EPIC Jungle Trek in Chiang Mai (Untouched Thailand Tour)
After leaving Cambodia for the last time, Stephanie and I headed to Chiang Mai! It wasn't my first time in Thailand, but it was my first time in Chiang Mai. We decided to get out of the city on our first day on the highly rated Untouched Thailand Tour, which took us to the Long Neck Karen tribe, Doi Inthanon park to see the Royal Twin Pagodas, and then on a memorable hike through waterfalls, orchids and rice fields where our tour guide entertained us along the way with all his nature knowledge. Wth rain predictions all day, it held out just long enough, and we were really lucky!

Thailand's Northern Hilltribes Trek from Chiang Mai (G Adventures)
Thailand's Northern Hilltribes Trek from Chaiang Mai with G Adventures was truly an eye opening experience.
Eating and sleeping with the hilltribes of North Thailand has brought me face-to-face with these colourful cultures in this rarely visited part of the country. The idea of taking tourism into the lesser known areas helps to support local communities as most of Thailand's tourism is found further to the south and lets face it, it's one heck of a travel experience.
We started our Journey in Chiang Mai and was taken by 4x4 to our starting point where we met with our jungle guide who was also a member of the hill tribe community, the first day was the toughest as we hiked through dense jungle to the first village where we stayed with one of the local families, they cooked for us and welcomed us into their simple way of life, we spent the evening around a fire drinking and playing games. The second day was an early start so that we could reach the second village before dark, today was more easy going and we learnt a lot about the jungle and it's wildlife.
For anyone thinking about doing this kind of trek please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
