Legacy Ship Walking Tour
While Vikings fans anxiously await the completion of U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis, the team announced today that the stadium’s three-acre entry plaza will be anchored by a sculptural interpretation of a 2nd century Viking Ship. The Legacy Ship, designed by RipBang Studios, the Venice California Based design team, and a member of Minneapolis based Nelson Worldwide Holdings. It will be rendered in contemporary materials and incorporate theatrical lighting and effects that make it appear to emerge from the fog.
The civic-scaled monument will provide year-round activity for all Minneapolis residents and visitors alike. It will feature and up to 12,000 individually inscribed bricks and gently sloping ramps and benches bordered by 5’ diameter Viking shields. Under an archway of illuminated oars culminating in a 14 foot tall interactive dragon figurehead that comes to life with animated light and sound effects that react to game action.
The design team included members of NELSON, also an NWH Company – and sister-company to RipBang. “As a long-time resident of Minneapolis, I am honored that we are a part of this new monument for Vikings fans,” said John “Ozzie” Nelson Jr, Chairman and CEO of NWH and its companies. “As you enter the new US Bank stadium, you will be greeted by the very symbol of our team.”

Kansas City is the largest city in the U.S. state of Missouri. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city had an estimated population of 491,918 in 2018, making it the 38th most-populous city in the United States. It is the central city of the Kansas City metropolitan area, which straddles the Kansas–Missouri state line. Kansas City was founded in the 1830s as a Missouri River port at its confluence with the Kansas River coming in from the west. On June 1, 1850, the town of Kansas was incorporated; shortly after came the establishment of the Kansas Territory. Confusion between the two ensued and the name Kansas City was assigned to distinguish them soon after.
Sitting on Missouri's western boundary with Kansas, with Downtown near the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, the modern city encompasses some 319.03 square miles (826.3 km2), making it the 23rd largest city by total area in the United States. Most of the city lies within Jackson County, but portions spill into Clay, Cass, and Platte counties. Along with Independence, one of its major suburbs, it serves as one of the two county seats of Jackson County. Other major suburbs include the Missouri cities of Blue Springs and Lee's Summit and the Kansas cities of Overland Park, Olathe, and Kansas City.
The city is composed of several neighborhoods, including the River Market District in the north, the 18th and Vine District in the east, and the Country Club Plaza in the south. Kansas City is known for its long tradition of jazz music and culture, especially theater – the city was the center of the Vaudevillian Orpheum circuit in the 1920s. It is also noted for its cuisine, including its distinctive Kansas City-style barbecue, and its craft breweries.

Southeast of the junction of Interstate 494 and Minnesota State Highway 77, north of the Minnesota River and across the Interstate from the Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport. Opened in 1992, it is the second largest mall in terms of leaseable space, the largest mall in the United States in terms of total floor area (including Nickelodeon Universe), and the twelfth largest in the world.
Mall of America became the largest shopping mall in total area and largest in total store vendors in the United States when it opened. Naturalization Oath Ceremony ~ Round Lake Beach 9/17/12
The Naturalization Oath Ceremony was held at the Round Lake Beach Cultural & Civic Center on September 17, 2012 because they are a community partner with the Round Lake Area Public Library and Mano a Mano Family Resource Center. It was a dream for Edith Basir, a volunteer Citizenship Teacher for 5+ years, to hold a Naturalization Ceremony in the Round Lake Area, and what better place than the Civic Center. Edith could not be with us today, as she was out of state welcoming a new grandson, but her spirit was with us. Edith and her husband Salman were a sponsor partner for today's event. Mano a Mano is also a long-time partner with the library in offering free citizenship support services to local and neighboring immigrants.
Many of the men and women naturalized today have been on the path to citizenship for a long time, and today they are realizing their dream of becoming U.S. Citizens, said Elena Lara at today's ceremony. Carolina Duque , Executive Director of Mano a Mano and Mayra Mena oversee the Citizenship Program at Mano a Mano. The library is a site partner for the program. The teachers of the Citizenship Program are volunteers with Mano a Mano and are dedicated in teaching eligible permanent residents the civics requirement of the test, as well as helping them develop their speaking, and writing skills. All those applying to become a naturalized U.S. Citizenship must pass the naturalization test. At the naturalization interview, they are required to answer questions about their application and background. They also take an English and Civics test.
Naturalization is the process by which U.S. citizenship is granted to a foreign citizen or national after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

