Mesmerizing Phi Phi Islands Tours , Phuket, Thailand
If you visit Phuket /Thailand, your trip is not complete if you don't visit the Phi Phi Islands tours on powerboats. You can find shops in every corner selling the tour packages, make sure to bargain for a better deals.
Phi Phi islands are some of the loveliest in Southeast Asia. Just a 45-minute speedboat trip or a 90-minute ferryboat ride from either Phuket or Krabi, these picture postcard islands offer the ultimate tropical getaway. Featuring classic tropical beaches, stunning rock formations and vivid turquoise waters teeming with colourful marine life, it is paradise perfected. Phi Phi is a group of six islands.
The two main islands are Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. The larger and inhabited Phi Phi Don attracts hundreds of visitors to stay on its lovely shores while the smaller uninhabited Phi Phi Leh hosts stunningly beautiful bays and beaches, including the world-famous Maya Bay,
Maya Bay is a stunningly beautiful bay that's sheltered by 100-metre high cliffs on three sides. Inside the bay there are several beaches, most are small and some only exist at low tide. The main one is around 200 metres long with silky soft white sand, underwater colourful coral and exotic fish in exceptionally clear water; the whole bay is one big reef.
Maya Bay has become the main tourist attraction of Phi Phi since The Beach was filmed here in 1999. It was always very popular before the film but now people around the world who haven't even heard of Phi Phi have certainly heard of Maya Bay.
The best time to visit Maya Bay is between November and April during the high season when seas are calm and access to the bay is easy. Rough seas from May to October may hinder access but rarely deny entry. The bad news; as it's so beautiful and so well known many boats are required to ferry all the visitors in and out. On any given day at any time there will be 30 + speedboats and longtail boats on the beach, with large ferry boats carrying hundreds of snorkelers and sightseers moored in deeper water. Beautiful it is, secluded it isn't – thousands of people visit each day. Try to visit early in the morning or after 17:00 and you'll avoid the crowds. Please note that if you enter the bay on your own there is a National Park entry fee of 400 baht. This cost is included in the price of a tour.
The last part of the tour we stopped at Rang Yai Island which is a peaceful island lying about five kilometers off the east coast of Phuket. Its western side has a one-km long beach that is frequented in the afternoon by day trippers coming back from visiting the phi phi islands tours

KRABI TO PHI PHI ISLAND BY FERRY - THAILAND
#FERRY #KRABI #PHIPHIISLAND #HOW_TO_TRAVEL_KRABI_TO_PHIPHI
The Phi Phi islands are some of the loveliest in Southeast Asia.
Getting to Phi Phi Island is pretty easy. This group of six islands is located 46km from Phuket and roughly the same distance from Krabi. To get to Phi Phi, there are basically two options: ferries and speedboats.
The ferry is by far the most popular method of reaching the islands. Ferries take about two hours from Phuket and 90 minutes from Krabi or Koh Lanta. The main departure/arrival port in Phuket is Rassada Pier, located in Phuket Town. In Krabi, the main ferry pier is Klong Jirad Pier, situated just south of Krabi Town. The ferry terminal is a one-hour drive from Phuket Airport and Krabi's is 30 minutes from Krabi Airport. To get good seats you should arrive well in advance in high season or half an hour before departure in low season.
If you are travelling from Bangkok, you need to get to one of these two piers to catch a ferry to Phi Phi. Once you arrive at the airport or at the Bokoso (inter-city bus station), you’ll have to take a taxi or a local bus to get to the ferry terminal. Please have a look at the Phuket and Krabi ferry schedules beforehand, so you can plan your trip accordingly.
Ferry departure times from Krabi’s Klong Jilad Pier are 9am, 10.30am, 1.30pm, and 3pm. The only exception is that the 3pm ferry actually departs at 4pm on Fridays.
The ferry journey is approximately 1.5 hours and you’ll arrive at the Tonsai Pier on Ko Phi Phi Don, the largest of the Phi Phi Islands. From here it’s just a short walk to many different places to stay or dine.
You can book ferry tickets from here:

Speedboat from Krabi to Phi Phi
Private speedboat transfer is the next most popular way of getting to Phi Phi. Basically, it's a private charter of a speedboat, so departure and drop-off points are a little more flexible and you can go right up to the front of your chosen resort, which can save a lot of time. For most of the year the ride is flat, but it's advisable to avoid speedboats in low season (from September to November) as things can get a little bumpy. Obviously, speedboats are more expensive than the ferry, but they can represent excellent value for larger groups as the cost of the boat hire is divided.

