Tumwater Vlog 2017 | Olympia WA | Tumwater Falls WA
Tumwater Falls was the site of New Market, the first European settlement in Western Washington. It was also the site of the now-defunct Olympia Brewing Company.
Olympia Light and Power Company constructed a dam and a hydroelectric power plant at the falls in 1890, a decade before the Snoqualmie Falls powerplant outside Seattle.
The plant powered an Olympia–Tumwater streetcar, among other things. A dam at 82 feet (25 m) above sea level.

Visiting Capitol Lake /Heritage Park In Washington State!
Capitol Lake is a 3 kilometer long, 260acre artificial lake at the mouth of Deschutes River in Tumwater/Olympia, Washington. The Olympia Brewery sits on Capitol Lake in Tumwater, just downstream from where the Tumwater Falls meet the lake. The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) manages the lake, as part of The Washington State Capitol Campus.

I stopped at Safeway to buy the expired fried chicken at a discount. I regret making that choice. Sorry about wasting Food Stamps on it.
Meanwhile in Tumwater WA...
More crummy weather made the Deschutes River floodtastic in down town Tumwater WA. With all of the rain we get you wouldn't think that people would find a flood that fascinating, but they sure do...

River, Creeks, and Waterfalls in Washington
This is a sample project that I have been working on over the 2013 summer. The project was to give you a video to play on any TV or computer for a calming effect. This was a simple project that is still in work.
Drive: Arcadia to Tumwater, Washington; Missed turns and stopped near Custer St
For a while, Google Maps was able to track me, but then it stopped and at that point I was relying on it too closely. I ended up missing some turns and stopped somewhere I wasn't too enthused about -not far from the old Olympia Brewery building. Navigation is tougher when you work with free services and methods. Plus everyone else around me likes to stress me out when I drive a little slower or stop at an intersection too long.

Bail set at $75,000 for Olympia man accused of shooting homeless camper
OLYMPIA — Bail was set at $75,000 for a 46-year-old man accused of first-degree assault in the shooting of a homeless camper on May 30 in Olympia.
Robert Kortokrax, a Thurston County Superior Court commissioners, set bail for Robert Eugene Millett after hearing arguments from the prosecutor’s office and his public defender, Brian Gerhardt.
Gerhardt asked for $15,000 bail, saying he did “not see a likely failure to appear” before the court for Millett’s June 18 superior court arraignment.
Thurston County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Joseph Wheeler argued for $75,000 bail based on Millett’s criminal history of first-degree robbery, saying it was a three-strikes offense along with the shooting. Under state law, a defendant can receive life in prison for three felony convictions involving a deadly weapon.
Deputy prosecutor Wheeler called Millett incredibly dangerous for using a gun when he was not allowed to possess one because of a previous felony conviction.
“We’re dealing with someone who is incredibly danger, who’s armed with a weapon when he’s not even allowed to have a weapon, and he’s shooting people with it,” Wheeler said.
The probable cause document that Olympia Police detectives presented to the district attorney’s office states that Millett, after a brief confrontation with the homeless victim, was witnessed by others to have shot the victim once in the stomach with a .22-caliber revolver. The victim is in serious condition, recovering at Providence St. Peter hospital in Olympia.
Kortokrax, agreeing with the deputy prosecutor, ordered that Millett not come in contact with the victim and a woman who also witnessed the shooting.
