Traveling to South Korea! | Day 1 - 30 Oct 2017
Participated in a private autumn group tour to South Korea last 30 Oct 2017 to 4 Nov 2017. This vlog is Day 1, leaving Manila, arriving at Seoul Incheon International Airport, and settling at our hotel.
Our flight on 30 October was still at 5 in the afternoon, but my day started early because we had to pick up my aunt and cousin in Batangas before heading to the airport. We actually arrived at the airport early--we thought it'd be traffic since it's going to be a LONG weekend, but we were wrong. Ergo, we had to wait for, like, four hours until our flight commenced.
It was about 10 pm (GMT+9) when we arrived at Seoul, but we got out of immigration + baggage counter about an hour later. We then arrived at our hotel at around 1 PM #tearz.
Anyway, so this was Day 1 of the 5-day tour! More happenings in the coming vlogs ❤️

Seoul Korea sightseeing trip 2019 VLOG - what to do in Seoul?
****
In todays episode you will get to know what to do in Seoul and little bit more about Korea & Seul sightseeing trip.
Seoul is home to 115 museums,[110] including four national and nine official municipal museums. Amongst the city's national museum, The National Museum of Korea is the most representative of museums in not only Seoul but all of South Korea. Since its establishment in 1945, the museum has built a collection of 220,000 artifacts.[111] In October 2005, the museum moved to a new building in Yongsan Family Park. The National Folk Museum is situated on the grounds of the Gyeongbokgung Palace in the district of Jongno District and uses replicas of historical objects to illustrate the folk history of the Korean people.[112] The National Palace Museum of Korea is also located on the grounds of the Gyeongbokgung Palace. Finally, the Seoul branch of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, whose main museum is located in Gwacheon, opened in 2013, in Sogyeok-dong.
Bukchon Hanok Village and Namsangol Hanok Village are old residential districts consisting of hanok Korean traditional houses, parks, and museums that allows visitors to experience traditional Korean culture.[113][114]
The War Memorial, one of nine municipal museums in Seoul, offers visitors an educational and emotional experience of various wars in which Korea was involved, including Korean War themes.[115][116] The Seodaemun Prison is a former prison built during the Japanese occupation, and is currently used as a historic museum.[117]
The Seoul Museum of Art and Ilmin Museum of Art have preserved the appearance of the old building that is visually unique from the neighboring tall, modern buildings. The former is operated by Seoul City Council and sits adjacent to Gyeonghuigung Palace, a Joseon dynasty royal palace. Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art, is widely regarded as one of Seoul's largest private museum. For many Korean film lovers from all over the world, the Korean Film Archive is running the Korean Film Museum and Cinematheque KOFA in its main center located in Digital Media City(DMC), Sangam-dong. The Tteok & Kitchen Utensil Museum and Kimchi Field Museum provide information regarding Korean culinary history.
Religious monuments
Myeongdong Cathedral
There are also religious buildings that take important roles in Korean society and politics. The Wongudan altar was a sacrificial place where Korean rulers held heavenly rituals since the Three Kingdoms period. Since the Joseon dynasty adopted Confucianism as its national ideology in the 14th century, the state built many Confucian shrines. The descendants of the Joseon royal family still continue to hold ceremonies to commemorate ancestors at Jongmyo. It is the oldest royal Confucian shrine preserved and the ritual ceremonies continue a tradition established in the 14th century. Sajikdan, Munmyo and Dongmyo were built during the same period. Although Buddhism was suppressed by the Joseon state, it has continued its existence. Jogyesa is the headquarters of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. Hwagyesa and Bongeunsa are also major Buddhist temples in Seoul.

Seoul South Korea - Rainy Day 01
Our First Day in Seoul South Korea is freezing cold???? it rains with the wind blows deep within our thin clothes! we arrived at 6:25AM Korea time and we stayed in the airport for like an hour of two?
As soon as we landed we went through a travel declaration line and go straight to immigration for passporting, after passing the immigration we looked for pocket wifi which is located at the Ground Level of terminal 2 and we bought our T-Money on the same floor which is adorably cute with different designs, then we proceed to Basement 1 and used subway transferring to Terminal 1 and from there, A private car from a local korean man approached us while we are trying to look for bus no. 6002 to Jongno 3-ga station.
We reached our hotel at 12nn if I am not mistaken but because of hotel policy plus its fully booked they can't cater early check in so we left our luggages in the hotel locker while we try to walk around to fill our empty stomach, it was raining so it's quite annoying and difficult to walk all the way to subway station (Jongno-3 ga) which is 250m far from our hotel most likely 5min. Walk but we run out of choice so we need to walk through the rain. We reached dongdaemun and dongdaemun plaza and ate lunch. We went back to the hotel before 3:00pm for check in, upon checking-in we decided to sleep before going somewhere. OH! Before anything else, just to brag about the hotel! location of hotel is walking distance of all Palaces, Bukchon Village, Insadong, 10-15 minutes subway to Myeongdong and Dongdaemun and another thing is their housekeeping clean our rooms daily!! ???????????? back to our trip, at night time we walk to nearby restaurant which you can check detail below???? and all the way we have witness lotus lantern festival held near Cheongyecheon Stream, Jongno-gu.

***********************************************************************
We start with tteokbokki- one of Korea’s most popular street foods-rice cakes slathered in gochujang sauce. We head to tteokbokki town where around 10 restaurants specialise in tteokbokki hotpots. Tteokbokki, instant noodles, vegetables, egg and a range of other tasty ingredients are cooked together in a gochujang sauce at the table over a gas cooker.
Our next stop is for Korean BBQ a must eat when you’re visiting Korea! Korean BBQ town is located within Majang Meat Market so the meat is super fresh. We dive into a gigantic Korean BBQ feast of different cuts of beef and all of the accompanying banchan (side dishes).
We finish at Sundae Town! Sundae is Korean blood sausage- it’s made up of pig’s blood and cellophane noodles and is cooked at the table in various styles. We eat baek sundae or “white sundae” made up of sundae, various vegetables and noodles- the specialty of Sundae Town!
Where we ate:
Tteokbokki town, 서울특별시 중구 신당동 다산로33길 10-18. Open lunch and dinner.
Restaurant in Korean BBQ town, 761-8, Majang-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Open in the evening.
Ttsuni Sundae at Sundae town, 서울특별시 관악구 신림동 1640-31. Open 24 hours.
