Chiavenna Valley - Lombardy - Italy
Valchiavenna is an Alpine region crossed by rivers and Liro Mera. Composed, together with the territories of the Valtellina and Val di Lei and Livigno, the province of Sondrio. It is located in the Lombardy region. The territory of the valley belongs to the Diocese of Como.
The shape of Valchiavenna can be compared to a Y, divided into three areas:
-The first is the main area (Lower Valchiavenna) seen taking the valley from the south and stretching from trivium Fuentes, above Colico Chiavenna, including the Plan of Chiavenna and mountains and neighboring valleys. This is, properly speaking, Valchiavenna true;
-The second is the western continuation, the Valley Spluga (or Val San Giacomo), which starts and ends Chiavenna Splügenpass;
-The third is the eastern continuation, the Bergell (also known as the Valley of Mera), which leads to Chiavenna Italian-Swiss border and then ends at the pass. The Bergell may not be regarded as one of Valchiavenna, although his two Italian towns (Piuro Chiavenna and Villa) are part of the Montana Valchiavenna.

Neste video encontra imagens do percurso entre Varenna e Vezio. Subida estreita e acentuada com curvas por vezes com 180 graus, aqui e ali entre as árvores possível observar a paisagem do lago.
