Uwharrie Offroad 4x4 Trail Ride - West to East- Easy to Hard- Badin Lake
Uwharrie National Forest North Carolina has dedicated offroad OHV 4x4 trails. We began at Wolf Den Park and started with the easiest trails and moved to harder and hard sections as we headed east. This covered trails 89 to 79 to 93 to 92 to 390. 390 is the most difficult sections of the park. 390 also has ever increasing difficulty in obstacles. We had to stop before we reached the end due to time constraints, but will head back to push on farther in the future.
I hope this gives you some insight into what the trails were like. It was a really enjoyable drive.
In relatively dry conditions we used our Land Rover LR3 with original settings and stock tires on the trail in high gear.

A train ride through American history - New Orleans to New York | DW Documentary
From New Orleans to New York, a train ride aboard the Crescent takes you on an extraordinary journey through American history.
This train journey begins in the cradle of jazz - New Orleans. Three famous express trains start and terminate here: the City of New Orleans, the Sunset Limited and the Crescent, named after a New Orleans neighborhood. Every morning at 7 a.m. the Crescent sets off from New Orleans on its 1,377-mile journey from the Deep South to pulsating New York City.
The distance is covered in around 31 hours. The route takes in various famous cities on the journey northeast. Birmingham, Alabama is also known as Bombingham after the attacks launched there by the Ku Klux Klan during the civil rights movement era between 1947 and 1965. The train then heads to Atlanta, the largest city in Georgia. Charlotte in North Carolina was named nearly 250 years ago after Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, the German wife of Britain’s King George III. Our next stop is Washington D.C., capital of the United States since 1800. Beforehand that honor had gone to a city further north: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where the Declaration of Independence was proclaimed in 1776. The final stop on this unique train journey is New York City aka the Big Apple.

McHale's Irish Pub Rock Hill, SC | Southern Food Junkie
McHale's Irish Pub in Rock Hill, SC is serving up more than just a good time. As you may know, I don't drink, but I do love to eat. I have visited this place many times especially when I used to work close by. Mainly on my lunch breaks from lunch, but occasionally to eat dinner. On this occasion, I was on an early dinner break to beat the crowds and it sure was worth it. The food has always been great here. Watch to see out experience.

Products I use and Love:
Johnny Apple Peeler by Victorio We have used this tool extensively in our kitchen. From peeling apples for the kids or potatoes to making curly fries. When the twins were born, we used this to peel 5 bushes of pears to make homemade baby food.
D’Vash Date Nectar Use coupon code DVASHSOUTHERNFOODJUNKIE to receive 15% off your entire purchase. This is awesome stuff. Can use as a honey or sugar sub. Reminds me a little of molasses. I use on chicken, in homemade ice cream, and to drizzle on salad.
The Great Scrape Ultimate BBQ Tool If you love grilling out, this tool is awesome. We did a review on this tool and I simply love it. I would not risk my family's safety from the wire bristle brushes no more.
Ninja 4 in 1 cook system We love this unit. I have a video where I cook chicken noodle soup in the one that I have. I love the feature where you set a cook time and it finishes and turns on to warm. You can also brown meat in this or bake in it.
Cajun Injector Batter Pro I have had one of these for awhile now. I actually got it for a present for Christmas one year. I love this thing. If you deep fry chicken, fish, or vegetables that need to be breaded, this thing is the ticket.
Kitchenaid Blender I debated for a while between this unit and the more expensive Vitamix blenders. Although I have never used a Vitamix, this one has been very solid for me. I use it to blend soups a good bit. Especially when I make potato soup. Never had an issue with it.
Ninja Blender This was another item that I did a lot of research on. I was trying to decide between the Magic Bullet and this. I ended up going with this and to this day, I am still very satisfied with my purchase. It blends really great. Does what I need it to do. Great for smoothies where you don’t have to drag the blender out and can drink out of the same cup.

