Fundraising underway to open Central Topeka grocery store
A Topeka man is raising money to open a grocery store in Central Topeka. James Frager created a Go-Fund-Me in the hopes of raising $65,000 to open a neighborhood market near the corner of Huntoon and Lane. The area has been without a grocery store since nearby Dillons closed in February.

Thanks to Chaz Shand who provided the DVD's. Recorded live at the State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois on August 24,1993. Drone was a jam song they used to warm up. Musicatto is from the 1986 album POWER. Kind of a cavernous sound but the video isn't too bad. That looks like the same yellow jacket Steve wore on the 1994 German TV show appearance. La Plata, MO, in Northern Missouri, is located on BNSF Railway's Marceline Subdivision at milepost 312.7, part of their Southern Transcon, the former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway (AT&SF) mainline between Chicago and Los Angeles.
Amtrak’s Southwest Chief passenger train stops here twice a day; the eastbound train #4 in the morning and the westbound train #3 in the evening.
The typical BNSF freight train volume is between 50 and 70 trains per 24 hours. There are 2 cameras available.
There is an ATCS layout available, as well as a radio feed for the western part of the BNSF Marceline Sub, listening to AAR road channel 30, 160.560 (also includes Norfolk Southern's Kansas City District, on road channel 22, 160.440):

Will the historic Las Vegas High School be saved?
Will the historic Las Vegas High School campus be saved?
The Las Vegas Historic Preservation Commission is urging CCSD to take whatever actions necessary to preserve the buildings.
Alumni were stirred in recent weeks by rumors the district was advancing plans to take down the buildings.
Commission Chairman Bob Stoldal says there is no plan to tear the buildings down, but there also is no specific plan for preserving them.
The 87-year-old academic building and gym are on the National Register of Historic Places.
A new resolution calls the buildings “the most sophisticated examples of the Art Deco architectural style in Las Vegas.”
The school now operates as the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts.
