Great West Coast Road Trip Stop in Redding to see the Sundial Bridge & Turtle Bay Park
The Sundial Bridge & Turtle Bay Exploration Park is rightfully one of the biggest attractions in the small city of Redding, CA. This alone makes Redding a great stop to consider on your next West Coast road trip.
The Sundial Bridge is an architectural marvel that opened in 2004. It's a pedestrian and bike bridge connecting you to the expansive trails in Turtle Bay Park.
In my recent Seattle to LA road trip in which I saw 6 sporting events, I made a stop in Redding, CA on the way to LA and on the way back to Seattle. The Sundial Bridge was a highlight - so much so that I had to commemorate the experience with a $13 mug from the Sundial bridge gift shop.
For ideas and insights on a whole lot more stops on your next west coast road trip, I put together an extensive post from my 11 day Seattle to LA road trip here:
In the post I cover the following & much more:
6 sporting event experiences:
Sacramento Kings game at Golden 1 Center
Golden State Warriors Game at Oracle Arena
UCLA Basketball game at Pauley Pavillion
LA Rams game at the Coliseum
LA Lakers game at Staples Center
Taylormade Invitational at Pebble Beach
Plus...tips and insights on the following cities that I stopped in:
Redding, CA
Sacramento
San Francisco
Oakland
Los Angeles
Santa Barbara
SLO
Carmel-by-the-Sea
Monterey