THAILAND ISLANDS, BEAUTIFUL ISLANDS IN THAILAND, MAYA BAY, KOH PHI PHI, KO LIPE. KOH LIPE, LIPE,
Ko Lipe (Thai: เกาะหลีเป๊ะ) is a small island in the Adang-Rawi Archipelago of the Andaman Sea, in Satun Province of southwest Thailand, close to the Malaysian border. The Thai name is transliterated in many different ways into English. The most common names are Koh Lipe, Koh Lipeh, Ko Lipey, and Ko Lipe. Ko Lipe is on the border of the Tarutao National Marine Park and is directly south of the larger islands Ko Adang and Ko Rawi, and about 50 km from the island of Ko Tarutao. It was originally settled by a group of sea gypsies (chao leh in Thai), originally from Malaysia, known as the Urak Lawoi’ people. In high season (November to May) there are several locations from which you can take a ferry or speedboat to Ko Lipe, including: Pak Bara, Langkawi, Phi Phi, Ko Lanta, and Trang. In low season (May to October) the only way to get to Ko Lipe is by speedboat from Pak Bara.
From Langkawi, Malaysia there are two speedboats per day (from November until May). These boats dock at the south end of Pattaya Beach. Ferry services are also available but as there is no pier in Ko ay be transferred by local longtail boats to the beach. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. It is also recommended for travelers to book accommodation prior to travelling to Ko Lipe as it can be very crowded especially during the holiday periods and it will be difficult for travelers to go in and out of Ko Lipe.
Tourism[edit]
Ko Lipe has three main beaches: Sunset Beach (Hat Pramong), Sunrise Beach (Hat Chao Ley), and Pattaya Beach. Although, there has been growing trends in an upmarket resort, especially on Pattaya Beach,[3] the island is being preserved at its most natural state.
Regarding activities, there are many sites for scuba diving and snorkeling around Ko Lipe and its neighbouring islands. On Ko Lipe, there are many dive shops and resorts with equipment rental service. Taking boats trip is also popular among tourists, who have alternatives of choosing between private or joined boat trips.[The calm, clear water makes Ko Lipe ideal for snorkeling. There are large varieties of fish around the coral just a few meters deep straight off all of the beaches.
Environmental concerns[edit]
Ko Lipe is outside of Tarutao National Park jurisdiction, and as such is exempt from the laws and legislation that protect the rest of the national park. The Phi Phi Islands (Thai: หมู่เกาะพีพี, rtgs: Mu Ko Phiphi, pronounced [mùː kɔ̀ʔ pʰīː.pʰīː]) are in Thailand, between the large island of Phuket and the west Strait of Malacca coast of the mainland. The islands are administratively part of Krabi province. Ko Phi Phi Don (ko (Thai: เกาะ) meaning island in the Thai language) is the largest island of the group, and is the most populated island of the group, although the beaches of the second largest island, Ko Phi Phi Lee (or Ko Phi Phi Leh), are visited by many people as well. The rest of the islands in the group, including Bida Nok, Bida Noi, and Bamboo Island (Ko Mai Phai), are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The Islands are reachable by speedboats or Long-tail boats most often from Krabi Town or from various piers in Phuket Province.

Amazing Krabi, Thailand @ Hong Island 2018 part1.#amazingkrabi #amazingthailand
The Hong Islands are a small group of tropical Islands a short distance up the coast from Aonang.
Island hopping in Krabi is what puts Krabi at the top of the list of Thailand travel destinations.
The Andaman is dotted with hundreds of small Islands of various sizes. Most of them have limestone Karsts at the center making them really quite unique. The Karsts are limestone mountains that have been formed over millions of years as softer rock around the limestone is eroded creating gigantic pillars of stone. The karsts are coated with a thin layer of soil that allows thick vegetation to grow on top and on all but the steepests of cliff walls. The water is usually a perfect swimming temperature and the most beautiful colours you can imagine. The beaches are white sand beaches lined with trees.
The Hong Islands have National Park status which thankfully means there can be no development, no resorts and certainly no private beaches.
The Hong Islands
Hong is the Thai word for room, so literally translated, it means Room Island. There is a very good reason for this as right at its center is a lagoon completely surrounded by cliffs. The entrance to the lagoon is quite narrow making the whole experience quite spectacular. The longtail and speedboats pass right into the lagoon. (There are occasions where the tide is just too low though to enter the lagoon by boat, but this is quite a rare circumstance.) Water in the lagoon is at about waist height at low tide, and perfectly calm. The lagoon is surrounded by mangroves with their incredible root systems.
When you arrive you will be dropped at the Hong Island artificial pier before the boats tie up. Its just a short walk down the floating pier onto the beach. The section to the left of the pier is just for the boats and to the right is a 200 meter section of pleasant beach. But If you walk a bit further along, you get to a beautiful sheltered cove with perfect sand beach. Being so sheltered it's a great place to snorkel and there is always a good variety of small colorful fish. The beach is lined by trees providing plenty of shady places to sit back and marvel at the view.
Hong Island is world famous for its amazing beach. The BBC recently called this The Best beach in Asia and wrote a report about it. Click on the title to have a read.
The beach is protected on three sides by rock cliffs with just a narrow entrance to the open sea. This makes it a perfect place for beginners and non-swimmers to snorkel, you can just stand in the water and be surrounded by hundreds of fish, with a mask and snorkel, you can get a glimpse of the underwater world.
The Hong group of Islands is about 50 minutes longtail boat ride from Aonang or about 25 minutes by speedboat. The boat travels quite close to the shore giving a great view of the coastline.
The water around the Island is crystal clear and perfect for snorkelling and swimming. The shallows are full of colourful fish. Please be aware though that at low tide there is some quite sharp coral sticking out of the sand so you should be careful where you put your feet when snorkelling and swimming.
You can snorkel off the beach even if you cannot swim. Just wear the lifejacket provided by the boat and float and enjoy the view, or just stand in the waist deep water and admire the marine life.
The Speed boat tour to Hong Island is a perfect combination of exhilaration and relaxation. Speed across the Andaman Sea and then spend the day snorkeling and sightseeing. You will have a tour guide with you the whole time.
The Longtail version is a more sedate (but still noisy) trip, but the feel of being on a longtail really does add something to the atmosphere that should be experienced.
Please do help to keep the Islands beautiful by taking all litter away with you.
The Islands that make up the Hong Islands are:
Hong Island Lagoon - by boat right into the very heart of the Island to Hong Island's lagoon, an amazing lake with tree covered cliffs climbing up all around.
Hong Island Bay - beautiful beach with white sand, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The bay is sheltered from the sea meaning the water is very calm and clear with good visibility for snorkelling. You won't see many big fish in the bay, but you will see hundreds of smaller fish.
Lading Island - traditionally this was a place the locals came to collect the valuable vital ingredient for bird's nest soup. Now, its one of Krabi's most amazing sights. There is a small beach but the stop here is more about the amazing rock formations and caves which you can see here.
Pakbia Island - a labyrinth of caves eroded into the cliffs by the sea. There is a small but very nice beach on Pakbia, on one side of the Island there is a rocky section in the beach shallows which is another great place for snorkelling and getting to see some fish. On the side with the boats parking, there is a longish beach with trees along the edge. Here is a great palce to just lie back and relax.

