2019 Sister Trip - England, Scotland, Ireland
Follow us on our adventure through England, Scotland, and Ireland! Find our complete itinerary, what we would have done differentely, and #nutritarian finds below.
TRAVEL ITINERARY:
1. Fly to LONDON via Norwegian Air, taxi to Notting Hill. 3 nights at an air bnb in London
2. Train to SCOTLAND — London Kings Cross – Edinburgh train really easy and comfortable -1 night in Edinburgh at Harry Potter airbnb, awesome experience - great host who held our bags so we could have 2 full days in Edinburgh
*definitely could have done another night in Edinburgh- one of our favorite places
3. Left around 4 pm, right before the rental car place closes to drive -yes, on the left hand side- to Fort William.
-- We stopped at The Three Sisters Mountain on the way, which was beautiful.
-- We realized we didn't have a hotel for Fort William and spontaneously booked one right before we lost wifi and got really lucky with a last minute open room at the grange in Fort William- amazinggg B&B - grangefortwilliam.com
4. We drove from Fort William to Inverness and made some stops along the way: Ben Nevis Mountain and afternoon tea at Inverlochy Castle.. We wish we got to see isle of sky in Scotland but we couldn’t fit it all!
5. We spent 1 night in Inverness and woke up early to catch a flight from Inverness to Dublin, Ireland via Logan Air
****wouldn’t have done this if booked it again *** We wanted to go to the Cliffs of Moher, but would’ve gone straight to Shannon if we had to do it again to cut driving time.
6. Drive to Cliffs of Moher - must add this to your bucket list if you haven't been; best part of Ireland!
-- Cute town to get a snack on the way is Lahinch, we went to Dodi Cafe, which is close to the cliffs.
7. Drive from Cliffs of Moher back to DUBLIN - Hotel 7 was perfect - good location and made us steamed veggies one of the nights: hotel7dublin.com
8. Fly back to the states from Dublin via Aer Lingus
Things to do and food to eat:

-- Went to Daylesford organic and picked up really chocolate banana oats and fruit for on the go-
Dinner:
-- Farmacy - vegan restaurant with great food loved everything we tried

Our favorite meal in Glasgow, Scotland at the Crafty Pig restaurant and pub
While visiting Glasgow, Scotland for a few days we ended up finding a cool restaurant called the Crafty Pig just a stone throw away from where we were staying. From Monday to Friday they have these amazing lunch specials where you can main, side and a drink for only £4.95. Some of the options for the mains included pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, brisket and chicken wings with sides featuring soups, salads or fries with drink options including a soft drink, tea and/or coffee. I ended up going with the Porky Pig Bun (pulled pork sandwich with barbecue sauce) and Audrey got the Open Brisket sandwich. We each got fries and we upgraded to milkshakes. The behemoth shakes came in the stainless steel milkshake cups used to blend them and probably had a day's worth of calories in each jar. We ended up leaving the place feeling very satisfied. In terms of the atmosphere it definitely has a hipster vibe and looks like a great place to socialize with friends and shoot some pool. Here is the address below:

Our favorite meal in Glasgow, Scotland at the Crafty Pig restaurant and pub travel food video transcript:
So Glasgow is a city for foodies. There is so much great food and today we're bringing you to one of our favorite restaurants The Crafty Pig. Basically everything on the menu is amazing and we've only been here a few days but we just keep coming back.
So it is time for a bit of a confession. There are times when we travel when we find a place that we really like and we just keep coming back.
So they have incredible lunch specials. Yeah, for four pounds 95 you get a feast. It is a feast of a meal. So you basically get your main, you get your choice of sides. We chose fries. They didn't have soup available today but you can also get a soup or a salad and then you get a drink so we both went with tea. And we already showed you that already so let's take a look at this main. Dudes, this is the pulled pork sandwich bun. Oh my gosh. This is amazing. Like take a look at that. Can you see that pulled pork. Yes, I've tried it before and it is mouth watering. You know what just so I can show you guys what the pulled pork looks like.
That is magic in the mouth. What really makes this delicious as well obviously it is tender but then you have this kind of amazing tangy yet sweet sauce that I believe is homemade.
So for mine I went with the brisket open sandwich. Check this out. I'm not even going to try using my hands because it is just going to be so messy. Gosh that looks so good. Look at that beef with a nice glaze.
Barbecue sauce. This is so good. But you've got barbecue sauce on your face. All over my face I bet I do. The meat is like smothered in barbecue sauce it is so good.
Alright, so we got a little greedy and ordered milkshakes, so tell me which one are you having?
These are behemoths. So I'm getting the peanut butter one and before we go on I've just got to tell you what is in this. Like this is amazing stuff. Okay, chocolate and salted caramel ice cream, peanut butter cup pieces, so that is like the Reese's peanut butter cups, caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, peanut butter M and M's and whipped cream.
I went for cookies and cream. And if you take a look here I've got a chocolate Oreo and a chocolate chip cookie. Yeah, and that has also been blended into the milkshake. Oh, man. Lots of whipped cream and chocolate sauce all over. That looks divine.
I don't think I'm going to be able to help you out much with that. We definitely could have shared we just got really greedy. Yeah, we're being pigs at a piggy restaurant basically.
And now it is time for price point. So for the set meal part that we had that was four ninety five and that was the tea, that was our basically our sandwich and our fries. Yep. And then the upgraded to the shake and that cost what I think three seventy five each. So, yeah, overall a really satisfying meal and not too expensive. If you had just come for lunch then it would be quite cheap I think.

