Lip-Licking Royal Thai Food at Bangkok's Krua OV (ครัว OV)
For delicious royal Thai food and marvelous curries go to Krua OV (ครัว OV). Get all the information here -
Khao gaeng is a Thai term that means rice and curry. Normally the dishes are prepared and waiting to be ordered as soon as you arrive at the restaurant. It's an everyday food in Thailand and you'll find khao gaeng stalls throughout the country and all over Bangkok. But there's one restaurant known as Krua OV (ครัว OV) that's located within the lush Dusit government district of Bangkok, and they serve not only curries, but a selection of amazing royal Thai food as well. The chefs of the restaurant have long routes of royal cooking in the royal courts of Thailand. That being said, I can tell you for sure, you're in good hands when you eat at Krua OV (ครัว OV).
As many Thai food connoisseurs say, Khao Chae (ข้าวแช่) is one of the best and most important examples of royal Thai food cooking - and they happen to be very famous throughout Bangkok for it. So that's exactly what I started out with, not wanting to miss it. The platter came neatly decorated with a full plate of mixed goodies included fried pork, sweet pork, and a chili stuffed with pork and deep fried in an egg net. Along with the deep fried selection of fragrant tidbits, Khao Chae (ข้าวแช่) would not be complete without the essential jasmine rice in a pool of ice water. Yes, it's a bizarre combination, but after you try them ingredients and jasmine rice water together, you'll realize just how refreshing it is. When it comes to royal Thai food cuisine, you should try Khao Chae (ข้าวแช่).
Along with Khao Chae (ข้าวแช่) we ordered Gaeng Garee Gai (แกงกะหรี่ไก่) which is chicken curry simmered in spices and coconut milk. It's similar to the famous massaman curry, but I prefer this version as it's a little less sweet and a little more flavor. With some rice, it was fabulous. Then came Pla Duk Foo Pad Prik King (ปลาดุกฟูผัดพริกขิง), a deep fried fluff of catfish that was super flavorful and topped with fried basil leaves. It was crispy and offered a ton of flavor and texture with a good kick of ginger. Then came Kai Paloe (ไข่พะโล้), which is a Chinese inspired Thai dish that consists of thick chunks of pork belly simmers for a long time in Chinese five spice and combined with eggs. It's a little sweet, and kind of a comfort dish rather than a royal Thai food. A few plates of rice and I was a very happy diner at Krua OV (ครัว OV). While not all the dishes at the restaurant are royal Thai food, they do have a few dishes that are authentic and royal, and other that are occasionally cooked and perfected in the royal Thai courts. This restaurant is peaceful, unique, and the food is fantastic!

Finger Dining & Royal Thai Cuisine in Bangkok - Ruen Mallika
In this video I visit a friend's restaurant, and a very unique dining experience in Bangkok! Ruen Mallika, located in Sukhumvit Soi 22, is a Thai restaurant that serves royal Thai cuisine with elaborately decorated food fit for royals! What's more is you can even rent a Thai outfit and order from the finger dining menu to get the full experience. The building is actually an old traditional Thai wooden house that is over 200 years old!
This isn't some gimmicky, touristy stuff though. The food is legitimately delicious and well executed. This restaurant is recommended by the Michelin Guide, and its sister restaurant (the regular, non-royal version of this place) has been my family's regular place for years. The price is reasonable, it's not cheap but definitely not super expensive, about standard for this class of restaurant in Bangkok. The portion sizes are generous (which is not the case for many BBK restaurants) so I think it's a good deal.

#YTFoodWalker #indianfood #bangkok
A first person perspective of the Royal India Restaurant in the Siam Paragon Food court. Authentic Indian cookery outside of India, serving authentic North Indian dishes - it does not come any more authentic! The paneer and chicken dishes were excellent, and the chef making the delicious naan bread was both amazing and mesmerising, as well as delicious. If you are looking for an alternative to Thai cuisine or missing your Indian food, then this restaurant is a must.

After Or Tor Kor market, Thewet is good market to visit. It’s not too big or overwhelming and a more accurate depiction of what to expect from a traditional style Thai market. There’s also a ton of food around! I’ve prepared a blog on some of the options for you to taste in the area, and my top choice Krua Apsorn restaurant about 10 minutes from Thewet.
Correction: The juice that I had is actually palm sugar juice (น้ำตาลสด) and not sugar cane juice.

PANYA SEAFOOD BEER HIMA (ปัญญาซีฟู้ด เบียร์หิมะ - When it comes to Southern Thai food, seafood, and spicy Thai food in Bangkok, Panya Seafood Beer Hima (ปัญญาซีฟู้ด เบียร์หิมะ) is as good as it gets. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok, and one you shouldn’t miss if you love Thai food, especially spicy Thai curry.
Here are the main Southern Thai food dishes we ordered:
Lek krut leaves (ใบเล็บครุฑ)
Salted fried fish (ปลากุเลาเค็มทอด)
Sour curry, coconut shoots (แกงส้มยอดมะพร้าว)
Fish entrails curry (แกงไตปลา)
Fried shrimp, lek krut leaves (กุ้งทอดใบเล็บครุฑ)
Beef ribs chili curry (แกงพริกซี่โครงเนื้อ)
Mantis shrimp (กั้งทอดกระเทียม)
Fried sillago turmeric (ปลาเห็ดโคนทอดขมิ้น)
Shrimp, stink beans (กุ้งผัดสะตอ)
Coconut shell curry (แกงกะลามะพร้าวไก่)
Shrimp chili dip (น้ำพริกกุ้งเสียบ)
Beer Snow (เบียร์หิมะ) - Finally there’s Beer Hima (เบียร์หิมะ) which translates directly to Beer Snow in Thai, because it really is snowy beer. They have figured out the exact temperature to freeze their beer so it pours out of the bottle easily but immediately turns to a beer slush. Then a natural ice cube forms in your cup. It’s the perfect drink to wash down some of the spiciest Thai curry in Bangkok!
Price - About 500 THB ($16.24) per person

