Great Trinity Forest, The Pemberton Farm, Dallas, Texas
Late winter visit to the Pemberton Farm that borders the Great Trinity Forest in Dallas Texas. The farm is an historic site. Visited by President Sam Houston and his men on a treaty expedition with Indian Tribes in the 1840s. Also the site of the Beeman and John Neely Bryan homesteads in the 1800s. The spring and slough are free flowing year round. One of the only natural springs left in Dallas.

Underwater view of crawfish and minnows at Sam Houston's Historic Spring, also known as White Rock Spring and Big Spring located in the Great Trinity Forest Dallas, Texas. This ancient spring is one of the only free flowing natural springs left in Dallas County. Cold crystal clear water flows out of the bedrock perched aquifer in this pool. Surrounded by trees hundreds of years old, this spring has served man for thousands of years as evidenced by the arrowheads, flint tools and Native American burials that surround the spring site. President Sam Houston's treaty party camped on this spot 169 years ago in July of 1843. Pioneer families including John Neely Bryan and the Beemans lived on this site for many years.

4x4 atv driving tour through Dallas Great Trinity Forest. Old ranch road in the preserve goes through galleries of ancient post oaks, cactus lined meadows and hardwood bottomland habitat.
Riding with narration by awesome maintenance supervisor James Page of Dallas Parks & Recreation through McCommas Bluff Preserve to brainstorm ideas on remediation and habitat restoration of an illegally bulldozed area inside a nature preserve.

Places to see in ( Dallas - USA )
Dallas, a modern metropolis in north Texas, is a commercial and cultural hub of the region. Downtown’s Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza commemorates the site of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. In the Arts District, the Dallas Museum of Art and the Crow Collection of Asian Art cover thousands of years of art. The sleek Nasher Sculpture Center showcases contemporary sculpture.
Dallas is the largest and most populated city in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, which is also referred to as DFW, North Texas, or The Metroplex. Located in the north central portion of the state, The Metroplex is the most populated area in Texas. The City of Dallas by itself is the third most populated in the state behind Houston and San Antonio. DFW is home to the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, and you'll regularly be reminded of The Metroplex's mass enthusiasm for the team. With more shopping centers per capita than any other city in the US, Dallas is also known as a shopper's paradise.
Dallas is Texas' most mythical city, with a past and present rich in the stuff that American legends are made of. The 'Big D' is famous for its contributions to popular culture – notably the Cowboys and their cheerleaders, and Dallas, the TV series that once was a worldwide symbol of the USA. An upscale ethos makes for a vaunted dining and shopping scene, where the more conspicuous your consumption, the better.

TX Vacation Spots: Alamo, Lexington, Texas
Just some video of a few of the interesting things we went to on our vacation that I thought yall might enjoy.
Backpacking the Most Beautiful Spot in Texas - McKittirck Canyon
In Part 3 of my 3 part trip to Guadalupe Mountains National Park, I hike through The Most Beautiful Spot in Texas, McKittrick Canyon. I start in the desert near the mouth of the canyon and eventually make my way past the Pratt Lodge, the Grotto, the Hunter Line Shack, and up one of the hardest climbs in the state to McKittrick Ridge Campsite. The views from the top are breath taking. After reaching the campsite, I have now finished every trail at Guadalupe Mountains National Park.
It was a great way to end my trip in a place that is very special to me.
$36M To Fund 2 New Trails Connecting Fort Worth And Dallas

Protecting the Trinity
From water quality in our reservoirs to water quality in the Trinity River, the Tarrant Regional Water District is committed to keeping our watersheds clean. We know from experience that trying to clean up something is a whole lot harder than keeping it from getting polluted in the first place. And that's why we've created a program to deal with urban storm water. The goal is to reduce the level of pollutants flowing from new developments springing up along the Fort Worth Floodway. Here's how we're doing it...

Teddy Bear Park in Dallas, Texas!!!
Yes, there is a Teddy Bear Park in Dallas, Texas! It is located in Lakeside Park in the town of Highland Park. I have to admit the Teddy Bears are cute! The plaque states that Sculptures placed here for the town of Highland Park by the Harlan Crow Family. December 25, 1995. This is great art!
