In Tokyo, These Trains Jingle All the Way
While most train stations alert passengers with basic dings and dongs, metro riders in Japan are treated to uniquely crafted melodies. Minoru Mukaiya is the mastermind behind these jingles—he’s made around 200 distinct chimes for over 110 stations. For Minoru, there’s no greater joy than bringing a little bit of music to millions across Japan every day.

Shinjuku Station, Tokyo - A 4K Walkthrough - 新宿駅 - Japan As It Truly Is
Shinjuku Station is one of the busiest in the world - it's like a city unto itself. Take a walk through one of the biggest mazes ever.
Actually the inspiration to make this was in response to one of the most emphatic, pontificating old hags I've ever encountered online, who insists new tourists in Tokyo should stay near a station like this. What you see here is not even a busy time - it's one of the least busy, on a weekday afternoon. Can you imagine plopping a first-timer in Tokyo into the middle of all this? It might take hours to make your way out to where you want to be - the whole station has over 200 exits. Shinjuku Station is not just one railway station - there are 9 railways and 3 subway lines all converging onto this one station, and what you see is only a tiny fraction of the whole complex.
Included here is JR Shinjuku Station, one of the busiest (but still at a low traffic hour), as well as the Odakyu promenade with lots of stores and restaurants, as well as another station area.
If you have time, get lost here for a little while and explore one of Tokyo's most frenetic places.

How to get from Narita Airport to Central Tokyo
#DistantLands #NaritaAirport #Tokyo
Wheels down, you have landed at Narita Airport your next step is to grab your bags, clear customs and then make your way to Tokyo. Narita airport is located about 60 kilometers east of Tokyo and the options for getting to from Narita to Tokyo are many and varied from Train, bus, taxi and even helicopter. For the first time visitor, the variety can seem a bit overwhelming. Depending on where your final destination is in Tokyo, one way may be more convenient than an other. Let us sort out the confusion.
Tokyo is a vast metropolitan area, with over 770 square miles to explore. Locals speak of Tokyo’s geography in terms of Train Lines. There’s a loop line around central Tokyo called the Yamanote Line. The neighborhoods on this line and the neighborhoods with in the loop are all considered downtown Tokyo. The Yamanote loop includes six stations the serve as Tokyo’s main connecting hubs: Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Shibuya, Shinagawa and Ueno stations. Anything outside the Yamanote loop is considered uptown or suburbia. This makes Tokyo’s downtown massive: the loop is 21.4 miles around.
All of this is important when considering transportation options from Narita Airport. One express train may be better for you than the other depending where in Tokyo you need to go.

Japan Tokyo Vlog | Air Japan, Park Hyatt Hotel, Shibuya, Ginza, Shinjuku, izakaya日本,东京之旅
Tokyo vlog Day 1
Tokyo is officially my favorite city in the world!
It offers unlimited choice of shopping, entertainment, culture and dining experience.
We bought Air Japan first class with miles and stayed at the best hotels in Tokyo- Park Hyatt and Andaz. I wanted the trip to be special and memorable because Tokyo has always been on my travel list, the country was very close to my hometown but somehow I had never make the trip. Finally. 2019.
The service and hospitality in Japan is top notch, I 100% agree that Japan has the best service in the world. The way businesses in Japan treat the customer is not only a matter of convenience and marketing, but a reflection of respect and an omnipresent will to do right by the customer. The respect they give you is almost a culture shock to me. I love Japan any day for this.
A reminder for travelers to Tokyo (or Japan in general), and this is something I really appreciate, It’s prohibited to eat or drink(except water) while walking on the street, stay in one place until you finish your food.
Also If you are on subway with backpack, make sure not to wear your backpack on your back but hold it in your hands in front of you. It’s actually a rule, very thoughtful.
Thanks for watching. I just start to make a few vlogs of our trips this month, it's super weird to hear my own voice and it's actually a lot harder than I thought it would be to talk in front of a camera. But nothing like re-live the moment of our trips, for me it is a highly enjoyable experience to record, edit and watch.
If you enjoyed watching this video please give me a thumb up.
We went to Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe this trip in Japan then China. More videos coming up.

