Descendant of the Volcano Goddess: Hawaii Rooted
Keoni Kaholoaa is an Interpretative Ranger at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, whose connection with the park goes far beyond his day job.
Keoni recently learned that the origin of his last name means “flow of jagged rock,” making him a direct descendant of Pele. Pele is the Hawaiian deity associated with the volcano and holds a deep significance within the Hawaiian culture. For Keoni, his personal connection with Pele has fueled his sense of belonging and unity with nature. He believes when Pele creates new land, it allows native plants and birds to flourish – a message he shares with park visitors every day. As he leads them on hikes through the vast volcanic landscape and spreads knowledge of its native wildlife, he hopes to leave visitors with the same connection he feels to the earth and all its elements.
When you visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the island of Hawaii, you can take a tour with rangers (including Keoni) as you embark on your exploration of the park. Visitors are encouraged to embrace and respect the park the way traditional Hawaiians do.

HELICOPTER RETURN from HĀNA - [May 28, 2014]
ROAD TO HĀNA, Maui - Helicopter Return to Kahului Heliport [May 28, 2014]
[9-minute, 35-segment video compilation...]
Temptation Tours Sky-Trek to Hāna... Helicopter one way, and luxury van the other way.
The flight left Hāna Airport, flew up over the rim of Haleakala Volcano, around the southside of Maui, and over both Big and Little beaches in Makena.
We then circled back over the center of the Valley Island (and over Oprah Winfrey's private road) and landed at the Kahului Heliport, disembarking past the hangars at Blue Hawaiian Helicopters.
The highway is a 68-mile or 109-km stretch of Hawaii State Route 36 and 360. We drove from Lahaina to the Kahului heliport.
Hāna is 52 miles (84 km) from Kahului, but because there are 59 bridges, 46 of which are only one-lane wide, and there are approximately 620 curves, it takes about 2.5 hours to drive even if you don't make any stops.
We left Lahaina at 6:15 AM and arrived in Hāna at the Hāna heliport after lunch at 12:30 PM. The helicopter portion was about 40 minutes condensed into this nine-minute video.
Blue Hawaiian helicopters flew us back in an almost-new $3.5 million helicopter.
We were back in Kahului at the heliport by 1:30 PM.
Regarding the road, many of the concrete and steel bridges date back to 1910, but all but one are still in use. This road was designated as the Hana Millennium Legacy Trail by Pres. Bill Clinton in August 2000.

ABOUT THIS FEED:
Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada, in the Canadian Rockies, is located on the Canadian Pacific Railway (CP), where their Shuswap Sub meets their Mountain Sub. The Shuswap Sub runs to the west to Kamloops, BC (towards Vancouver, BC), and the Mountain Sub runs to the east to Field, BC, through Rogers Pass.
The CP traverses the Canadian Rockies over 2 passes. Rogers Pass, which is to the immediate east of Revelstoke, and further east, Kicking Horse Pass, which is to the immediate east of Field. Rogers Pass is at 4,360 feet (1,330 meters), and Kicking Horse Pass is at 5,339 feet (1,627 meters). To the west of Revelstoke is the lower Eagle Pass, at 1,804 feet (550 meters).
Among the freight trains seen here are unit potash, unit grain, and unit coal. Loaded westbounds feature both mid-train and end-of-train DPU’s, and empty eastbounds have fewer engines, both on front and as DPU’s. Many but not all eastbounds will stop to enter the yard, which is located to the east of the museum and cameras. Also seen are manifests, intermodal, and combined intermodal/manifest..
On occasion, the gates will activate, but will soon after deactivate, with no train, which is due to the switcher in the yard proceeding far forward enough to enter the crossing's track circuit.
There are no VIA Rail passenger trains through Revelstoke, however, during part of the year the Rocky Mountaineer can be seen.
There are 2 ATCS layouts, one for each sub, but there is no server coverage. No radio feeds are available.
There’s no schedule for freight trains, but some of our more knowledgeable members will provide real-time information when it’s available. Please refrain from asking.

Hola, Buenos Dias! Bienvenidos to Acapulco I am Rudy Fregoso Owner and Private Tour Guide of Tour By Van - Day Tours Acapulco.
We have been awarded with the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence
My team and I will be happy to meet and pick you up at the cruise ship terminal, the airport or even your hotel. I organize any type of private tailor-made city tour, excursion, sightseeing or transportation service for you and your family.
With large cruise shore trip groups you are stuck to their tight schedule and right down to the forced gift shop visit. Sometimes they pass up the most interesting details about a sight because it would be impossible for everyone in a large group to see it.
And if you can't hear the guide, or you fall behind because the pace is too fast, you're just out of luck. Touring in My Van you will get to places that for a bus would simply be impossible.
You will not waste time in shops or wandering around with people with different interests and preferences. You will choose your own pace and schedule. It's your vacation!!! Get the most out of it!!!!

CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Lava erupts from the tar pits and Mike (Tommy Lee Jones) and Kelly (Gaby Hoffman) must make a daring leap to safety.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Disaster visits jaded L.A. in the form of an underground volcano, not the big earthquake all the citizens expect. Shot on the largest set ever constructed in the U.S., in nearby Torrance, California, Volcano is a big-budget, special-effects-laden disaster movie with a standard plot. Tommy Lee Jones plays Mike Roark, a by-the-book emergency management director who is spending the weekend with his daughter, Kelly (Gaby Hoffmann), when the previously-unknown volcano blows. Sassy, brainy scientist Dr. Amy Barnes (Ann Heche) is the first to warn of the threat, which begins by sucking one of her co-workers into a steaming fissure. As the lava starts to spurt in red-hot fireballs, Kelly is injured, and Mike sends her to the hospital in order to attend to his duties, rescue citizens, and run the city's emergency response. Eventually, Roark and Barnes team up to battle the eruption while sparks of romantic attraction fly.
