Squacco heron. Ardeola ralloides. Garcilla cangrejera en Urdaibai.
La garcilla cangrejera es una preciosa especie de ave que cría en el sur de España. En Bizkaia es bastante rara, sólo vista ocasionalmente en las marismas de Urdaibai, por lo que me siento muy feliz de poder disfrutarla cerca de casa.
Squacco heron is a beautiful bird specie that breeds in south Spain. In Biscay it's extremely rare, only seen ocasionally at Urdaibai's marshes, so I feel very happy having the possibility to enjoy it near my home.
