building that was supposedly built in the late 1800s.
Even more interesting were the little ‘touches’ added to the decor that pointed to the possibility of the building being usurped, found and assumed ownership of, by the same secret society responsible for most of the fake history that researchers are uncovering around the world today.
The buildings history is much older than the California Government would EVER want you to know. Since revealing the truth about that would require the truth to be revealed about those that were here before us, something I’m pretty sure they never plan to share with us, we are probably on our own if we hope to uncover the truth

Join us on our 9-day American Civil War Tour to some of the major battlefields of the War Between the States, including an unforgettable re-enactment of events. Leading up to the surrender at Appomattox we explore the area known as “the crossroads of conflict,” from the site of the bloodiest single-day battle at Antietam, through the turning of the conflict at Gettysburg to the longest siege in American warfare at Petersburg. We visit both capitals of the period, Richmond and Washington, DC, and finish by paying our respects at Arlington National Cemetery.

McDonald's Canada (French: Les Restaurants McDonald du Canada Ltée) is the Canadian master franchise of the fast-food restaurant chain McDonald's, owned by the American parent McDonald's Corporation. One of Canada's largest fast-food restaurant chains, the franchise sells food items, including hamburgers, chicken, French fries and soft drinks all across the country. McDonald's is known for its high fat and calorie foods, but it also has alternatives such as salads, juices and milk. McDonald's was previously Canada's largest food service operator before being overtaken by Tim Hortons in 2005. The slogans used in Canada are i'm lovin' it (in English) and c'est ça que j'm (in French).
McDonald's Canadian operations are based in Don Mills, Ontario, in North York. The current McDonald's Canada President is John Betts.
History
The company was founded by Chicago-born George Cohon. The first store opened in 1967 as the Western Canadian franchisee and operated with the U.S. operations. Cohon was the Eastern Canadian franchise and opened his store in 1968. In 1971, Cohon merged the two operations to one national operation. Cohon was responsible for developing the eastern Canadian franchises. The first McDonald's restaurant in Canada was opened in 1967 in Richmond, British Columbia, by western franchise owners. It was also the first McDonald's restaurant outside of the United States. As of 2014, McDonald's Canada had 1,400 stores (including Walmart Canada locations) in Canada, and more than 85,000 Canadian employees.
There are McDonald's restaurants in all of the provinces and territories with the exception of Nunavut. The flagship location opened in 2013 near the Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto.

ABOUT IOWA 80
A place where people want to stop. On the eastern edge of Iowa, not far from the Mississippi River, adjacent to the small town of Walcott, you’ll find a place like no other in the world. The Iowa 80 Truckstop, now the World’s Largest Truckstop, established its home here in 1964 and is now in itself a home away from home to countless drivers and a destination for travelers as well. Some say Iowa 80 Truckstop is like a small city, others have likened it to a Trucker’s Disneyland, all can agree it is a place not to be missed.
Iowa 80 Trucking Museum:
The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum was a dream of Iowa 80 Truckstop founder, Bill Moon. Bill had a passion for collecting antique trucks and other trucking memorabilia. We are pleased to be able to share this collection with the general public. Every truck has a story to tell and can provide a unique glimpse back in time. Many rare and one-of-a-kind trucks are on display. View short films about trucking history in our REO theater; a great way to learn even more about the trucks of yesteryear. Come and visit us, we'd love to have you.
