We cycled our way to the scenic Turahalli Forest in Bangalore . It was an amazing experience riding with the community riders of the Decathlon fun riders group.

You would be surprised that a place like this within Bangalore exists. Turahalli Forest, little patch of green lesser known forest, and also protected region at a distance of 6 KM from nearest metro station, Yellachanahalli. The forest is free from traffic, pollution, noise and even people . Come with your family friends go for a hike, run, jog or just spend quite time away from all the hectic things associated with Bangalore.

The Turahalli Forest or Turahalli Park is a dry and deciduous forest. It is located about 20 km from Bengaluru off Kanakapura Road. Its 13 km from Banashankari and can be overseen from the NICE road. Entry inside the park has been banned for vehicles, however, it has become a hot spot for cyclists.
It has a nice view and a small temple on top of a rocky hill. As of today, Turahalli forest is said to be Bengaluru's only surviving forest.
Rocks in the forest provide one of the few outdoor bouldering opportunities to the cities residents and have multiple established routes.
This video is of our visit to Turahalli Forest in Bangalore. It was an awesome morning ride to the Forest with less crowd on Bangalore Roads. I must tell you guys Bangalore looks really beautiful in morning with no crowd and traffic jams. With my Hercules Roadeo A75 & My Gopro we rush towards the forest before the sunlight. If you are cyclist this is a journey you would love to the place and riding inside the forest.

The Turahalli Forest or Turahalli Park is a dry and deciduous forest. It is located about 20 km from Bengaluru off Kanakapura Road. It is 13 km from Banashankari and can be overseen from the NICE road. Entry inside the park has been banned for vehicles, however, it has become a hot spot for cyclists.
It has a nice view and a small Shani temple on top of a rocky hill. As of today, Turahalli forest is said to be Bengaluru's only surviving forest.
Rocks in the forest provide one of the few outdoor bouldering opportunities to the cities residents and have multiple established routes.
Avalahalli Forest is located towards the northern corner of Bangalore in already a green neighborhood of Yelahanka. The forest is home to several species of flora, fauna and birds and is Majorly covered by Eucalyptus trees and the other part is quite rocky and dry. The place offers you a beautiful hill-top view of the Hesaraghatta region.
With gentle climbs and tumbles, this hidden forest is the ideal location to learn the tricks of mountain biking. Sprawled across 34 acres, the park is now also a favourite with runners and Sunday picnickers for its generous green cover and easy connectivity to Hennur Main Road.
Hesaraghatta Lake is a manmade reservoir located 18 km to the north-west of Bengaluru in Karnataka state, India. It is a fresh water lake created in the year 1894 across the Arkavathy River to meet the drinking water needs of the city.

Turahalli, in Bengaluru, is a mini-forest within the concrete jungle of the city. This is a short Sunday ride into the forest, full of hard pedaling, lots of love and a cheat-meal afterwards! We also happened to meet Dikshant, who's new to the city and ended up at the forest on a rented cycle. Thanks mate for bearing with our videography antics!

It is located about 20 km from Bengaluru off Kanakapura Road. Turahalli offers excellent biking trails. It is also among the few places within the city for natural rock climbing in addition to Avathi and Raogodlu. Rocks are granite, with various sizes and shapes. Many climbers practice regularly, in preparation for local or international competitions. Entry inside the park has been banned for vehicles, however, it has become a hot spot for cyclists.
