After a relatively peaceful Saturday, black-clad protesters were out on the streets again, with some holding demonstrations in shopping malls. In Tsuen Wan, riot police entered a shopping mall and fired multiple rounds of tear gas outside to disperse the crowd.

Thousands of protesters gathered at Tsuen Wan in Kowloon, making paper cranes in a form of peaceful protest after a Hong Kong demonstrator was shot in the chest at close range by police on Tuesday.
Hong Kong police said on Wednesday that the protester who was shot in the chest at close range was posing a serious threat to police officers.
Deputy Commissioner, Tang Ping-keung, defended the use of force by the police officer who opened fire, saying he feared for his life and that of his colleague.
He called the officer's actions lawful and reasonable.
The shooting Tuesday during widespread anti-government demonstrations on China's National Day marked a fearsome escalation in Hong Kong's protest violence.
The 18-year-old is the first known victim of police gunfire since the protests began in June.
His condition in the hospital was described by the government as stable on Wednesday.

A citywide strike in Hong Kong against the now-shelved extradition bill led to an unprecedented citywide rampage with violence in multiple districts on August 5, 2019.
One violent incident played out in Tsuen Wan, a town in the Western New Territories, where a white-clad group got into fights with protesters at around 11pm.
People on both sides of the conflict were injured, including some with deep lacerations and bloody injuries.

A protester was hit in the chest by a live round fired by police in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong as China celebrated the 70 years of Communist rule, South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on Tuesday, citing an unnamed source.

Tsuen Wan Plaza (Chinese: 荃灣廣場) is a private housing estate and shopping mall in Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong, located near the MTR Tsuen Wan West Station, Tsuen Wan Ferry Pier, Nina Tower, Skyline Plaza, Citywalk and Citywalk 2. It is one of the largest shopping malls in the district. Built on the reclaimed land of the old Tsuen Wan Ferry Pier, it was developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties in 1992. A large-scale renovation was completed from 2005 to 2009.
There are a wide variety of retail shops in the plaza, including a Yata department store replacing the former JUSCO which moved to the nearby Skyline Plaza. Tsuen Wan Plaza also has a variety of restaurants and leisure and entertainment facilities including a Broadway Circuit cinema and a 23,000-square-foot (2,100 m2) outdoor children's playground.