00:46 Not only did I vlog while drunk-longboarding, I did like six takes on my ride home. Don't be like me, be safe!
01:40 It was harvest day at my in-law's farm, because a frost was coming on. Isn't it weird I get to say things like that in 2013? Anyway everybody else worked and I chopped up old vegetables with a machete for hours.
03:24 THIS REALLY HAPPENED.
03:40 So here's how the accident went down. We were just cruising along on I-90, and the subaru is on the exit ramp. The driver of the Subaru suddenly realizes they don't want to take the exit, and swerves back across the solid lines onto the highway in front of us. My wife hits the breaks, everybody around us hits the breaks, we go into bullet time for what feels like 4 or 5 seconds, and then boom. You'll see that the impact is on our passenger side and her driver side, meaning that she was still kinda diagonal. So it's lucky she didn't go spinning into traffic.
04:24 Multiple complications happened immediately. It was a Saturday so we could only get call center employees over the phone when we called our insurance company. The other driver was in hysterics and told the cop we came out of nowhere. None of the other cars in our immediate vicinity stopped to testify to the cop. So it was initially declared no fault meaning that we were likely on the hook for all of our expenses. We didn't know what to do next, and so the officer called AAA for us and had our car towed to an impound lot. This turned out to be a completely useless move, because insurance assessors will only come out to body shops that work with their company. So our car sat there for three days racking up impound fees, and when the dust finally settled we just had to move it again. Those costs, plus the rental car we only barely found (again, almost everyone was closed because it was Saturday) was ultimately refunded, but at the time we assumed we were bleeding all of this money. Hence our reluctance to travel very far from Albany for the first five days of the trip. Lessons so far: don't get in a car accident on Saturday. If you see a car accident and can see who was at fault, stop there and talk to the police officer. Get AAA. And also, like, try to be familiar with autobody shops in every city in America. Oh, and have a credit card. We would have been fucked without a credit card.
06:03 (The Marriott family are Mormons and are close friends with the Romney family. I only know this because they both live in my hometown. So that might not have been clear.)
07:12 People in Cooperstown are really nice. The guy at the liquor store told us how to find that cool bridge.
11:00 Christy made multiple statements on the record to the other girl's insurance company, and amazingly, they seemed to believe us even though it would hurt them financially to do so. Also probably helping our case was that the girl who hit us went MIA after the accident--we are the ones who reported it to her insurance. Lessons here: State Farm is an honest insurance company. Thanks, State Farm!
11:34 The guy who ran the autobody shop we ended up looked like Chris Christie and talked like Hunter S. Thompson. I liked him.
12:08 Upstate NY and VT seem to have a lot of Lean-To campsites, which are AWESOME. Get a lean-to whenever you can!
12:55 This is the Southern Vermont Museum of Natural History, which is in a gift shop's basement.
13:30 I was disappointed in Brattleboro, but you know what is a super cool looking hipster town? North Adams, MA. We just drove through, but I was like, I could live here.
14:30 Later, the guy who owned the B&B we stayed at made essentially the same joke, but it was about the Indians being too gay. He had a lot of Bill O'Reilly books on his shelf but otherwise seemed like an OK guy. B&Bs are weird. The next morning we had breakfast with an old German couple in somebody's dining room.
16:15 You should definitely go to the Carousel museum despite all the There but for the grace of God go I vibes

Yurt-like Micro Cabin Studio Vacation in Portland, Oregon
~
I want to show you this yurt-like micro cabin studio that you can vacation in if you’re ever in the Portland, Oregon area.
Since it’s a standard studio there’s no bathroom or kitchen inside but you get to access a private bathroom in the main house on the property. Plus you can also use the kitchen in the main house but you have to share it with the owners (and it’s a vegan only kitchen).
More importantly I want to show you the private studio and how one might be able to use it as a tiny cabin with the possibility of adding a separate structure nearby with a kitchen, bathroom, and laundry if you had it on your own land. I hope you enjoy.
13 BIGGEST Houses
13 BIGGEST Houses
From mansions to palaces to crazy people who got money in ways we don't understand these are the 13 BIGGEST Houses.
Antilla is the name of a giant futuristic mansion in Mumbai, India and is the first billion dollar residential home to ever exist. It was commissioned by the world’s fifth richest man Mukesh Ambani, who is the owner of the biggest company in India, Reliance Industries. Mukesh’s 27 story mansion towers above the surrounding apartment high-rises and comes complete with a cinema complex, helipads, a health center, and hanging garden.
Hala Ranch is a 95 acre estate just north of Aspen, Colorado in the Rocky mountains. Hala Ranch originally belonged to a Saudi Prince named Bandar bin Sultan before it was purchased by an American hedge fund manager named John Paulson.10 years ago Hala Ranch was the most expensive estate ever listed in the U.S., priced at $135 million dollars in 2006. 135 million seems like a fair price for a 56,000 square foot area that trumps the White House in size.
50 Poplar Hill Drive, in Farmington Connecticut is the address of 50 Cent’s crazy crib. His
51, 567 square foot mansion comes complete with all the amenities any rapper could need: 21 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, an indoor pool, a gym, a basketball court, a green screen studio, a recording studio, and an underground disco room complete with stripper poles. This pimped out mansion is as lavish as they come but has unfortunately cost 50 cent more than a million and has spiraled him into bankruptcy.
The Manor, also known as the Spelling Manor named after its previous owners, now belongs to a British heiress named Petra Ecclestone. The Manor is a 56,500 square foot estate in the posh neighborhood of Holmby Hills, California. Previously the most expensive home in America priced at 125, million dollars, it was sold at the low low price of 85 million to the heiress.
The Hearst Estate is a huge property that spans several hundred acres and includes a huge ranch and a herd of zebras. The property is actually made up of one main house and several smaller guest houses. Casa Grande, the main house is 65,000 square feet, with the other houses amassing a total of more than 10,000 square feet. This huge house has seen many celebrity guests and has famously been used as a backdrop in the Godfather films. Although originally a residence for the Hearst family, it was registered as a California State Park in 1957 and has been open for tourists to visit since.
