Hi Everyone!
This time I'm in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (known as TMII) for exploring the Transportation Museum. Also I had to show you a mini cabin tour of the DC-9-32 complete with colourful seats, vintage cockpit, modified bathroom and Entertainment with their 2013 LG flatscreen TV. Join me on this mini tour of TMII and the vintage displayed 60's DC-9-32 in Indonesia!

About me:
My name is Eivind, I am a thirty six year old Norwegian guy living in Oslo, Norway. I am quite new to the YouTuber travel vlog sphere, but hope that you find my videos cool, and as time pass by I hope you see my content getting better and better. My goal is trying to enlighten and brighten your day by giving you interesting videos about traveling, meeting people and eating food from all different kinds of cuisines. Another thing that I want is to break down barriers of travel and prejudices of foreign countries and cultures. My opinion is that most people and cultures are friendly, but unfortunately sometimes media gives a biased view.
Usually my travels goes to places that are a bit out of the beaten track, like smaller cities or just less known cities, where I explore the neighborhoods or head into the nature. If possible, I`ll bring my drone also, but this has become more difficult in recent years due to strict regulations. I will also try to make some videos about my home country Norway, one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
On my travels I like to connect with the local people. Usually I do this via Couchsurfing, either just by meeting up with people to explore together or by actually staying at their place. I also wander aimlessly around in places talking to random people.
I do host a lot of people in my place in Oslo, maybe someday it will be you.
One of my biggest passion in life is food. And when cooking and eating together with nice people it`s the best. I make some videos together with some of my guests, these are really fun to make and I also learn to make new dishes. Maybe you can come cook with me?
Another thing I try to is enlighten people about the environment, especially the plastic problem we have all over the world. In almost every country I go to there is garbage all over. I film it and put it in some videos here and there. As a tip for you, try to pick up one piece of plastic everyday, and of course, never throw any in the first place.

The Jakarta History Museum Part 1 History of The Building
The Jakarta History Museum was the Batavia City Hall. This 300 years old building has a long history and a lot of stories. Its the proof of the existence of the VOC (Dutch East India Company) & the Dutch Colonial Government in the city of Jakarta and Indonesia.
-To reach the place you can use the transjakarta busway to Kota (last destination), or you can use conventional Taxi (I recommended Blue Bird Group) or On line Taxi like: Uber or GrabCar, other transportation is Motorcycle Taxi (Ojek) or online motorcycle taxi like Gojek, Grabike or UberMotor.
-The museum is closed on Monday. Open from Tuesday to Sunday. From 9am to 5pm.
-Ticket price is Rp. 5.000 (about 37 cent) currency : $ 1 = Rp.13.300
Central square in old town Jakarta is a popular heritage area
Kota Tua is the old centre of Batavia, in current Jakarta. The town hall that dates back to the VOC time is a museum now and on a sunday afternoon lots of Indonesians come and visit. The area around the square is a popular hangout and it is improving. New initiatives are taken to preserve the heritage and restore its glamour. The Jakarta Heritage Academy starts in August and will invite heritage specialists, government officials, researchers and entrepreneurs to revitalise the buildings and architecture of the many colonial buildings, some dating back to the 17th century.

Jakarta VLOG
Today I / Bule decided to take a Grab Bike through the streets of Jakarta and visit the National Museum of Indonesia in Jakarta. This is the best way to get around the city as the bikes can weave through traffic with ease and it is also cheaper than taking the car. The only downside is sitting in the scorching heat but deal with it!
The museum is regarded as one of the most complete and the best in Indonesia, as well as one of the finest museum in Southeast Asia. The museum has preserved about 141,000 objects, ranged from prehistoric artifacts, to archeology, numismatics, ceramics, ethnography, history and geography collections. It has comprehensive collections of stone statues of classical Hindu-Buddhist period of ancient Java and Sumatra, as well as quite extensive collections of Asian ceramics.