All The Lights On: Reimagining Theater to Include Everyone | Michelle Hensley | TEDxMinneapolis
Michelle Hensley describes the motivation behind starting her theater company Ten Thousand Things, which takes award-winning professional theater -_ Shakespeare, Greek Tragedy, Brecht-- to audiences who live on the margins in shelters and prisons and immigrant centers, as well as to a savvy theater-going public. She highlights the discoveries the company has made about theater by doing it this way, and makes a strong case for the radical and positive change that can happen to any human endeavor when inclusion becomes a priority.
Michelle Hensley is the artistic director of Ten Thousand Things, where she has directed and produced over 60 tours of award-winning drama to nontraditional audiences in prisons, shelters and housing projects, as well as the general public, with most productions making local critics' Top Ten Lists. A McKnight Theater Fellow, in 2012 Michelle was named the Star Tribune's Best Artistic Director. She received the Francesca Primus Prize from the American Theater Critics Association for outstanding contribution to the American theater by a female artist. She is a founding member of the Minnesota Theater Alliance, serves on the boards of the Theater Communications Group and Howlround, and in March published her book All The Lights On: Reimagining Theater with Ten Thousand Things. TTT's touring model has been adopted by The Public Theater in New York City, the Bay Area's California Shakespeare Theater, and The Old Globe Theater of San Diego.

Places to see in ( Saint Paul - USA )
Places to see in ( Saint Paul - USA )
Saint Paul, the state capital of Minnesota, forms the Twin Cities with neighboring Minneapolis. It’s home to the Science Museum of Minnesota, with its dinosaur specimens and immersive theater. The Minnesota History Center has interactive exhibits about the region's history. Nearby is the beaux arts Cathedral of Saint Paul. The Cass Gilbert–designed Minnesota State Capitol features paintings of Civil War scenes.
Founded near historic Native American settlements as a trading and transportation center, the city rose to prominence when it was named the capital of the Minnesota Territory in 1849. The Dakota name for Saint Paul is Imnizaska. Though Minneapolis (Bdeota) is better-known nationally, Saint Paul contains the state government and other important institutions. Regionally, the city is known for the Xcel Energy Center, home of the Minnesota Wild, and for the Science Museum of Minnesota. As a business hub of the Upper Midwest, it is the headquarters of companies such as Ecolab. Saint Paul, along with its Twin City, Minneapolis, is known for its high literacy rate. It was the only city in the United States with a population of 250,000 or more to see an increase in circulation of Sunday newspapers in 2007.
The settlement originally began at present-day Lambert's Landing, but was known as Pig's Eye after Pierre Pig's Eye Parrant established a popular tavern there. When Lucien Galtier, the first Catholic pastor of the region, established the Log Chapel of Saint Paul (shortly thereafter to become the first location of the Cathedral of Saint Paul), he made it known that the settlement was now to be called by that name, as Saint Paul as applied to a town or city was well appropriated, this monosyllable is short, sounds good, it is understood by all Christian denominations.
The city's seventeen Planning Districts are:
Sunray-Battle Creek-Highwood
Greater East Side
West Side
Dayton's Bluff
Payne-Phalen
North End
Thomas Dale (Frogtown)
Summit-University
West End
Como Park

In winter months, Saint Paul hosts the Saint Paul Winter Carnival, a tradition that began in 1886 when a New York reporter called Saint Paul another Siberia. Attended by 350,000 visitors annually, the event showcases ice sculpting, an annual treasure hunt, winter food, activities, and an ice palace. The Como Zoo and Conservatory and adjoining Japanese Garden are popular year-round. The historic Landmark Center in downtown Saint Paul hosts cultural and arts organizations. The city's notable recreation locations include Indian Mounds Park, Battle Creek Regional Park, Harriet Island Regional Park, Highland Park, the Wabasha Street Caves, Lake Como, Lake Phalen, and Rice Park, as well as several areas abutting the Mississippi River. The Irish Fair of Minnesota is also held annually at the Harriet Island Pavilion area. And the country's largest Hmong American sports festival, the Freedom Festival, is held the first weekend of July at McMurray Field near Como Park.
