Thailand - Bangkok - First day Ghetto Sommarenmedzilla.blogg.se
This is the hotell we arrived to on our first day in Thailland. We ended up in some strange ghetto area in bangkok, because the damn taxidriver and taxi managers outside the airport didnt listen to us (they were not so good at english). There were no tourists, not a single one there! So the ppl looked at us like we were lost or something, and indeed we were.
OBS! Video may contain strong images. That might be found accusive for some veiwers.

SCAMS IN BANGKOK THAILAND - Watch out for THIS!
Tourist Scams in Bangkok Thailand so don’t fall victim! The classic “Thailand Scam” is nothing new, but scammers are evolving and their methods are constantly changing. If travel to Bangkok is on your bucket list, you have to watch this video to find out how to avoid scams in Thailand.
Getting scammed in Bangkok (almost) is not something we are particularly proud of, especially because we did so much research on common scams in Thailand before we set off to travel here. We were actually hesitant to make this video until we realized this could help a ton of people identify what is actually real human generosity vs. one of the many Thailand scams to avoid.
We come from Philadelphia, a big city in America where the taxi scam is also prevalent, so we are not new to the fact that in every country there are people who try to take advantage of tourists. But everyone in Thailand had been nice so far that we unfortunately let our guard down in the wrong moment.
Strolling through Chinatown Bangkok, we were approached by a business owner and his friend who was a taxi driver. I bet you can figure out what happened from there… the taxi scam is a super common Thai scam that has been successfully targeting tourists while enjoying their first time in Bangkok.
Please, if you have any questions about the worst scam in Bangkok Thailand, how we managed to get out of it, or anything at all, leave a comment down below and we will respond in no time. Thanks for watching, we will see you guys in the next video. Sea!
* Unlike other travel vloggers, we live and work in a different country each month. Our channel will show you what it’s like to live abroad while exploring top tourist destinations and hidden gems. We will eat local cuisine but still find the best spots to have American food while overseas. Each month we rent an apartment or airbnb in a different city or country, so follow along on this journey and learn about countries around the world. We hope you enjoy our travel vlog, don’t forget to subscribe!

Back to Bangkok, trip to Ayutthaya, kanchanaburi and more
(This is a slightly different video then uploaded earlier today. Fixed the bad resolution and made changes)
After leaving Ubon and driving back to bangkok for a couple days. We took a day trip to Ayutthaya and kanchanaburi. We visited many temples and famous places on the way. In bangkok we stayed in Rangsit and Bobae market area. Ayutthaya we visited Wat Phra Mahatat, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Chai Watthanaram, Wat Phanan Choeng and the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace. The next day we went to a road trip to Kanchanaburi on way there we stopped at a very big park called Phuttha Monthon, phra pathom chedi then in Kanchanaburi we went to Bridge on The River Kwai or also called death railway and last stop at Wat Tham Suea.
More trips coming up soon in just a few weeks. Phuket, Krabi, bangkok, chiang mai, chiang rai and Isaan. Two months of traveling all over thailand.

Bangkok Clubbing - Thailand VLog #15
WEIRD Thai Fortune Teller experience in Old Bangkok -- wear hat & don't play with knifes.OK! (หมอดู)
In this vlog, I paid for two of us to have a reading by this fortune teller (หมอดู Mor-do) who doesn't speak any English -- about 600b or so... We didnt expect it to take like 2 hours. Wow was she detailed! We definitely got our cultural experience worth.
I learned that I better wear a hat to protect me, dont wear black, wear red, August and December are lucky months for me, and I really could do well with wearing a dragon around my neck all the time.
Thai Fortune Tellers hold a special place in the hearts of The superstitious locals here, from the upper levels of society down to the lower levels. Some Thai and Asian politicians and army generals make major decisions based on their advice. Business men consult them on million dollar moves. Couples decide when to get married or not -- or even what date and time from their advice.
I am in Bangkok, Thailand, walking distance from Khao San Road, Chinatown and Grand Palace, with my two awesome friends Scott and Tommy. I really wanted to check out this old mystery building along the street, which turned out to be a very very old fortune teller shop. Luckily, I had Tommy with me to translate.
Check out the inside of this ancient looking shop that almost nobody gets to see.
We are very off the tourist beaten path -- locals only! Traveling Thailand is incredible. It is true that there are a lot of tourists. but it is also easy to travel off the main tourist roads and find the real authentic Thai experience.
Definitely an awesome cultural experience.
Approximate location of this fortune teller shop: Dropped pin
Near 84-14 Thanon Mahannop, Khwaeng Sao Chingcha, Khet Phra Nakhon, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10200, Thailand

An American in Thailand -
As an expat living in Thailand since 1996, Scott Mallon has worked as a photojournalist for the past twelve years, been inside both Bang Kwang and Klong Prem Prisons (as a journalist), lost months at a time partying the days and nights away, been hospitalized several times, been near death once, fought in Muay Thai, managed a world-rated championship boxer, trained professional boxers, been thrown in jail, and fathered two children. Somehow, through it all, he's managed to remain married to the same Thai woman.
You'll get the good, the bad, and the ugly from someone who has lived here - really lived. No touristy fluff, no backpacker BS, no illusions of grandeur, only the truth as An American in Bangkok sees it.