Paste Modern Thai Food - One of The Best Restaurants in Bangkok
Paste is one of the best restaurants in Bangkok that specializes in extremely high quality modern Thai food. Get all the details here -
There are many amazing restaurants in Bangkok serving everything from international cuisine to Thai food in a variety of different forms and scales. The chefs at Paste Bangkok emphasize that they don't serve fusion food - which is a combination of different cuisines merged together - but instead they focus on modern Thai food, innovation and progressive Thai cuisine. In other words, most of the ingredients are locally sourced and the recipes, though creative, are all within the traditional spectrum of Thai ingredients and flavor combination. Modern Thai food is the next step in Thai cuisine, new and modern techniques combined with traditional recipes, all within the same genre of Thai food. And as one of the best restaurants in Bangkok serving upscale Thai food, Paste uses extremely high quality ingredients and precise cooking techniques to produce a truly mouthwatering menu of flavorsome Thai dishes.
It was my privilege in this Thai food video to visit one of the best restaurants in Bangkok for a sample of modern Thai food at its finest. I first begin sampling a dish they call the ultimate-twice cooked-caramelised-pork leg with pickled bamboo shoot, pickled mustard and coriander (สุดยอดขาหมูเสริฟ์กับหน่อไม้ดอง, ผักกาดดองและผักชี). The pork leg was marinated before being flash deep fried to make it crispy on the edged. It was then arranged onto a serving plate along with pickled bamboo shoots, a caramel glaze, and sprinkled with shaved chilies and cilantro leaves. My first bite was pure heaven as the chunk of pork leg literally melted into my mouth, the fat and meat both falling apart as I chewed. The caramel contrasted the chilies and and complemented the tender pork. It was outstanding. Next up I sampled the mangosteen salad with pan seared scallop and roasted chilli jam (ยำมังคุดกับหอยเชลล์), which is a good example of a modern Thai food dish at Paste. Mangosteen is a common Thai fruit, yet it's rarely seen in a dish, so at Paste they've taken Thai ingredients and come up with creative local recipes. Along with pan seared scallops, kernels of mangosteen were combined with lemongrass and mint leaves and dressed in a chili jam which was similar to Thai prik pao roasted chili sauce. To top off the towing dish was a sprinkle of finely sliced Siam tulips. Again, this was an incredible tasting dish with a complexity of delicious flavors combined. Lastly we enjoyed a crispy skin free range duck (เป็ดมะแขว่นเสิร์ฟกับซอสส้มและโป๊ยกั๊ก) which was drizzled with fresh orange and star anise sauce. First steamed to get the juices flowing, it was then deep fried to give it a crunch. The northern Thai pepper, in the same family as the famous Sichuan pepper, was rubbed over to skin to make it extremely fragrant. All the dishes I've eaten at Paste Bangkok have been superb.
Paste is truly one of the best restaurants in Bangkok that serves upscale elegant, and true to flavor Thai food. The chefs at Paste are doing an excellent job of pushing Thai food to new levels and progressing it into a new and modern form.

Sukhawadee House- The Royal Lunch in Pattaya | Bangkok #Thailand #echosmart
“Power of thought is the key to success. It can bring you your most desirable dream if you can bring the thoughts into action.”
Dr. Panya Choititawan
“Baan Sukhawadee is open to all with the intention to give visitors a feeling of being a joint owner, to discover the Truth of Living, and finally worship our several holy images such as the Lord Buddha at birth Image, the Goddess of Mercy, King Taksin the Great, King Chulalongkorn the Great, Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak, the father of Royal Thai Navy. Every object in this house is placed to provide a balance between art and science, and with the power of affection and generosity of the owner who never gives up nor surrenders to poverty as a limitation of life’s targets. All these objects can either be a motivation or be the beginning of the inspiration that lead you to achieve your goals”.
Sukhawadee means pureness-happiness-wealthness. All the main buildings are in both pink and blue. Pink stands for love and use cupid as a symbol. The ancient used to say “Without love, you will never succeed”. We need to be able to love and be loved and be unified with the group. To be able to discuss and to solve the problems to reach the goal. Blue stands for water. Water is the beginning of many lives. It can adjust its shape with any surrounding. If we can adjust ourselves with all the changes occurring in the world, we will be able to live happily in this society.
Baan Sukhawadee was built in the year 2000 on 11 rais of land. The house is located on Sukhumvit Road and is 400 meter long and adjacent to the sea front. Now the area has been extended to cover more than 80 rais. The house is built in peaceful area surrounded with various botanical plants and great view combined with many stunning buildings and and several holy images for worship such as the Lord Buddha at birth Image, the Goddess of Mercy, King Taksin the Great, King Chulalongkorn the Great, Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak, the father of Royal Thai Navy, etc.
Baan Sukhawadee was created with intelligence and teamwork that was based on the fundamentals of love and harmony. The result of this effort was the creation of works that are very valuable, dignified, and all are of equal importance. These works include several distinguished architectural buildings as follows:
1.อาคารพระแม่กวนอิม (Main building & Goddess of Mercy)
2.อาคารโดมพระ (Buddha tower)
3.ศาลหลักเมือง (Sukhawadee's Pillar Shrine)
4.ความลับสวรรค์ (Yin – Yang Zone)
5.อาคารพุทธบารมี (Buddhabaramee/Convention Hall) / เวที่เฉลิมพระเกียรติ (Royal Chalermprakiet stage)
6.โดมละหมาด (Salah Dome ) / อาคารไอริสโซเฟีย (Airis Sophia's souvenir shop )
