The Vadodara bus station is the central bus station serving the city of Vadodara in Gujarat, India.
It was built under a public-private partnership between the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) and realty firm Cube Construction. Built at a cost of ₹114 crore, the five-storey terminus is spread over 2.4 lakh square feet.
Called the Ved Transcube Plaza, it has the Vadodara Central Bus Terminal as well as a commercial complex. The terminus handles over 800 buses and as many as 28,000 to 35,000 passengers daily.

The Narmada is the fifth largest river in the Indian subcontinent, traversing 1,312 km through Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat to drain into the Arabian Sea at the Gulf of Cambay. The river has a basin area of 97,410 square km and flows between the Vindhya and Satpura mountain ranges. The Sardar Sarovar Dam is built on the Narmada near Rajpipla in the state of Gujarat. Here are six astounding facts about this massive multipurpose water resources project.
The Sardar Sarovar Dam is a 1,210 m long concrete gravity dam with a proposed final height of 163 m above the deepest foundation level. At present, it stands at a height of 121.9 m.
It is world’s second largest dam in terms of volume of concrete used.
The river catchment area above the dam site is spread across 88,000 square km.
It has a spillway discharging capacity of 87,000 cumecs.
It has the longest canal network in the world and includes the Narmada Main Canal, around 2,500 km of branch canals, 5,500 km of distributaries, and other associated channels.
The 458.3km long, 1,133 cumecs capacity Narmada Main Canal in Gujarat is the largest irrigation lined canal in the world. It further extends by 74 km in Rajasthan, and has 38 off-taking branch canals being built in phases.

The 12927/12928 Mumbai Central Vadodara Vadodara Express is a super fast express train belonging to Indian Railways that runs between Mumbai Central and Vadodara in India. It is a daily service. It operates as train number 12927 from Mumbai Central to Vadodara and as train number 12928 in the reverse direction.
The Vadodara Express has 1 AC 1st Class cum AC 2 tier, 1 AC 2 tier, 6 AC 3 tier, 11 Sleeper class, 4 General class coaches. At times, it also carries a High Capacity Parcel Van.
It is a daily train & covers the distance of 392 kilometres in 6 hours 15 mins as 12927 Vadodara Express (62.72 km/hr) & 6 hours 20 mins as 12928 Vadodara Express (61.89 km/hr).
Prior to February 2012, Dual traction WCAM 1 or WCAM 2/2P locos would haul the train between Mumbai Central & Vadodara.
Western Railways completed DC Electric Conversion to AC on 5 February 2012. It is now regularly hauled by a Vadodara based WAP 4 locomotive.
12927 Mumbai Central Vadodara Vadodara Express leaves Mumbai Central every day at 23:40 hrs IST and reaches Vadodara at 05:55 hrs IST the next day.
12928 Vadodara Mumbai Central Vadodara Express leaves Vadodara every day at 22:30 hrs IST and reaches the Mumbai Central at 04:50 hrs IST the next day.
Railways has plans to develop 640 Utkrisht rakes as part of upgradation of its mail/express trains in the next two years at a cost of Rs 400 crore.
The rakes have also been given a new colour scheme on the exterior - beige and maroon.
Developed as 'green rakes' (consisting of 20 or 22 coaches) at Eastern Railways' Liluah workshop, they cost Rs 60 lakh each.
The rakes will provide better facilities to passengers, including LED lightings, odourless toilets.
The toilets of all the coaches have improved fittings, vinyl wrapping provided at the doorways of the coaches, night glow stickers and Braille signages inside the coaches and new colour scheme.
The unique feature of this Utkrisht Rake is the provision of Swachh Rail Toilet (SRT), which is a hybrid design of bio-toilet system.
All coaches of this rake are fitted with energy efficient LED tubelights, panel of LED lights in doorway and gangway, provision of dustbins in the toilets, stickers with 'Go Green' messages, provision of integrated basin-cum-dustbins in AC coaches.

Foreign, local artists paint Central Bus station wall in Vadodara
Vadodara: As many as 29 artists from across India and the world painted the wall of Vadodara central bus station here as part of the Global Art Festival. The artists were from U.K., U.S.A., Germany, Canada, Italy, Spain, Maxico, Japan, Turky, Belgium, Rwanda, Yuganda, Arjentina, Chille and other countries. They were joined by M.S. University Fine Arts faculty ex--students. Around 500 square ft wall was painted with colors in four hours span by artists. The artists who earlier participated in Global Art Festival in Kutch also visited Fine Arts faculty and Vadodara museum.
