Ulriken Cable Car in Bergen / Ulriksbanen
Bergen is surrounded by 7 mountains. Mount Ulriken is the highest at 643 meters above sea level. At Ulriken you can enjoy the spectacular view of Bergen and the surrounding fjords and islands.
During the summer half of the year you can take the Ulriken Express bus from the city center to the Ulriken Cable car. During winter you can take a local bus.
On top of Mount Ulriken there is a restaurant which offers local food with a modern twist! It is really worth a visit and popular amongst locals and visitors!
On top you can also try the cool Zipline! It is one of the fastest in Norway and lots of fun!

Non più arrampicamenti su sentieri pericolosi e non più arrampicamenti su ferriere malandate. Oggi fare una escursione a piedi sulla cima del Monte Ulriken, è più o meno alla portata di tutti, basta solo riposarsi su uno dei grandi scalini quando si è stanchi!

Oppstemten is the name of the new path just finished a few weeks ago by the Sherpas, people of Nepal strong enough and specialist to create stairways in the mountains, taking boulders from the mountain only with common hand tools, something no one in the world could do. Here is a link to see them in action:
No more climbing on dangerous paths and no more climbing on shabby ironworks. Today taking a hike on the top of the Mount Ulriken is more or less affordable for everyone. Just rest on one of the big steps when you are tired!

Ulriken is the highest of the Seven Mountains (de syv fjell) that surround Bergen, Norway. It has an altitude of 643 metres above sea level.
Ulriken has an aerial tramway, Ulriksbanen, that can bring people to the top. At the top there is a TV tower, a restaurant, and free telescopes.

SULLE CIME DEL MONTE ULRIKEN - BERGEN NORVEGIA
Il Monte Ulriken è la più alta
tra le 7 affascinanti montagne
che circondano Bergen.
643 m. dalla superfice del mare,
è praticata in ogni stagione dell'anno
sia dai cittadini locali e Norvegesi
in genere, che da stranieri.
Sulla cima, vi è costruita una grande torre
per radiodiffusione e telecomunicazione,
ed è visibile da molti punti di Bergen.
La cima ci si può raggiungerla
sia a piedi che con la funivia Ulriksbanen,
che è molto usata per la maggior parte
da stranieri o persone con minori
condizioni fisiche.
Una delle maggiori alture, dalla quale
tra altro, ci si può godere di una incantevole
veduta panoramica del monte,
risiede dal lato opposto alla torre
verso Vidden, ed è caratterizzata da una
grande Varde con una scritta
per il ricordo dei morti
durante l'invasione e l'occupazione
dei tedeschi in Norvegia
1940-1945.
In questa presentazione si vedranno immagini
dell'inizio dei primi sentieri da Montana
attraverso korketrekkeren, e vedute panoramiche
della città e del monte, da differenti punti di altezza dalla cima.
Si vedrà inoltre la Grande Varde
verso Vidden, ed una veduta panoramica del Monte Ulriken
fotografata da questo punto (inizio presentazione).
Sulla cima si apportano
sempre modifiche e riparazioni,
ai fini di fare quanto meglio è possibile
per l'attrazione e l'interesse pubblico
internazionale per il Monte Ulriken.
Attualmente vi è costruito un ottimo
Caffè/Ristorante, ed un magazzino per vendita
di articoli sportivi per montagna
(Fjellbutikk - Fjellshopping - Mountain Shopping).
Una escursione al Monte Ulriken risulterà
sempre piena di nuove fantastiche esperienze,
in special modo se la condizione fisica permette
dare più sfogo ad una bizzarra improvvisazione.

Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway. The city centre and northern neighbourhoods are located on Byfjorden, the city fjord, and the city is surrounded by mountains; Bergen is known as the city of seven mountains. Trading in Bergen may have started as early as the 1020s. According to tradition the city was founded in 1070 by king Olav Kyrre. It served as Norway's capital in the 13th century, and from the end of the 13th century became a bureau city of the Hanseatic League. Until 1789, Bergen enjoyed exclusive rights to mediate trade between Northern Norway and abroad and it was the largest city in Norway until surpassed by the capital city, Oslo, in the 1830s. If you want an even more spectacular experience, you should consider Mount Ulriken instead. This is the highest mountain in Bergen and has a spectacular view over Bergen and its surroundings.
