Copan Ruinas, Honduras, The Tea & Chocolate Place
The Tea & Chocolate Place is located in a peaceful, garden-like setting on the outskirts of Copán Ruinas (walk or take a TucTuc ride from the village center), where you can enjoy a healthful tea or chocolate beverage (along with a traditional local snack) while watching the sun go down. The Tea & Chocolate Place is not a traditional coffee shop nor restaurant but a Visitor Center / state-of-the art showcase for natural herbal products made only from plants grown at the nearby Copán 2012 Experimental Botanical Research Station. From a breezy open veranda you will appreciate up close the dire situation that faces the entire Maya World—erosion and land degradation, along with the innovative methods that are being used to regenerate the landscape and help mitigate poverty and nutritional issues in the area..
The Tea & Chocolate Place is a unique experience encouraging a positive, healthy outlook for all who come to Copan-a bridge between the ancient past and a better future.
We offer fresh, high quality, innovative teas and other products, 100% organic and sustainably grown at the Copán 2012 Experimental Botanical Station.

Copan Ruinas Honduras 2014
Our first stop during our ten day Central American trip was Honduras. Flew in on Spirit and arrived around 1am, made it thru customs by 230am and hung out at the airport until the sun came up. Took a $20 taxi to the bus station and then a 3 hour $17 not so fancy bus to Copan. We were tired that first day but managed to check in, have lunch and see the ruins.

Copan Ruinas Honduras // Mayan Ruins Private Tour
Copan Ruinas Honduras has amazing Mayan Ruins and is a World Heritage Site. They have some incredibly preserved temples, ball courts, tunnels and much more! This was a day spent exploring the site there, and I was given a private tour from an awesome guide named Cesar Flores.
He guided me through the entire site and explained the purpose for each building in this ancient Mayan city; along with the culture and their history there. I wish I could have put it all into this video, but to keep it time efficient, this is what it came to. I really recommend traveling to Copan Ruinas and visiting this Mayan World Heritage site. Words can’t express how special and amazing this area truly is!
Also, a BIG thank you to the staff at the Copan Ruinas Archeology Park for allowing me to fly my drone there, and for the amazing hospitality they showed me! Thank You for making this video possible, you guys rock! (no pun intended)
