Cod in Denmark aren't always an easy target spearfishing... Crazy thermocline + Giveaway winner!
I took my dive gear on a quick work trip for one night to Denmark from London. Last time I went diving here the water was 3ºC and hardly any fish. A few months later I decided to take my speargun and see if I could get one of the famous Danish cod for a catch clean cook. Previous experiences in Denmark spearfishing lead me to believe this would be a fairly simple task however in this location they were much smarter than cod I have seen on the other side of the country. Also the winner of the mask giveaway is announced so if you are that lucky person shoot me a DM on instagram to claim your prize.

Denmark shootings: suspect gunned down by police hours after killings at Copenhagen synagogue
A 22-year-old Danish-born man was shot dead by police on Sunday after he was suspected of opening fire at an event promoting free speech and killing two people at a Copenhagen synagogue over the weekend.
Police said his actions may have been inspired by the attack on the French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo.
Local media outlets are reporting the gunman’s identity as Omar El-Hussein, but this has not been confirmed. However, spy chief Jens Madsen said the gunman was known to intelligence services before the shootings took place. Police said he had a record of violence, gang-related activities and weapons possession.
A synagogue guard and a filmmaker were the two people who were killed at the synagogue, while five police were wounded in the two separate attacks in Copenhagen Saturday and Sunday.
According to witnesses, the gunman fired up to 40 shots at a cafe hosting a free speech event with Swedish artist Lars Vilks. He then went to a nearby synagogue where a young girl's confirmation was taking place and gunned down a guard there.

Copenhagen Top Attractions - RTW Day 32 - Two Minute Travel
An action packed day of sightseeing in Copenhagen! When you've only got one full day in a country, you get pretty good at planning your day.
The first thing we saw was Christiania, a commune in Copenhagen. This is where all the arty and alternative people in Copenhagen go. They had a problem with drug pushers a while ago, and when walking around you could still smell weed in the air. There were three rules to the place:
Have fun
Don’t run – it causes panic
No photos – buying and selling hash is still illegal.
There were a few dodgy looking people with dogs around, yet, a school class was going on a tour of the place, so Kathryn felt safe.
We then walked to Amalienborg Palace to see the changing of the guard. If you've ever seen a changing of a guard before, or heard an army band, well, you'll know what to expect. The nice thing about the event was how friendly the Police were. They were joking with the crowd, one said “I ordered the weather for 20 degrees today, and I got 3 degrees instead, but what can you do?”, which was amusing. They were all armed with guns.
We then did a bit of shopping in Copenhagen. Kathryn has a bit of a crush on Scandinavian design, which helps fund Good As Gold shop in Wellington. Well, Copenhagen was her style mecca, and every other store was full of beautiful, well designed, clothes or furniture. Of course, the prices were well … well thought out. I saw a couch for $10,000. Was a plain couch, no fancy electronics or reclining in this one.
A few hundred dollars later, we thought we’d grab a bite to eat. I paid $9 for 500ml of Pepsi Max. That’s a bit steep.
Then it was time to do a canal tour. The lady running the tour was really lovely, so nice, really knowledgeable, and about the only thing in Copenhagen that was reasonably priced, at $15 for an hour’s tour. We saw the Little Mermaid, which was a statue of a Little Mermaid given to Copenhagen by Carlsberg back in 1913. It’s head has been cut off twice now, which seems a bit weird. Who’d want to steal the head of a little mermaid?
Finally, we did a tour of the Copenhagen christmas markets. They were a little smaller (like 10x) than the Berlin markets, though I did see Mulled Wine, and you could pay extra for a shot. Never saw that in Germany. We bought some Alpaca socks, since it’s literally silly cold. And that’s it for Denmark, see you tomorrow Sweden.

