Utah Final Epic Day Fishing! - McFly Angler Episode 62
Well, this had to be one of the most productive days fishing I have ever had, and quality fish as well! Some of them had so much girth that they looked like little tuna's. And the hardest fighting fish had a head the size of my hand. Amazing day fishing rainbows! I was able to streamer fish, dry fly fish, and nymph. The rainbows here fight like crazy, and are an absolute blast!
So 6 lakes is a really nice resort that is very reasonably priced for what they are offering. The cabin can hold up to 12 guys, and is around $300-400 a night. So that can end up being just a few bucks for each of you. All of the lakes at this resort hold some nice fish, and its fairly easy to catch them if you know what you are doing. However its not overly easy, and the fish make you work for it, which makes the experience much better than just fishing a hatchery or something. I really enjoyed this day fishing, and I will always remember my time spent with this great group. of guys!
So I know not many of you read the description section here, but I want to let you guys know that this will be my last fishing video for some time. 2.5 years of working hard to keep this channel going, and I ended up putting lots of money on credit cards to keep my family afloat during this time. The channel did not bring enough money in for me to support my family. And working over 60 hours a week at it, it was not allowing me to go get a 2nd job that did pay what my family needs. I am very sad that I cannot continue, and I appreciate all of my subscribers! God bless each and every one of you, and I will keep you all in my prayers! I ended up getting a job at a car dealership near by my house, which I am confident I will be able to pay off the credit card bills in no time, and be able to support my family in the way they deserve. Please don't miss the video coming out this Friday on the 20 incher stonefly. Its a great bug, one worth learning to tie! I love all of you! God bless! I will still be here answering questions and helping out on comments, so please say hi every once in a while. I cannot promise I will be as quick with it though like I used to be. But I will work hard at getting back to all of you!

Aerial Drone Video of Fly Fishing on the Middle Provo in Heber, Utah
Testing out the drone on the Middle Provo River with Jim, and Steve from Fish Heads Fly Shop in Heber, Utah... thanks guys.
Tied her onto the backpack and away we went. Turns out it's really challenging to put down the rod and get decent shots on the river.
Oh, and we stumbled upon this bull moose just across the river from us on our way out. Way cool!
A day spent on the river is always a good day! Stay tuned for more fly fishing drone footage to come.

Yellowstone Cutthroats in Utah
Yellowstone Cutthroats caught in the Raft River mountains of Northwestern Utah as part of the Utah Cutthroat Slam. Cutthroat trout are incredible and are the only trout native to Utah. The Northwestern corner of Utah in the Raft River mountains is the only place you can catch them in their native range. This area was beautiful! I could not believe there were native Yellowstone Cutts in this tiny creek. The biggest fish I caught was in water that was 6 wide by 12 deep. Tenkara definitely gave me an advantage on this tiny stream. Very exciting day of fishing!!!

Fishing Dry Flies March 2019 Provo River Utah
Want to fish with Jim and Dan?

It's about 3 pm. in the afternoon of a very pleasant early Spring day. Blue winged olives are hatching (common name, actually these particular little baetis mayflies aren't olive bodied). Trout are rising in the inflow current at a large very deep pool in the Lower Provo River in Utah. It's a cloudy day and light conditions make seeing tiny flies very difficult so we use a dry fly we can see followed by a size 22 bwo emerger on about a 3 foot long 6X dropper. We're using long leaders and making casts to current seams where trout are rising. Not just any fly will satisfy these educated fish. Good sized brown trout are ignoring the fly if the pattern and drift aren't just right, even smaller sized rainbows are hard to fool. The big rainbows aren't coming up, we have to go deep for them. If you would like to learn fly fishing first hand, contact us about classes or guide trips. Some contact information is at the end of the video.
2010 Tour of Utah Criterium - Park City, Utah
This was one of the coolest things I've ever seen! I've been cyclist and fan for years, but never seen a professional race, much less a criterium on a stupidly dangerous course in the downtown of my favorite place in the world - Park City.
We were in town for our annual mtn bike pilgrimage. Levi Leipheimer and Francisco Mancebo headlined this stage as George Hincapie crashed out on a prior stage. The speeds were insane and Leipheimer went on to win the overall the next day.