[4K] Walking Alone ~ Museum Taman Prasasti ~ Museum Kesejarahan Jakarta - Kerkhof
Walking Map :
Museum Taman Prasasti (Indonesian for Museum of Memorial Stone Park or Inscription Museum[1]) is a museum located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The museum was formerly a cemetery, built by the Dutch colonial government in 1795 as a final resting place for noble Dutchmen. Several important person that was buried in the cemetery area are Olivia Mariamne Raffles - the first wife of British governor general Thomas Stamford Raffles - and Indonesian youth activist Soe Hok Gie.[2]
Colour lithograph from an original watercolor by Rappard. The European cemetery Kerkhof Laan in Tanah Abang with the monument of the priest Van der Grinten in 1881-1889
The cemetery area is the oldest of its kind in Jakarta and may have been the oldest modern cemetery in the world by comparison with the Fort Canning Park (1926) in Singapore, Gore Hill cemetery (1868) in Sydney, Père Lachaise Cemetery (1803) in Paris, and Mount Auburn Cemetery (1831) in Cambridge, Massachusetts.[3]
History
The cemetery was officially opened on September 28, 1797, although people had been buried here as early as 1795. The cemetery was known as Kebon Jahe Kober (recorded under this name since December 14, 1798). It was located in Kerkhoflaan and has a total area of 5.9 ha. The cemetery was built to accommodate the increasing number of death that was caused by an outbreak of disease in Batavia. Because of this outbreak, the cemetery area of the New Dutch Church (Dutch Nieuwe Hollandsche Kerk, now the Wayang Museum), Binnenkerk (an inner city Portuguese Church), and Sion Church (an outer city Portuguese Church) was full. Because of this, some of the gravestones from these cemeteries were transferred into Keboh Jahe Kober cemetery.[2]
Kebon Jahe Kober cemetery is located close to the river Kali Krukut. This river was once used as a transportation mode for carrying the dead to the cemetery via boat.
After Indonesia's declaration of independence, the park was used as a Christian cemetery. Within the first two years it was managed by the Verberg Foundation and for the next twenty years it was handled by the Palang Hitam Foundation.[2]
From 1967 to 1975 the cemetery was managed by the Jakarta burials agency. In 1975, the cemetery was closed to make way for the construction of the Central Jakarta mayoralty office. At a request from the local government, some corpses were removed by relatives while others were taken to Tanah Kusir cemetery in South Jakarta. Many tombstones, sculptures and statues were removed and damaged during the construction of the office and now only 32 tombstones remain in their original positions. The size of the cemetery is also reduced from the original 5.9 hectare plot to 1.3 hectares. Only 1,372 of about 4,200 stones were selected to be kept in the cemetery.[2]
The cemetery was officially inaugurated as Taman Prasasti Museum on July 9, 1977 by Ali Sadikin, former governor of Jakarta.
Since 2003, the museum is administered by the Jakarta History Museum management.
=======

Public Transportation in Jakarta
#AirpazGlobalStartTravelingNow
Traffic has become a characteristic of Jakarta. If you are coming to Jakarta for the first time (or even Jakartans who have been living here for some time), to make your way around the city can be a tiresome task. Driving private vehicles seem to waste more time on the road due regular traffic jams.

Surabaya (Indonesian pronunciation: [suraˈbaja]) is the capital of East Java province in Indonesia. Surabaya is the second-largest city in Indonesia with a population of over 3 million within the city proper and over 10 million in the Greater Surabaya metropolitan area, known as Gerbangkertosusila.Located on northeastern Java on the Madura Strait, it is one of the earliest port cities in Southeast Asia. In the 18th and 19th centuries, Surabaya was the largest city in the Dutch East Indies, larger than Batavia (present day Jakarta) and the center of trading in the nation, which was then a competitor of Shanghai and Hong Kong. Today the city remains one of the important financial hubs of the Indonesian archipelago, arguably second only to Jakarta, and the Port of Tanjung Perak is Indonesia's second-busiest seaport.
travelling by train in indonesia.....
The majority of Indonesia's railways are on Java, used for both passenger and freight transport. There are three noncontinuous railway networks in Sumatra (Aceh and North Sumatra; West Sumatra; South Sumatra and Lampung) with two new networks is being developed in Kalimantan and Sulawesi. Indonesia has finalized its plan for a national railway network recently. According to the plan, 3,200 km of train tracks that will criss-cross the islands of Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi, it has been touted as the most extensive railway project in Indonesia since its independence from the Dutch in 1945.
Urban railway exist in form of commuter rail in Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya. New mass rapid transit and light rail transit system are currently under construction in Jakarta and Palembang.