World Santa Claus Congress Copenhagen - Julemandskongres Dyrhavsbakken - Copenhagen Travel Vlog
Copenhagen Travel Vlog. We visited Dyrehavsbakken (Bakken), the worlds oldest amusement Park located in Klampenborg a town just outside of Copenhagen, Denmark. The purpose of the visit was to attend and film some of the start of the World Santa Congress Copenhagen (Julemandskongres Dyrhavsbakken) which has been taking place at the amusement park, during July, since 1957. The purpose of this Santa Claus Congress is for Santa´s (Father Christmas) from all over the world to meet up and spread good Christmas cheer, have fun and socialize with their peers. This footage focuses on the Santa´s who have been members for two years and therefore have earned their own tree stump chair!
The World Santa Claus Congress (WSCC) describes the purpose of the event as follows, The World Santa Claus Congress at Bakken is both a professional forum and social meeting place for real Santa's from all around the world. The Santa's from around the world have the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences and to network. The World Santa Claus Congress also provides a chance to promote the Santa Clause trade and show how Christmas cheer is done in different parts of the world...
The World Santa Claus Congress was founded in the middle of the last century by Professor Tribini, an entertainer at Bakken. Professor Tribini did not believe that Christmas should only happen once a year, and therefor since Santa Claus is so busy in December he created Christmas in July an annual event, which every year attracts hundreds of Santa's, female and male Christmas pixies, elves and many thousands of spectators.
The event is organized by Dyrehavsbakken (Bakken) in close partnership with the Danish Santa Claus Guild (Dansk Julemands Laug).
The Congress is finding place at Bakken, the world’s oldest and Denmark’s most amusing amusement park.
Dyrhavsbakken write about themselves, The worlds oldest amusement park, founded in 1583, Bakken, or Dyrehavsbakken as it is officially named, has been a firm favorite with the people of Copenhagen for centuries. During summertime families, young couples and seniors alike flock to the amusement park and the surrounding woodland to indulge in a day of fun. With a unique position in the middle of one of Denmark’s most beautiful woods, it is like encountering a surprise in the middle of the greenery. The park offers a prefect blend of children’s amusements, restaurants, pubs and bars with entertainment and live music. It’s is not just a small children’s amusement park but a place of leisure for the whole family. Because of its historic value and unique location, no big brands are allowed to set up stands at Bakken and neon signs are banned. Instead a jumble of colourful wooden structures, small independent shop owners and quirky stalls meets visitors.
This 4K Footage is Filmed with a Panasonic HC-VX870 4K Camcorder at the annual World Santa Claus Congress (Julemandskongres Dyrhavsbakken), which takes place at the worlds oldest amusement park Dyrehavsbakken (Bakken) located just outside of Copenhagen in Denmark (Scandinavia).
Panasonic writes about the HC-VX870, Capture your vision in 4K video - Elevate your creativity with 4K video. Enjoy greater detail, HDR exposure and improved camera control with Level Shot Function and 5-Axis Hybrid O.I.S.+.

#royalfamily #royalresume #royalcareer
From journalists to marketing executives, some of the world's most regal royals had colourful and ambitious careers before finding love with a prince or princess.
Here, we take a closer look at the lives of royals before they married into monarchies.
Queen Letizia of Spain
Born: Letizia Ortiz
Royal love: King Felipe VI of Spain
Spain's future queen was once a highly respected journalist. Her dedication to news even took her to the frontlines of the Irq wr. It was during a work visit to northern Spain in 2002 that the Spanish beauty caught the eye of her now-husband.
Princess Mary of Denmark

Royal love: Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark
Mary, who was born and raised in Australia, received a degree in commerce and law at the University of Tasmania before completing a graduate degree in advertising. She climbed the ranks within the advertising community before that fateful day in 2000 when she bumped into Prince Frederik and her life changed forever.

