NEMES Anna: Vannak
Várfok Galéria (1012 Budapest, Várfok u. 11.)
A kiállítás nyitva: 2017. 05. 05. – 06. 03., kedd - szombat 11 és 18 óra között.
Nemes Anna (1989, Budapest) 2014-ben végzett a Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetem festő szakán, Bukta Imre osztályában.

Anna NEMES: They Are
VÁRFOK GALLERY
1012 Budapest, Várfok str. 11.
THURSDAY, 4th May, 2017., between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The exhibition is open: 05. 05.– 03.06. 2017.,
Tuesday – Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Anna Nemes (1989, Budapest) finished her studies in painting at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2014, where she was a member of Imre Bukta’s class. She joined the permanent artist circle of the Várfok Gallery in 2016, as its youngest artist. Previously, her works have been shown in various locations in both solo and joint exhibitions and have already found their way into the private ownership of Hungarian and International collectors.
Nemes’ work predominantly focusses on the appearance of the human body which is depicted naked and in an exceptional way. She uses the canvas, the brushes and the paint with peerless buoyancy in order to portray disabled people, body builders, relatives, or the reanimated anatomy of human body. The figures in her paintings may be shown in sensual or distressing positions or situations but always within an intimate atmosphere which the artist creates around them. However, mysterious secrets are kept from the viewer leaving space for reflection and interpretation.
The painting process is unusual and individual. Nemes’ technique is characterised by dissolving acrylic paint and applying it to the snow-white canvas with an unprecedented and eminent sensuality.

Várfok Gallery: HOLLÓS ÁDÁM
Hollós Ádám első nagyszabású egyéni kiállítása a Várfok Galéria nagy terében október 20-án nyílik Diszkomfort címen és november 19-ig lesz megtekinthető.
A kiállítás nyitva: 2016. 10. 21. – 2016. 11. 19., kedd-szombat 11 és 18 óra között.

‘Discomfort’, the first large-scale solo exhibition of Ádám Hollós, opens on October 20th 2016 in the Main Gallery of the Várfok Gallery and runs until November 19th 2016.
Ádám Hollós, born in 1984 in Budapest, graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts Painting Department in 2011 and, in the same year, joined the artist’s circle of the Várfok Gallery.
The works of Ádám Hollós are very much grounded in the reality of everyday life. He reinterprets moments and glimpses of city life. He analyses the scene, breaks down the various components and then carefully and methodically reconstructs the elements but with an altogether different quality. He poses questions, challenging the viewer and society at large. In Hollós’s latest works, a feeling of discomfort pervades the images. As the viewer encounters the painted scene, instinctive reactions are triggered which provoke a series of personal memories, thoughts and ideas. Hollós compresses a multitude of emotions into a single frame which then he allows viewers to unpick and unfold within themselves.
Ádám Hollós admits that, during the creation of his latest works, he was under the spell of the colour purple whilst, at the same time, using electrically charged neon shades alongside simpler, earthy tones. Thus, he has created distinct contrasts within the internal environment of the picture itself.
The exhibition is open from 21 October, 2016 until 19 November, 2016, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., from Tuesday to Saturday