????????????Walking around New Olympic Stadium Tokyo (construction going on yet)【4K】Shinjuku City, Japan
????????????Walking around New Olympic Stadium Tokyo (新オリンピックスタジアム) (construction going on yet), Shinjuku City (新宿区), Tokyo (東京), Japan (日本). I was walking around the new Olympic Stadium Tokyo (新オリンピックスタジアム東京). I am pretty excited to see the new stadium whose official name is New National Stadium (新国立競技場) before it's opening. The capacity of the new Olympic (National) stadium will be 68,000. With special temporary seats, it will be maximum 80,016 when 2020 Summer Olympics (2020 Tokyo Olympics) (2020年東京オリンピック) will be held. According to some articles, the Tokyo Olympic stadium 90% finished during July 2019 and will open for the first time in December 2019. The construction is still going on yet, but I feel an enormous 80,016 people of excitement. “The stadium will serve as the main stadium for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the venue for track and field events at the 2020 Summer Olympics and 2020 Summer Paralympics.” from Wikipedia. Just in case of letting everybody know, I walked from the platform of JR Sendagaya Station (千駄ケ谷駅) (Chuo-Sobu Line (中央・総武緩行線) and passed Kokuritsu-Kyogijo Station (国立競技場駅) of Toei Oedo Line (都営地下鉄大江戸線) which is Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (東京都交通局) (Subway). After that, I walked all way around of the stadium and stopped by Japan Olympic Museum. And then I kept walking around the stadium and went to JR Shinanomachi Station (信濃町駅) (Chuo-Sobu Line) because the all stations are nearby the stadium (walking distance 2 minutes to 5 minutes), so after you watch the video, you won’t miss the stadium. Please check it out! It’s in Japan took by Apple iPhone XS Max 【4K video Dual OIS Dual 12MP rear cameras】

Ramen Noodle Chuo Shinkawa Tokyo
This local ramen shop is where the office staff visit for their lunch break.
I was walking past and saw a long line of suited office staff and was asking them of the variety of ramen available,
So I joined the lunch sitting at the counter, it was down to the chef in the kitchen to his taste, to your own stock and soup base with your choice of noodles.

Tokyo's Imperial palace Grounds - Japan Vlog Day 1
This is the first vlog of our trip to Japan in September 2015 and features the Imperial Palace Gardens, Marunouchi, Ginza and Yurakucho.
We arrived in Tokyo at 7am. By the time we went through passport control, picked up our passport, boarded the JR Sobu Line and checked into our Hotel, it was 1pm. Our hotel the Grand Arc Hanzomon was located right next to the Imperial Garden. The Imperial Garden and adjacent Ginza, Yurakucho and Marunouchi were therefore obviously our first port of call.
THE IMPERIAL PALACE
The current Imperial Palace (皇居) is located on the former site of the Edo Castle. It is surrounded by a large park, moat and impressive stone walls. The inner grounds of the palace are closed to the public more often than not. Visitors do however have access to the public Imperial East Garden and Outer Park on a daily basis. Japanese Guided Tours of the palace grounds are offered on rare occasions. If you are determined to catch a rare glimpse of the Inner Gardens, you might want to book this tour a long time in advance.
MARUNOUCHI
Located to the East of the Imperial Palace, Maranouchi (丸の内) is one of Japan’s most prestigious business districts. Together with Otemachi, Maranouchi is now home to the headquaters of many of Japan’s most powerful companies. Many older buildings have recently been replaced by large skyscrapers, with shops and entertainment on the lower floors, whil offices are located on the floors above.
GINZA
Adjacent to Marunouchi, Ginza (銀座) is Tokyo’s most famous upmarket, dining and entertainment district. This is where Tokyo’s most prestigious businessmen come to play. The area features numerous up-market department stores, boutiques, restaurants, art galleries and night clubs. If you fancy splashing your cash, you can do so on one of the infamous $10 cups of coffee. The best time to visit Ginza is on the weekend when the central Chuo Dori is closed to vehicle traffic and becomes a large pedestrian zone.
YURAKUCHO
Just like the adjacent district of Ginza, Yurakucho (有楽町) offers a wealth of shopping and dining opportunities, but with a more relaxed and approachable atmosphere. Head to Yurakucho’s lively restaurant district built up under the brick arches of the train track. Known as Gad-Shita (below the Girder), this is one of Tokyo’s best watering holes. The restaurants extend for hundreds of meters, nearly all the way to Tokyo Station. This is the perfect spot to enjoy your first Japnese dinner and a pint or two of beer.
