The Tower of the Sun (太陽の塔 Taiyō no Tō) is a building created by Japanese artist Tarō Okamoto. It was known as the symbol of Expo '70 and currently is preserved and located in the Expo Commemoration Park in Suita, Osaka, Japan. The tower has three faces on its front and back.
Suita (吹田市 Suita-shi) is a city located in northern Osaka Prefecture, Japan.
As of October 1, 2016, the city has an estimated population of 378,322 and a population density of 9,880 persons per km². The total area is 36.11 km².
The city was founded on April 1, 1940, and was the site of Expo '70, a World's Fair held in 1970. The J-League soccer club Gamba Osaka plays at Suita City Football Stadium.
It is connected to central by Hankyu Railway, West Japan Railway Company and the Osaka Municipal Subway. The Osaka Monorail also passes through the area, connecting the city to Osaka, the Expo Commemoration Park and Osaka International Airport.

Tower of the Sun / Monorail
This is a short video of the local Monorail in the Osaka area of Japan. The video shows the Monorail itself and views of the local area that the Monorail passes over. If you have never been to Japan or are interested in Japan this video will show you how densely populated Japan is, but also how cool and convenient the transportation can be. I prefer taking the Monorail over the local train systems here, but unfortunately the Monorail is more expensive.
If you plan to fly to or from Itami Airport in Osaka this Monorail system starts right at the Airport itself. It's extremely easy to use. While it won't take you all the way through to the center of Osaka city it will take you to a few train stations where you can easily transfer and continue on.
Also in this video the Monorail passes by Banpaku Park, which is located in Suita - Osaka, Japan. Banpaku Park is famous because it was the site where Expo Osaka was held in 1970. The tall statue or monument is called Tower of the Sun, created by famous Japanese artist: Taro Okomoto.

万博記念公園（大阪府吹田市）で、太陽の塔をスクリーンに３Ｄプロジェクションマッピングを投影するイベントが始まった。
約８分間の映像は、塔の制作者の故・岡本太郎氏が見ている「夢」がテーマ。来年３月から塔内が一般公開されるとあって、塔内にあるオブジェ「生命の樹（き）」の映像などが音楽に合わせ、次々と映し出された。
開催は、１２月２４日までの毎週金・土・日曜日と、２５日（月曜日）。午後５時３０分ごろから約１０分間隔で上映する。開催日は開園時間が午後９時まで延長される

Tower of the Sun Osaka 太陽の塔大阪 Documentary (with AMT Alien Hiroshi)
