This Day Fresno: Live Again Fresno
This Day Fresno is a series of films following eight nonprofits in Fresno, California and the work they are doing to improve their respective neighborhoods.
Live Again Fresno (LAF) is a grantee of the CORE Initiative grant of the Central Valley Community Foundation. LAF provides after-school programs two times per week for the children who live on Parkway Drive. The children receive help with homework, emotional and social support, and unstructured play time where they can delight in the joys of childhood without worrying about their surroundings.
FresYes Fest, Fresno Foxes home opener draws crowd of more than 15K to downtown
FresYes Fest is one of the biggest block parties of the year in downtown Fresno, putting local businesses front and center. It was also the first game of the season for Fresno FC.
Nearly 15,000 people from all over the Central Valley flocked to downtown for the two, highly-anticipated events.
This is my first time here, having a great time, great people, great breweries, I love it,” says Aldo Cardenas, Fresno resident.
Event organizers at the hosting brewery, Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company, were thankful that the weather held up since the area was a bit wetter earlier in the day.
I'm super excited to see the weather, people smiling, families are out here, it's a really enjoyable time, says Michael Cruz, president of Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company.
From different pop-up shops to a new food area added to the fest, Cruz says events like this help highlight the revitalization of downtown.
A lot of people assume that there's only things going on a handful of times a year like FresYes Fest but we stay busy the whole year around so there's always something going on you just have to learn about it, he says.
Like the Fresno Foxes soccer team at Chukchansi Park, it was also the first home game of the second season.
Officials with team say it's looking like a good season. I hope we all win, that's what we're looking to do, says Chris Wilson, vice president of operations for the Fresno Foxes.
The team won its third straight game against Reno, with 7,863 fans in attendance.

I'm talking about Fresno Fuego at Chukchansi Park and The Fire Squad (Supporters' Group, or Ultras, or Barras)! Like warriors in their colors this fan-mob starts at Tioga Sequoia Brewing Company and marches to the beat of a mongol horde. We highly recommend checking out a game this season, wear the colors and hang with the Fire Squad!

Red Trolley Ale Karl Strauss Brewing Company
Red Trolley Karl Strauss Brewing Company.
The Boys are at it again with Special Guests, KC and QC Rob. This time they are kicking back in the backyard hanging with KC who just brought in a Growler of Red Trolley Ale from the Karl Strauss Brewing Company in San Diego. Check out this entertaining and insightful brew bro's beer review from the Karl Strauss Brewing Company. The Award Winning Red Trolley Ale.
Red Trolley Ale sets the standard for Irish Red Ales. Each batch of this multi award-winning beer is brewed with a half-ton of caramelized malts for a deep copper color and toffee flavor. After adding the perfect mix of hops for balance, the brew is warm-fermented to bring out hints of raisins and currants. It’s time to take this Trolley for a ride.
