rozpoczął się festiwal Muzyka w Sandomierzu. To największe wydarzenie muzyczne w mieście. Festiwal od lat ma swoich wiernych słuchaczy. Festiwal z roku na rok zyskuje coraz większą renomę. Organizatorzy liczą nie tylko na sandomierską publiczność, ale również większy udział turystów. Ten rok ogłoszony rozstał rokiem Mikołaja Gomółki, renesansowego kompozytora. W Sandomierzu zachowała się kamienica mistrza
a w czasie festiwalu dwa koncerty poświęcone będą jego muzyce. Od kilku lat ten festiwal nieco odchodzi od muzyki klasycznej. Są też koncerty muzyki rozrywkowej, jazzowej, irlandzkiej, ale myślę, że to dobrze ludzie którzy chwalą sobie muzykę klasyczną skorzystają równiez z tych koncertów. Wszystkie koncerty odbywać się będą w sali rycerskiej Zamku Królewskiego i na jego dziedzińcu. Sandomierski festiwal zakończy się 29 października jedynym w kraju cyklicznym koncertem Cudowne Dzieci.

Sandomierz News from August 16, 2009. A concert of Polish Renaissance music by Warsow choir Elsner Coro began the Festival Music in Sandomierz. This is the biggest musical event in the city. Festival has its faithful audience for years. The festival gains reputation every year. Organizers count not only on the people of Sandomierz but also on the toursts. This year is announced as the year of Mikołaj Gomółka, a Renaissance composer. There's a house that once belonged to the master in Sandomierz and during the festival two of the concerts will be devoted to his music. For several years the festival has walked away a bit from the classical music. There are also concerts of popular, jazz and Irish music, but I think it's good because people coming here for classical music will benefit of them as well. All concerts will be performed in the Knight Hall of the Royal Castle or at its courtyard. The festival in Sandomierz will end on October 29 by the only in Poland cyclical Concert of Wonderful Children.

Renaissance Town Hall, Oleśnicki's Tenement, the Tenement Under the Wings, antique streets, charming cafes and the mysteriousness. The city situated on seven hills is called the Little Rome not without a reason. Tourists are astounded by Sandomierz. Walking and riding on the marketplace in Sandomierz are among favourite things of probably the most famous priest who solves criminal cases in Poland - Father Matthew. The mayor of Sandomierz encourages to join the game, too. You have to be here, see for yourself and vote - he says.

Unikalna budowla sprzed prawie 400 lat z roku na rok niszczeje zdana na łaskę Bożą.
Pierwotnie miała to być baszta obronna zamieniona na kaplicę.To była część zamku o czworobocznym zamku-dworze .Wieś Kichary koło Sandomierza należała w latach 1612-1866 do benedyktynek .Obecnie należy do parafii Góry Wysokie, Ochrona zbytku jest jedynie na papierze ,Deszcze , mrozy i wichury robią swoje.Co na to słuzby ochroniarskie ? Ministerstwo Ochrony Zabytów (MKiDN) ? Nic !
