Chicago Speakeasy Bar | The Drifter | Burlesque Sideshows & Tarot Cards
On this episode of On Foodable Side Dish we meet Liz Pearce, the managing partner at The Drifter, an authentic speakeasy from Chicago’s Prohibition era. The bar is hidden behind a door that poses as a decorated, wooden shelf on a wall inside a restaurant called The Green Door Tavern. Even the restaurant’s name alludes to the fact that there was a functioning bar inside of the establishment during the 1920s and 1930s. Back then, painting a restaurant's door green indicated the presence of an illicit liquor store or nightclub.

Chicago's Best Dive Bar: Rossi's
Rossi's is an enignma of a Dive Bar in River North, Chicago. It is part-bar and part-liquor store. It is dark and grungy, but always busy, even in the morning. The people who come here are great, but interesting. There is a beer fridge built into the wall, and you can just help yourself to whichever drink you'd prefer. Definitely not like any other bars in River North, or any other bars in downtown Chicago for that matter. Go check it out!

Deadly 70-car pileup in Iowa caught on camera
Authorities say seven people have been killed — including two teenage sisters — on Iowa roads as a winter storm swept the state Monday, leading to dozens of crashes and a 50- to 70-car pileup near Ames.
The Des Moines Register reports that 17-year-old Avery Arneson and 13-year-old Aiden Arneson, sisters from Decorah, died a two-vehicle crash around 8:30 a.m. Monday on a county road in northeast Iowa. Four other teens were injured and hospitalized in that crash.
In Cedar Rapids, two men died in a crash on Interstate 380. Killed were 24-year-old Jacolby Jesse Burks, of Cedar Rapids, and 21-year-old Devion Martel Luster, of Dixon, Illinois.
One person died and several people were critically injured in the pileup that closed Interstate 35 near Ames.
On I-80, police say a person was killed in a crash east of Grinnell around 1:20 p.m., and another person died and two others were injured at 1:40 p.m. near Durant.

Body camera video released by Las Vegas police shows a police involved shooting earlier this week where a suspect was fatally shot near the Las Vegas strip. The shootout left two Metro Police officers shot and one injured. The 25-year-old Miguel Salas died from a fatal shot to the head.

Pileup Surrounds Untouched Tractor Trailer || ViralHog
Occurred on February 15, 2019 / Oak Grove, Missouri, USA
Tanika was driving our truck while Jamon was in the sleeper berth on I-70 West around 10:30 am. Jamon heard a gasp from Tanika as she swerved to avoid a tractor-trailer and used all her brakes to slow down so we would not make the accident worse. We were inches away from hitting a car but stopped safely. Cars were flying past us just running into each other until a tractor trailer came and slowed the car traffic down. One person who unfortunately died at the scene and many people were injured. There were a lot of cars that were towed, but our truck was remarkably accident-free.