Prince Daniel of Sweden
Born: Olof Daniel Westling

In his high school years, the future prince worked at retirement residences during his summer breaks before moving into sports leadership. That Time I Pissed Off to Denmark: Part 2
If you enjoyed part one then I'm sure you'll get a kick out of this one. Part two not only exists to bring my Danish semester to a close, but to more importantly document those memories and those people I cared about more than they ever knew.
If you'd watched part one, you'd know by now that I'm clearly awesome and that these aren't travel videos by any means. Like I've said, any part that's at all informative, well-produced, or entertaining is a happy-accident. And if at any point that is the case, then that warms my heart all the same.
As an aside: If anyone's interested, I went to Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole, or the Danish School of Media and Journalism. Also, it's awr-hoose, not are-hooz, and I used a bit of TV2 footage to help a section along (really tried not to).

Danish zoo kills healthy giraffe, feeds to lions to prevent 'inbreeding'
Marius the giraffe killed and fed to lions at Copenhagen Zoo: Those cuddly, compassionate and progressive Scandinavians who love Mother Earth are doing a pretty good job of making themselves look more their viking ancestors with the news that Denmark's Copenhagen Zoo killed and butchered 2-year-old Marius, a young healthy giraffe whose only crime was having the wrong genes.
Taking advice from the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, it did did this to prevent inbreeding as the zoo's giraffe breeding program already has enough animals with similar genes, administrators say.
Their elegant solution? Zookeepers used a high-pressure bolt gun to the juvenile giraffe's head, killing him. Some of the meat was then fed to the zoo's lions.
The story has generated vast media coverage mainly for the fact that a 20,000-strong petition to save the animal was ignored and the knowledge that Copenhagen zoo also turned down adoption requests from other zoos and an offer of half-a-million euro purchase offer from one individual.

Denmark giraffe controversy: Second zoo plans to kill giraffe called Marius
Mere days after the grim, public death of an 18-month-old giraffe named Marius at a zoo in Denmark's capital, a second Danish zoo has announced that it may too put down one of its giraffes, according to Danish news agency Ritzau.
Animals lovers the world over reacted in outrage on Sunday after Copenhagen Zoo slaughtered a healthy young giraffe and carried out a gruesome public dissection for all to see.
The Danish Jyllands Park Zoo, located in western Denmark said on Wednesday that if it goes ahead with plans to acquire a female giraffe it will have to put down one of its two male giraffes, a seven-year-old, coincidentally also named Marius.
A representative for the institution, which also has a younger male called Elmer, told local media that killing surplus animals is not an uncommon practice in Danish zoos.
The zoo has sadly not yet ruled out the possibility of carrying out a public dissection similar to the one in Copenhagen.

Danish Women: #Dating rules in Denmark and Scandinavia
How to Date Danish Women (Dating tips from
Today’s topic is how to date Danish women. The primary challenge when it comes to dating Danish
women is getting them to talk to you. Obviously, if you are meeting Danes online, this will not be a huge
challenge but if you plan to travel and meet women in person, the usual ‘spark a conversation in a
coffee shop’ or ‘buy her a drink at the bar’ will get you nowhere. Danish women talk to people they
know and are quite uncomfortable around strangers. Therefore, you have to get yourself into her inner
circle instead. The easiest way is to strike up a conversation with one of the guys in the group as your
way in. Then, use your charms on the girl you have your eye on.

Once the doors of communication are open, be flirty. Danish men are not that great at flirting so doing it
well will get you far. Show off your personality, make her smile and most importantly, let her know
you’re interested. If she seems receptive, ask her out on a date.
When on the date, the usual ‘get to know you’ conversation topics are just fine but whatever you do, do
NOT talk about how much money you make. Danish women do not care. In fact, they loathe men who
lead with their money. Money and power aren’t important in Danish society. What does matter is
spending time with loved ones so if you’re big on friends and family, share that.

most since there isn’t much pressure to make intentions clear or decide if she’s the woman you want to

and see where things go.
Overall, learning how to date Danish women is easy. Once you have an in, keep things light and go with
the flow. You’ll have a beautiful Danish woman on your arm soon enough.