Patong Beach Phuket, Thailand
Patong Beach Phuket, Thailand
Patong is a beach resort town on the west coast of Phuket Island, facing the Andaman Sea in the southwest of Thailand. Its sandy, a crescent beach is lined with cafes, restaurants, and bars. The famously raucous nightlife scene features beer bars, go-go bars, nightclubs, massage parlors and cabarets that overflow into the street along neon-lit Bangla Road and in the Patong OTOP Shopping Paradise complex.
Patong Beach Phuket is known for its nightlife and 2850 meters beach that runs the entire length of Patong's west side. Nightlife is centered in two main areas, Bangla Road and the Paradise Complex, with Bangla Road being predominantly straight and Paradise Complex gay. Both are lined with many bars, discotheques, and go-go bars. Prostitution in Thailand is illegal, but tolerated, as is the case in Patong.
On 26 December 2004, Patong Beach Phuket along with many other areas along the west coast of Phuket and Thailand were struck by a tsunami caused by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. The wave caused a great deal of destruction to the waterfront of the beach and immediately inland and only one woman was killed in a basement seafront grocery store. Patong was one of the worst affected areas of Phuket, although the destruction was not as bad as nearby Khao Lak. Patong has largely recovered since the tsunami.
As of 2015, the waters of Patong Beach Phuket exceeded Thai Pollution Control Department standards for fecal coliform bacteria (FCB) and enterococci bacteria.[2]:60 To avoid paying the municipal wastewater treatment fee of five baht per cubic meter, many households discharge their wastewater untreated into canals and the sea. Patong also has limited capacity to treat wastewater. The municipal wastewater treatment plant is nearing its capacity of 28,000 m3 a day. An upgrade is operational in 2018 which will increase capacity by an extra 9,000 m3 per day.
WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT PATONG Beach Phuket:
~ Phuket's most exciting nightlife.
~ Great shopping opportunities.
~ Lots of interesting things to see and do.
~ Massive choice of restaurants Beautiful nearby beaches.
WHAT IS LESS GOOD in PATONG Beach Phuket:
~ Always busy
~ Nightlife can be a little extreme and overwhelming
~ Not many traditional Thai touches

Rayavadee Hotel: Hotels in Krabi, Thailand
Rayavadee's setting at the heart of a stunning peninsula on the edge of Krabi National Marine Park blends lush foliage, limestone cliffs, three beaches and the emerald waters of the Andaman Sea, offering visitors an unforgettable holiday experience that combines natural beauty with the resort's unique brand of understated luxury.
The resort has 98 enchanting two-story pavilions, some with private
gardens, hydro-pools and jacuzzis and 4 beachfront villas spread over 26 acres of coconut groves. Its award winning architecture and tropical landscapes were inspired by the atmosphere of a southern Thai village, while the pavilions' spacious interiors and décor provide unsurpassed comfort for highly discerning guests.
Krabi province is located on the Andaman coast 800 kilometers south of Bangkok and is blessed with picturesque fishing villages, sandy beaches, and crystal clear waters. Just a two-hour drive from Phuket International Airport, Krabi still feels a world apart from the crowded beaches and resorts of its more famous island neighbour. The recent opening of Krabi International Airport with numerous daily flights from Bangkok have made access to the area's resorts easy and straightforward.
Krabi Town itself is relatively small with most people earning their living from farming and fishing or from tourism. Local residents are friendly and always ready to welcome visitors with their warm hospitality.
