My name is Dennis. In 2009, I opened this channel to record or document this city. I know something is being changed in next decade(s), or I felt the change have began since 2003, no later in 2046. I want to, at least, save some kind of city life in video form instead of taken photo or written in words. I strongly believe that motion picture and sound recording are much better way to preserve and present in the future when young generation want to get know of Hong Kong.
In May of 2018, I wrote the following statement in below:
.....................................................................................
Hi everyone, thank you for supporting me in fulfilling my childhood dream of making videos.
My parents had always taken a tolerant attitude toward my “capricious”: whether my work is feasible and sustainable... and they never complained about it.
As my father just passed away in May, I am left with no choice but to give up my video making venture.
In Hong Kong where the cost of living is sky high, youtube video making is simply not sustainable by google adsense alone. The revenue produced is way too insufficient for affording a domestic helper, and I must look after my mom all by myself - this is why I must stay very close to her at all times.
Unless my revenue is closed to market rate, or my income can cover a domestic helper, otherwise I can hardly justify any video-related works.
Therefore, from now on everything video will be postponed in terms of year(s).
Thank you, and hope to see you all again in the future.
..............................................................
Because I am the only son of my mother in Hong Kong, and I have to take care of her at home. I almost give up this channel because of high consumption of time and living cost. But I found some extra time.
I live in Fanling, north part of New Territories, so it will include my showtime of traveling back and forth. Because of home care to my old mother, there will be no time other than 9:00 to 16:00 because my mother is staying at the senior daycare center, so before and after that, I will NOT able to do filming.
I understand most of you are looking for high quality of video, e.g. 4K or 8K. But hardware is so important at this post-production, that is, the higher quality video, the higher powerful computer to render video. In recently, I solved matter by paid for PowerDirector apps to make 4K on my Pocophone F1, 1 hour of 4K video = 2 hour to make, besides, the convert 4K file time is around 24 hours......
I will continue to run this channel as long as the time is fit-on-me or I don't see any kind of video job could fit me.
I hope this is clear to everyone.

Sha Tin Wai, Walled Village, Tsang Tai Uk (曾大屋)
Tsang Tai Uk (曾大屋), Shatin Wai Walled Village,
also known as Shan Ha Wai, is another well-known Hakka walled village in Hong Kong, and one of the best preserved.
It is located close to the south of the Pok Hong Estate, not far from the Lion Rock Tunnel Road.
Built in the 1840s, it was constructed in 1848 as a stronghold for the Tsang Clan.
It is a preserved Hakka fortified village in Sha Tin.
It is said to have taken 20 years to build the village.
The village is built with granite, grey bricks and solid timber.

Sha Tin Day Trip | Hong Kong Vlog #05
Che Kung Temple (車公廟) and Tsang Tai Uk (曾大屋).
Che Kung was a military commander during the Southern Song dynasty (1127–1279). The original temple was built around 300 years ago, and what you see in the video was built in 1993. Apparently, the temple was originally built to stop an epidemic, and on the day construction was completed, the epidemic started to wane.
Tsang Tai Uk is the best preserved Hakka Walled Village in Hong Kong. It was built between 1847 and 1867, and was originally called Shan Ha Wai. It is a grade I historical building.
If you're in Sha Tin, you can also visit the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery (萬佛寺). I visited last time I was in Hong Kong, so I didn't go this time. Comment below if you want to see photos!

香港漫遊 沙田萬佛寺(Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery, Hong Kong) -- 20180307
香港漫遊 沙田萬佛寺(Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery, Hong Kong)
2018年3月7日 -- 萬佛寺 香港新界沙田排頭村221號
影片拍攝 Ngan Piu

GK ■/99/ South China AA ▶︎HK no. 2 ■ Highlight 2016/2017■ [HD]
Name in home country: 曾文輝
Date of birth: Aug 2, 1991
Age: 25
Height: 1,79m
Nationality: Hongkong
Position: Goalkeeper
Current club: South China AA
Unquestionably the best goalie in HK second to Hung-Fai Yapp. He is probably the best player in SCAA this season, started in 12 matches and only conceded 13 goals. Not a tall player in goalkeeper standard, but his agility and unhuman reflex countered his height deficit. Although often time overshadowed by Yapp's fame and showmanship, but by no mean Tsang Man-Fai is a lesser stopper of the two.

STORYLINE:
Hong Kong leader Donald Tsang proposed measures to improve the economy in the annual policy address on Wednesday.
In a speech to the Legislative Council the chief executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) announced that the standard rate of salaries tax would be reduced to 15 percent in 2008-09.
The Hong Kong leader also announced a cut to profit tax.
Given the significance of profits tax on the Government's revenue, I intend to adopt a prudent approach by initially offering a one percentage point cut to 16.5% in 2008-09, said Tsang in his first policy address since he was re-elected as HKSAR chief executive in March 2007.
The measures will cost the government about five (b) billion HK dollars (645 (m) million US dollars) annually, Tsang said, adding that the government would consider further profits tax relief if the economy remained robust and public finances stay sound.
Tsang said the tax cuts were to fulfil pledges made during his election campaign when he promised if he was re-elected he would provide tax relief, including gradually lowering salaries tax and profits tax rates to 15 percent, if fiscal conditions allow.
Tsang's policy address came on the same day a three-month consultation period on political reform ended.
The Hong Kong leader did not provide new initiatives to advance the city's democratic development, saying his administration would collate and summarise the public views received before reporting them to Beijing.
Within the third term of the government I will try my utmost to forget a consensus on the implementation of universal suffrage in accordance with the Basic Law and strive to secure the Central Authorities' trust and understanding for its early implementation, said Tsang.
Thousands of people took to the streets of Hong Kong on Sunday to demand the right to chose their leader and the entire legislature in 2012.
Currently the 800-member election committee, considered partial to Beijing, selects the leader.

Hong Kong Is Testing Smart Prisons
The world’s smartest prison is now being tested at three correctional facilities in Hong Kong.
Digital Trends reports the prison system includes tracking wristbands and drug-detecting robots.
Hong Kong has a plan to make all such correctional institutes into “smart prisons, if the test is successful.
The smart wristbands will track inmates' location and heart rates and alert staff if one becomes irregular.
If they try to remove the wristband, it will trigger an alarm.
Another new gadget being tested is an A.I.-augmented video surveillance system, designed to detect certain behaviors in cells including fighting.
Another gadget is a robot whose purpose is to look for drugs in feces.

Hong Kong Prison Inmates Make Face Masks for Infectious Diseases.
Female inmates of Lo Wu Correctional Institution are seen manufacturing face masks to protect against infectious dieseases, Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong, 03 May 2013. The Hong Kong government Correctional Services Department (CSD) is ready to step up the production of face masks and isolation gowns in light of the continued spread of infuenza A(H7N9), or avian flu, on the Chinese mainland. The prison currently manufactures 50,000 face masks per day, and is sitting on a three month stockpile. According to Lam Tin-yau, Superintendant (Industries Unit 3) of CSD, the prison can ramp up production to 60,000 face masks per week, if necessary, by increasing overtime for inmates, and by working on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Inmates work for six hours a day in the workshop, and earn between HK$20.00 (US$2.60) to HK$120 (US$15.50) per week, according to their pay scale. The prison supplies every public hospital and public health worker in Hong Kong with their face masks and isolation gowns needs.
