Dodds Diaries Episode 54B - Holiday in Wales Part 2/5

Part 2 of my holiday in Wales.

In this part I go to West Wales area. I start in Cardiff Central and travel to the seaside resort of Tenby in Pembrokeshire. I get there by getting 3 trains. An HST from Cardiff to Swansea, class 175 from Swansea to Carmarthen then a class 150 from Carmarthen to Tenby and the journey took 2 hours and 50 minutes in total not including the few minutes connection times I had between each train.

Tenby was a lovely seaside town and I was glad I went. I went because one of my friends loves the place and wanted me to go so I said I would do that. After Tenby I came back up to Carmarthen on the river Towy and stopped by for a look around then went along the line to Swansea.

Swansea was a nice place and I liked Swansea bay. After that did some spotting in the station. Just before I left I got the GWR HST class 43 in its original British Rail Intercity 125 70s livery. It was painted in this to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the HST.

To finish got a class 150/153 combo back to Cardiff Central and finished the diary in my hotel.
