Shopping in Bali Indonesia is shocking experience we had of course from bargaining, Balinese vendor reaction and how cheap it is - This is the Ultimate Guide On shopping in Bali (with prices !! of course ) We spent one day exploring the Ubud Market in Bali, together with Sukawati market which is not far from Ubud art market at all. This is our first time shopping in Bali and It was a great shopping experience I hope you enjoy it!
SHOPPING IN UBUD :
The Ubud Art Market, locally referred to as 'Pasar Seni Ubud' is located opposite the Puri Saren Royal Ubud Palace and is open daily. Here you can find beautiful silk scarves, lightweight shirts, handmade woven bags, baskets or hats; statues, kites, and many other hand-crafted goods. Most of the goods found at the Ubud Market are made in the neighboring villages of Pengosekan, Tegallalang, Payangan, and Peliatan. The location of the Ubud Art Market which is centered among the art producing villages, and being just opposite the royal palace which is a center point to Ubud itself, make it a strategic shopping place for Balinese handicrafts and souvenirs. The Ubud market also serves as a setting for the Hollywood movie Eat Pray Love, which shows a scene where actress Julia Roberts opposite a male character strolling through the stalls which are frequently visited by foreign and domestic visitors in real life. Naturally, bargaining is essential.

Tip: start very early to be able to go to a lot of spots! We started at 11am (a bit late hehehe) but we went to the following spots:
1. Pak Man - famous palm reader/healer (unfortunately, he won't be available till next week. Better set an appointment beforehand)
2. Alas Harum - get your ID for free; IDR50,000.00 for a cup of Luwak Coffee, free taste of all their teas and coffee.
IDR200,000.00 for the SUPER EXTREME SWING experience - nakakaloka tong experience na to.
*So many photo spots at Alas Harum, so make sure you go down the terraces!
FREE WATER IS GIVEN AT THE VENUE.
IDR100,000.00 for 2 photo print-outs. There is also an 'email to me' option'
**we ate at a local food house, paid IDR85,000.00 for 2 meals + 1 water + 1 orange drink (THE FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD!!!!)
3. MONKEY FOREST - entrance of IDR50,000.00 *no need to pay for Yanick, his entrance is free because he's a tourguide! :)

5. UBUD MARKET - expenses: (MAKE SURE YOU HAGGLE, I'll do better with my haggling today hahaha)

Ubud Market. It's pretty awesome and at the very least, a nice wander.
With this one I wanted to try and capture the sights and sounds without too much blah, blah, blah from me.

So this weekend me and Amanda my friend, out for a day trip to Ubud. its like 1 hour drive from my house. She drove as I am still trying to recover my knee.
my budget is only Rp 500.000 to buy some items that I need and of course I will also but something that I dont need.. I am just a normal woman hahhahhaha.. but I manage to only over my budget a little bit. there are so many nice things that I wanted to have and to buy.. especially for the house decor materials.
I need to come back here though, but next time will be about the cultural things, I may visit I Ketut Lier, the guy in Eat Pray Love Movie .
