Will Rogers Memorial 5k, April 21, 2012
Road/Trail race on Rogers State University Campus, near Will Rogers Memorial in Claremore, Oklahoma, on morning of April 21, 2012. Video accelerates after start of race; watch at your own risk--its a bit hard on the eyes. Race run in about 28 minutes, so compressed about 4:1.
McKinleyville Totem Pole, re-carving in 1984
Here are some snippets from a video shot by Mr. Hank Pierson in 1984. The World's Largest Totem Pole, located in McKinleyville, Calif., was carved and erected in 1962. Over the years, the sapwood rotted. So in 1984 the pole was lowered and re-carved. Near the end of this clip there's a man with gray hair and a beard carving the pole. That's the late Mr. Ernest Pierson. Ernest is Mr. Hank Pierson's father.