Hotel Review: Motel One, Tower Hill, London, England - May 2016
I stayed at the Motel One Tower Hill in London in May 2016. Two of us stayed in a double room for 3 nights, room only for £123 per room per night, booked with Booking.com. This is not a cheap hotel, but then again London is not a cheap city.
The hotel itself was very good, everything you expect from a Motel One, it was modern and new, although unfortunately the first room that we were allocated absolutely stunk of marijuana, so we were moved rooms.
We were allocated a second room which also had a slight whiff of ganja, although nowhere near as bad as the first one. Our first room (723) had a poor view of a building site, but our second room (708) had a wonderful view over the skyscrapers of that part of London.
Within this film are views of the outside of the hotel, the entrance, lounge, lobby, reception, bar, lift elevator, corridors, a detailed inspection of room 723, and a detailed room inspection of 708.
I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again if I needed to be in central London.

With more than 600.000 inhabitants Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland. Most of the historical sights and buildings as well as a number of large murals are located in the center making it easy to explore the city by walking. Another great thing is that most of the museums are free of charge.
One of the highlights for me was the Glasgow Necropolis, a Victorian cemetery located on a very prominent hill to the east of Glasgow Cathedral.
I met up with Kathi who lives in Glasgow for more than 4 years to get to know the trendy parts of the city such as the Hidden Lane in Finnieston and the SWG3 followed by one of the must things to do in Glasgow - ia proper whiskey experience and a night out with live music!

Welcome to LONDON, England. This is a City Walking Tour from SICILIAN AVENUE to HIGH HOLBORN, in BLOOMSBURY, Central London. We're in the heart of London, close to the fabulous British Museum. Walking Tour in 4K Walk by Wanna Walk

What is the Sicilian Avenue? an interesting thing about this street is the monumental nee-classical or Edwardian style arches that borders the two ends of the street. The street is pedestrian shopping parade, although there aren't actually that many shops in the street. As the street is in a mainly business district of London, the shops/restaurants are mostly mid to high end, but pleasant nevertheless. It's kind of quiet during the weekends.
This charming street called Sicilian Avenue it's probably the most wonderful pedestrian little street in London. It is just off Bloomsbury Sq and is lined with small boutiques & several places to eat & drink. Many eateries have outdoor seating which is perfect on a sunny day. Machete-wielding thug is flung 15ft in air by car
THIS is the dramatic moment a machete-wielding thug is mowed down by a rival in broad daylight - before being left for dead by his accomplices.
The man - wearing a balaclava - suffered serious head injuries after being thrown into the air and flung 15 metres along the pavement.
His three accomplices are then seen on film trying to drag him into a waiting getaway car - but they quickly give up when he proves too heavy to lift and decide to save their own skins.
Footage filmed on a home CCTV camera begins with man in a black tracksuit sprinting along the road.
He is apparently being pursued by a group of masked men wielding machetes and bats.
It is understood the hit and run driver was trying to save the man who was being chased.
As the first three men disappear from frame, a blue car is seen racing towards another who has fallen behind.
The vehicle continues to accelerate and rams into him, crushing the man against a parked car and throwing him into the air.
The force of the impact sends him skidding about 15 metres along the concrete, ripping his trousers down in the process.
His accomplices stop and turn around as the blue car speeds away - allowing the first man to escape.
They rush to help the fallen man and try dragging him into a black getaway car but are unable to move him more than a few inches.
One of the bungling raiders then removes his balaclava and panics when a female bystander gets a clear look at his face.
The getaway driver then hops out and the three men make a second attempt to pull the badly injured man into the car but they give up after just a few seconds.
They get back in the vehicle and flee, leaving their partner in crime unconscious at the side of the road as the witness urgently dials 999.
West Midlands Police is now appealing for information about the incident, which happened in Erdington, Birmingham, at around 1.30pm on Friday.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital in a serious condition with a head injury.
“The patient was immobilised at the scene and taken to hospital via land ambulance.
An investigation is under way and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting 1235 of 17/8/2018.
